Imagine the great hypocrisy of the Op! Tinubu among Obi and Atiku is far more insultive than Obi supporters. Obi and Atiku do not insult but Tinubu insult other candidates yet the Op is concerned, not about Obi but his supporters. You think if you vote a man you dont believe in, you're doing Obi? It's like someone saying he won't serve God because he doesn't like the behavior of church members...such childish argument You were never going to vote Obi but looking for excuse. chaddy16: In this momentous time for our democracy, it is crucial that we take the opportunity to truly understand ourselves, our values, and our cultural backgrounds. The upcoming 2023 general elections are poised to be a valuable learning experience, providing answers to many pressing questions about who we are as a people.
As a proud Yoruba son, I was raised with an appreciation for cultural diversity and the importance of being respectful and responsible towards others. However, the recent candidacy of Peter Obi and the fervent support he has received from his people have unfortunately been marred by a great deal of animosity, particularly towards supporters of Tinubu.
As someone who was considering casting my vote for Peter Obi, I was deeply disappointed by the disrespectful and antagonistic behavior of his supporters. Politics should not be a war of words and insults, and if you wish to sway my vote, you must do so with respect and compassion, rather than by hurling curses and insults at me.
It is clear that the Igbos have faltered in this regard, and I hope they will learn from their mistakes in the future. As someone who values all people, regardless of race or ethnicity, I personally choose not to support an Hausa candidate, as I believe their past actions have done irreparable harm to our country. However, this does not mean that I must resort to cursing or abusing their supporters in order to make my point.
Instead, I urge the Igbos to work towards fostering greater respect and compassion in their political discourse. Rather than resorting to insults and hostility, they should strive to present a positive narrative that highlights the strengths and merits of their chosen candidate.
Ultimately, it is up to each of us to set a positive example for others to follow. By cultivating a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding, we can work towards a brighter future for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or ethnicity. So let us strive to be better, and let us work together to build a more united, more prosperous, and more respectful Nigeria.

You're saying what you have no power to execute. You can't even remove a dog from Lagos how much more a human being nisai: Stop fretting over what's non of your concern. As far as we are concerned in the West, Yorubas from kogi, Kwara, Benin rep, Togo or even far away Brazil have more right in Yorubaland than any group that has no cultural ties with us.
Which part of Lagos are you talking about? |
Politics › Re: Yoruba Is Free Anywhere In Yorubaland by DMerciful(m): 8:53am On Feb 22, 2023 |
We did not asked to be in same country with you, in fact, we fought for Biafra and was free for 3yrs. You fought to bring us back, you had it coming because now you have to deal with us! The whole of Nigeria is our heritage! There's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Anybody that's not originally from Lagos by ancestry irrespective of language spoken is also an immigrant in Lagos. There's nothing difficult to speak a language. Lagos belongs to all Nigerians equally Dsalvo: You should direct that question at yourself. The Liverpudlian and Mancunian speak the same language albeit with distinct accents. They have the same socio-economic leanings and ideology.
Most importantly, they are tolerant. They live and let live. They are inclusive and see each other as the same overall with issues of superiority and discrimination very muted and inconsequential rather than the pervasively self-destructive menace to society it is in our Nigeria.
The reality is that the SW is a microcosm of the UK whereas Nigeria is like the EU with Brits having similar problems to issues in Nigeria today that forced them to Brexit.
You and your kinsmen should stop promoting garbage you believe benefits the covetous and hideously irresponsible way you Igbos wish to live.
It it time we all take responsibility for the progress and development of our regions instead of having the freedom to flee it to then go and overwhelm/burden others all in the name of 'one Nigeria'while dragging indigenese who have stakeholder superiority.
Such is killing us today leaving Nigeria a 'crab in a bucket' nation where no people or region, regardless of how hard they are prepared to work, can escape the misery of our current reality.
A state of affairs you lot, happy to sell spare parts even in Sambisa forest, revel in. You guys are educated but not progressive, responsible or visionary. |

You have to form Yoruba nation first. Can you say someone from Liverpool city is a stranger in Manchester city? Or someone from New York is an immigrant in California? Do you know what a country means? cocolacec: Very true just kike England is for the English and Germany is for the Geemans. |

What about Yorubas in Kogi, Benin Republic, Brazil, Togo? Because Lagos has been built by all Nigerians, you wanna reap where you did not sole. What makes you have more right to Lagos than someone from Delta? Mind you Niger Delta oil money built Lagos
The idea that Yoruba from other states are also migrants in Lagos is ridiculous. Imagine thinking an Ijebu in Epe is different from the one in Ijebu Ode or the Awori in Igbesa Ogun are not the same as the ones in Apapa Lagos because of the artificial construct of state borders. https://twitter.com/Cappadiszle/status/1628017075225493504?t=4mlkN8yXetaI0rMBush_Hg&s=19
|

New ₦200,₦500 and ₦1000 notes were printed by the CBN last year even though they knew they will redesign it
The cashless policy is not well planned by Emefiele
He needs to pay for this economic sabotage and also pay for damages to banks.

Gowon was head of state for 9 years..he had two vice at different times..both were Christians.
Awolowo, his defacto prime minister , was also a Christian..
The Muslims did not burn down Nigeria because of that.

Renting crowd for one lg rally is different from buying electorates, secutiry people, electoral officials and judges across the country. You think the 10 APC governors are fighting for the masses? You're so naive! Tflex01: With which money?
If Tinubu can still rent crowd in this current condition, that means he can conveniently buy votes on 25th.

Tinubu will never be president dustmalik: This is one of the most absurd things I have heard this week. How could the PSC appoint someone who has been ranting all over the place, someone who is clearly partisan and has shown clear disdain and hate against one of the leading candidates for the upcoming elections? How could the PSC appoint such person to monitor the conduct of security officials during the elections? This is someone who has made it clear that she is supporting Atiku.
Indeed, it's obvious that the cabal will stop at nothing to sabotage Tinubu, but he will surely come out victorious |
