You think going to places like Canada, Germany is about making much money? Do you know your life expectancy increases when you go to developed countries?

Quality of life does not necessarily depend on money but the environment.

Netherlands, zone of poverty? US and UK that buys things from China, are they not superpowers?

All Southern States, not even region can stay on their own. We were on our own before colonization even when there was no technology like now. The North should wake up and smell the coffee, this arrangement not gonna last!
Hisbah21:
ok then go bought food outside the country. those countries most of them are zone of poverty. The same selfish interest seperate them away from their original country. and look at how poverty is looming

How big is Liberia? Siere Lone? Lithuania? Netherlands? Malta? Sao Tome? Malta?

Common, we were surviving as kingdoms and autonomous communities before the white men came with colonization. The food you think you produce can be bought from anywhere. Even US does not produce all it needs

Just watch, when a competent govt takes over, things will turn around. Then you'll know Bubu is notoriously incompetent. He did it in 1984 and now!
Yusman316:
Nigerians! Very funny lot. At a time there was an oil boom, less insecurity and lesser government expenditure with a lesser population, the government couldn't do much to improve the economy or standard of living of the citizens. It is now that everything has nose dived with less earnings from oil sales, global economic downturn, high insecurity, meaning more spending on the military instead of critical infrastructure, higher government expenditure due to an increased in population and so on. That's when they expect economic miracle just because the president is buhari. Las las everybody eye go clear

Bubu is full of corruption and that's why he is currently running a fantastically corrupt govt
ThatFairGuy1:
Shagari's house arrest and Ekueme's jail can't be a corruption.

Was that during Buhari/Idiagbon tenure? NO.

The missing money during his Ministerial tenure is still acclaimed. Not traced to anyone yet. I personally would love it enquired

Bubu gave Shagari house arrest but threw Ekwueme in prison, that's corruption. Also 2.7 billion naira disappeared from his ministry when he was petroleum minister. Under ptf, 25 billion went missing. He said Abacha never stole but recovering Abacha loot

Every inch of Nigeria belongs to all Nigerians including Yoruba land. You had it coming alright: you thought you were doing others when you insisted on one Nigeria in the past
Dsalvo:
Well said brother. 2023 will indeed be sweet. It will separate the wheat from the chafe. We know the North do not want restructuring.

We also know Igbos are a confused people who are not advocates of good governance per se and will swing behind anything depending on what they have to gain.

They can reject restructuring at the drop of a hat if made a "cornerstone" (as GEJ described them) of Atiku's PDP Government.

It is the SW that needs restructuring vitally because the troubled years under Buhari and Jonathan has shown us that we may go down with other hopeless regions if we don't restructure to gain a system somewhat akin to regionalism.

Yorubas are in exactly the position that led Britain to Brexit. The comparative economic success of Britain made her the top destination for migrants from other EU States.

The Brexit vote simply confirmed that more Britons believed the nation needed to control her border, and the influx of those seeking a better life, to protect British people.

We cannot 'Yorubexit' from Nigeria. Yet as a proud and capable people , we now uncompromisingly want solutions that means we are able to use our talent and endowment to secure a better existence and future for Yorubas.

Believe me bro, this is all SW Yoruba intelligentsia now talk about everywhere I go and a political discussion ensues. It seems many Yorubas now see the situation as 'restructure or die'.

When the heat of the battle rages, I would really love to see, given the many negatives we Yorubas have suffered the most because of 'one Nigeria', the Yorubas amongst us who would dare work for the PDP Fulani candidate, indicating 'more of the same' for Yorubas and the SW, or try to sabotage an APC Yoruba.

I believe all this is 'demo' and ashawo runs by OPC. They will eventually be put in their place because Yoruba intellectuals, who believe it is their responsibility to agitate on behalf of even uneducated Yorubas in the the most remote Village, are not compromising with restructuring, as an uncompromising demand on the next President, that will give us more control over our affairs.

We sprung behind Buhari because we believed he had the qualities and personal character to uncompromisingly push for it. Indeed Buhari has actually now proven to many Yorubas that Nigeria can never be restructured, benevolently for all, under a Northerner.

Most Yorubas now feel restructuring restructuring is something that is inevitable. It can be delayed but not denied. In fact this is the reason the OPC is using it to drive their personal agenda. They know restructuring, and changing the core nature of how Nigeria works, resonates strongly with every Yoruba today.

OPC will be shocked by the raw vehemence they will face over a goal many Yorubas now feel is bigger than the self-interest of any individual or group. Na me talk am.

The North sees political parties as vehicles to get presidency, the South sees it as a sacred place and that's why Northerners move btw PDP and APC but Southwesterners sees APC as good including the 80% that came from PDP.

Anyways, SW has got it coming alright. Power remains in the North until SW do what is equitable and just!
Pakute:
Is this how really dumb you are?
The North produced Presidents in both PDP & APC, why can't you go wail at their feet. Restrain from quoting me henceforth.

Action and reaction are equal and opposite.
By supporting a lesser evil, you encourage a greater evil. Same way you feel that Yorubas should get the presidency again(lesser evil) after obj 8yrs and vp 8yrs, you're encouraging the North to hold presidency forever(greater evil)
Pakute:
Pls, stop quoting me, I hate engaging dumb people. Is primaries same as a general election?.. dimwit.

But when June 12 was annulled, you guys made it seem it was the first election to be annulled. What made you think Nigeria was ready for a Muslim-Muslim ticket then?
Pakute:
Hail what?. Your question sounds so dumb. SDP wasn't a Yoruba party. The masses were tired of the military & never wanted a military representative at the helm of a civilian regime. Yar'Adua represented the continuation of IBB regime & it was obvious there was an underhand dealing during the primaries. The annulment reflected the feelings of the entire country.
Politics › Re: 2023 Presidency: Tinubu Working On Declaration Date –DG Campaign Council by DMerciful(m): 10:47pm On Jan 02, 2022
Ok noted. But why did Yorubas hail the first primaries that was annulled but praised the second that favored Yorubas?
Pakute:
MKO didn't contest the first primaries, it was Olu Falae. MKO contested the second primaries and won convincingly.
Politics › Re: Falae: There May Be No Government In Abuja After Buhari by DMerciful(m): 9:45pm On Jan 02, 2022
We are all in Nigeria, let's see how things unfold.

When the time is right, Igbos will be victorious. For now, you can enjoy your alliance and double standard with the North. Nigeria has got it coming alright
CrystalBliss:
Igbos should first fix the SE before fixing Nigeria. The truth is that, the solution to Nigeria's problems isn't in the hand of any tribe.

You can't blame anyone for voting Buhari in 2019. The two leading political parties both fielded northern candidates. Non of them fielded an Igbo. Moreso, we all know that Buhari didn't win that election. He rigged himself in. He was not supported by the SW.

Before you ask whether Obi ever drummed support for Kanu. He would be very dumb to do so openly. The question I'll ask you is that have you ever seen Obi openly voice his lack of support for Kanu?
Crime › Re: Bandits Kill Farmer, Five Others In Taraba by DMerciful(m): 9:38pm On Jan 02, 2022
Why do you guys call them bandits instead of terrorists?

How come nobody is saying that Northerners cannot get the presidency because of their terrorism from bokoharam and herdsmen(so-called bandits are bokoharam)
Omooba77:
Bandits have killed a farmer, Irimiya Musa, and five other people in Jauro Manu village, Gassol Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Daily Trust gathered the gunmen, five in number, stormed the house of the large scale farmer at about 4.30pm Saturday.

The gunmen, each on a motorcycle, shot him in front of his house before shooting the five others who were playing cards at the same place.

It was further gathered that Musa and four others died on the spot while the sixth person, identified as Haruna, died at the Federal Medical Center where he was taken to for treatment.

A source in the village told Daily Trust that the gunmen had attacked the house of the farmer on the 10th of September, 2021 but were repelled by the villagers who mobilized and confronted the gunmen.

The source further stated that one of the attackers at that time was killed and later identified as a herdsman residing with his parents at a Fulani settlement near the village.

He said the village had not been attacked since then until last Saturday, adding that there is confusion in the area as fear has griped the residents.

When contacted, the police spokesperson of the Taraba Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, said the DPO in Mutum Biyu headquarters of Gassol Local Government Area was yet to report the incident to the command.
