What women find attractive in a guy

They say that women are a mystery, but really, we’re not as complicated as people think we are. We’re just human beings, for crying out loud. So listen up, boys! Here is what women find attractive in a guy.

#1 It’s all in the voice. When I hear a deep manly voice, the hairs on my neck go up. It’s hot. I’m not the only one who thinks this. Actually, many women subconsciously associate deep tones with being more masculine and gentle. What a beautiful combination!

#2 Is he tall? Well, he doesn’t have to be 6’’ tall, but ideally, you want him taller than you. Women prefer men who are taller.

It has to do with the fact that we want someone who will protect us. It gives us the sense that we are able to rely on that guy. Oh yes, that’s what women are attracted to in a guy. But whether or not he would actually protect you is a different story.

#3 Sense of humor. Women like men who will make them laugh. This is a classic known fact. Laughing releases happy hormones… it’s not our fault. Also, laughing also subconsciously indicates to us that the guy is a good person. So, if you’ve been trying to pull of the mysterious guy act, give it a rest.

#4 Symmetrical faces. Whether you’re a man or woman, people are attracted to people with symmetrical faces. Humans like symmetry, because well, everything in nature is symmetrical. It shows that he comes from strong genes. At the end of the day, subconsciously, it’s about finding a suitable mate. Sorry to burst the bubble.

#5 We want that testosterone. This is a biological component of what women find attractive in a guy. But not gym-monkey testosterone with the veins popping out, that doesn’t excite us. Women tend to lean towards men with a stronger jawline and brow bones because it shows that they have a high amount of testosterone.

What’s the big deal about testosterone? It shows that those men have a healthy immune system and less oxidative stress flowing throughout their body. That after-gym smell that men have, you remember that? There’s a reason why women love it. It’s the release of testosterone.

#6 Friendliness. But not creepy friendly. There’s a line between being nice and looking into a restraining order. When women first meet a guy, they actually prefer if they’re a little guarded. I’ve been hit on at bars where the guy is just waaaay too friendly. And you know what happens? Nothing. I walk away. That’s why women like bad boys.

#7 Spontaneity. Women like men who aren’t glued to the couch or fixated on a workout regime. We want someone who will be able to go on a last-minute weekend getaway or surprise us with tickets to a concert. These things show that they’re lively and want to explore and be adventurous. #8 Strong beard game. Oh God, I melt in front of a beautifully bearded man. I also melt in front of non-bearded men, but something about a beard just lights me up. Bearded men are actually seen as better father material and show masculinity, sexual maturity, and leadership. Yummy! #9 Is open. There is nothing worse than talking to a guy who won’t open up to you. Women are interested in men who are willing to be vulnerable in a conversation. This doesn’t mean the guy has to tell you his deepest darkest secret, but just the ability to be able to have a conversation that’s deeper than a kiddie pool.

#10 Is a leader. Women want men that can take charge when necessary. That doesn’t mean we want someone who’s going to control our every step and make our decisions for us. But when I can’t figure out what restaurant to have dinner at, it’s nice to have someone that’ll help out and pick a place.

#11 He has empathy. When I’m having a bad day, I want a guy who’ll be able to understand what I’m going through and support me. Not some guy that just says, “yeah, that sucks” and goes back to watching the hockey game.

Women need men who are empathetic. I mean, everyone is looking for someone who’s empathetic or else you’d be a psychopath. Never, ever forget that this is what women find attractive.

#12 Hygiene. Shockingly, women like men who are clean. I know, I know, this may come as a revelation to you. Yes, we do like the grunge look sometimes, but we also want our guy to shower at least once a week. I feel like this is obvious. Women like clean men.

#13 He can carry on a conversation. Have you ever been on a date where the other person couldn’t hold a conversation? Do you know how painful that is? I know the pain. I get why women want a guy who can hold a conversation. If he can’t hold a conversation, it won’t matter how many of these other traits he has.

#14 Is driven. Listen, you don’t have to have a lot of money. But what you have to have it the drive to make something of yourself. That also doesn’t mean your goal has to be CEO or famous actor. It just has to be the drive to want better for yourself. That shows that you’re a provider and that you have self-respect.

#15 Isn’t a clinger. Women can be horrible clingers, but so can men. I know some pretty terrible stage 5 clingers that I had to literally shake off. Just like guys, we want someone who’s independent and has their own life. Not someone who literally can’t sleep at night without knowing what TV show you’re watching.

#16 Confidence. We all have our own insecurities, however, that doesn’t make us less of a person. Confidence is what divides people from the ones we’re interested in and the ones we’re not. Confidence is key. Have you seen a guy walk into a room with his head held high? It’s God damn sexy.
