EducationRe: Is This The Dirtiest Hostel In Nigeria?uniabuja Male Hostel Main Canpus by dnapstar(m): 10:44am On May 19, 2018
BecaciaBarbie:
Wow!

And I'm certain these students will push the blame on the VC or SUG president right?
So who used that toilet without flushing it?

Who peed on the ground?

Who messed the whole place up?

Who littered the ground with waste?

Definitely not the SUG president / The V.C

You guys are hilarious!!!! You mess up a toilet yourself and expect someone else to clean it up?

Back in school, the only thing I hated about living in the hostel was the way students mess up toilets, especially ladies! How can you walk into a toilet, pee with blood stains, stand up and walk away? My goodness!!!! What a very gross attitude! Seriously, you want the rest of us to step or pee on your blood? Ewwwww!!!! These people need serious help! Students are very very very dirty!!!! Some will even throw water filled with rice, pepper, vegetable leaves, seeds etc on the ground when they can either throw it inside the tunnel and wash it off with water or remove the leaves, rice etc first....

If the school builds another hostel or toilet, you will all still mess it up!!! It is very very sad! You all should learn to treat these hostels like your home.
How can they treat the hostel like their homes when their homes might even be worst. This is a clear evidence of lack of proper home training.
Growing up, it was a crime to allow anyone see your p** or urine. So it was mandatory to flush at all time(if there was no water, you don't use the toilet until you find water to flush).
I grew up knowing this and it has been with me until now. Its just so sad to see such from grown ups. These are the same ppl that would take good looking selfies and upload on social media. Yet they can't take care of their own mess. They have zero respect for the school property.
And some would blame the government.

Did he not do a feasibility study before venturing into a business with limited raw material?

As much as i respect Aliko Dangote, i think he's overrated as a business man because i can count how many businesses that he has failed at even as Nigeria's business man.
Failure is In the DNA of every sucessful business man.
RomanceRe: My fiancée is cheating again by dnapstar(m): 4:34am On May 05, 2018
My friend, love is indeed wicked and you have to learn to deal with it.
I have learnt from several experience that once a cheat is always a cheat.
To find a girl/partner that is 50% faithful is like asking a needle to pass through the eye of a needle.
If you truly love her, stay and deal with it, else look for someone else.
You have to do some tradeoff in your relationship. Look for the character you can work with in her, if there is none, then walk away.
As for cheating, it's always going to be there.
And please if you want to stay sane, never go through your partner's phone.
Work on yourself, give her a good reason to get jealous and to want you by becoming successful or more successful.

I have been to at least 3 HR managers to review my CV and cover letters. In addition to this, I have been to numerous mock interviews with these experts. 2:2 in Accounting, MSc, ACCA part qualified. I got my degree in 2011 and no job yet. "Edit resume" is played out. The only thing that can get you a job in this Nigeria is an exceptional result (2:1, 1st class) + connections. If you rely on only one, you will be frustrated. I went on ngcareers to apply for a position and I saw that 1400 people had already applied for just one slot. And deadline is still 2 weeks away. There will be first class graduates in this group, those that are 5 years younger than me and those with "5 years" experience. Telling someone to edit their CV sounds like an insult most times. I see these applications as phantom applications. Its like sleeping with a ghost- you can never get it pregnant. Even this nairaland gann, someone will just come and say they got a job on nairaland. Then they will now just disappear. No details. Qualifications, interview reviews, nothing. HR "bloggers" will always come up with different lists like "10 things you are doing wrong in your interview", "how seduce the HR manager with your CV", "how to write a cover letter that will get you to heaven".
I feel you. Well it worked perfectly for me, has worked for a lot of people around me.
Also 90% of the interviews I attended was from this forum, credit to everyone who constantly update the forum. For exceptional result. In my opinion, Nigeria is shifting from the exceptional result thing to the "what can do for us", "how can you add value to our organization" thing. No doubt connection is also important. Which is why I advice people to be open and talk to everyone about their search for a job.
Lastly, it's important to have a positive mindset. Stay positive (Law of attraction) and trust God to take care of the rest.
Be patient, nothing good comes easy.

Thanks 4 d concern. I got d bucks 4 7500 minimum and the doe 4 a maximum of 12,000. Some of the does were sold 4 10,000 - 11,000 depending on how far their pregnancy was. The transport cost was 250k cuz the truck was loaded wit goats and sacks of their feed.
Thank you for your feedback. I plan to invest in goat farming and I am trying to gather all the information I can get as I have very little margin for error.
I wish I could contact you on whatsapp or give you a call.

You get called up for interview at least.
For me hardly o Seldom never.
Maybe it's my name or were I hail from.
Well I suggest you make your resume look attractive.
For every job you intend to apply for, take your time and edit your resume to suit the job description. Submit a good cover later.
The first line of defense is always your resume and cover letter I tell people.
You might be very smart and qualified for the job but unfortunately the recruiter can't see that as he or she is yet to meet with you one on one. The only way to convince him/her or the only way get the opportunity to prove yourself is to ensure you submit a resume and cover letter that is attractive.
Give them a reason to be desperate to meet you.

guy u dey always travel down to abuja for every interview. let me tell U, if its not a govt job, pls dont waste ur little transport fare. as u will always have this small small companies to waste ur time.

if u are traveling like this for all this trial & error, when the real one come, u might be tired ooo
This is not a good advice.
I travelled more than 20 times to other states to attend interviews with the so called "small small companies" for the so called "trial and error".
I finally landed a job with a so called "small small company" and was paid over 200k per month. Way higher that what federal government is paying.
I have been waiting for a Fed govt job since 2015 in a federal pyrotechnic where my uncle(dad's immediate younger brother) is currently the dean of engineering. Perhaps from your advice, I should keep waiting until the govt job comes.
In my opinion, i think we should encourage him or her to keep trying. Provided they have confirmed that the interview is authentic. Encourage him to work more on developing himself so as the stand better chances of doing well in his next interview.
Nothing good comes easy, you have to pay the price, You have to leave your comfort zone, you have to make lots of sacrifice. The sun would surely shine. It's only a matter of when and your determination.

After den, 1 by 1 dey began 2 display same symptoms but they are all fine now. A vet dr adminstered some medication on them. Before the medication, all the does were pregnant (they were bought pregnant) wen i bought them but dey started 2 lose their kids. 6 of them have lost their kids and 2 does died after days afta losing their kids. I purchased dem from katsina n i live in kaduna. I dont know if it is the stress of bringing dem here that is causing the abortion storm.

Has any1 experience this before?
Really sad, sorry for the lose. I wanted to ask how much it cost you to buy and transport them to kaduna. I intend to buy from kastina and transport to Suleja(Niger state)

Brother it is only in advanced countries you can ask this question and get good answers. If I ask you what you are good at or what is your passion, the Nigerian factor I'll definitely rule it over. But good a thing you have heard about bet9ja,that is the only investment young men do now. It involves great brains, calculation and no greed. Pick 5 odds of 7 games sure. Roll in N2k,u I'll get N14k. Pick another 5 odd and roll in N10k and u get N50k. Another 2 odd will get you N100k with N50k. Don't be greedy, chose few games. Na so guys de survive now.

I work with an ICT company, as a technical staff. we train students when it comes to the use of computer softwares. Also we are into computer maintenance.

But there is a bad side of it, I don't get paid on time. and apart from that, the pay is not much despite the huge income that comes into the company from training and repairs of computers and printers. I receive five figure as salary and its not able to cater for my monthly needs. The worst part of it is that I was not given xmas holiday despite the fact that the school is on holiday. and what pains me most I have not been paid December salary and it has made the christmas celebration very bad for me. I think I am just being used to build the organisatiion with low return on my side.

I have thought of quitting the job several times, but another thought comes to me not to. Please niaralanders, I can't keep this decision to my self alone and I need your advice. If you were In my shoes, what will you do?
If you read through your write up, you would discover its all negative. It obvious you focus on the negative part only. LAW OF ATTRACTION STATES, "whatever is going on in your mind, you are attracting to yourself". Try to focus on the positive side and you would attract positive things to yourself. There is always a good side to everything, you just have to find it.
Secondly, it wont be a good idea to quit your job, except you have enough cash to last you for 6 months to 1 year. If this is not the case, why not hang-in there while looking for a better option.
Trust me I am talking from Experience.
Do not make the mistake of quitting if you don't have enough cash to last you or enough cash to enable startup your own business.
