Car Talk / Re: A Few Weeks After I Bought My First Car, I Went Home Forgetting That I Had A Car by dogwen: 6:53pm On Jun 03, 2022
obembet:
A Nigerian man bought his first car and drove it work in style. But when he closed, he forgot the car at his work place and jumped on public transport like before and went home and slept off.

He woke up in the night and started looking for the car, thinking it has been stolen.

Here is what he wrote
He was high on kwale weed and Calidon.

A few weeks after I bought my first car around 2012, I went home forgetting that already had a car. I woke up around 11pm and cried that the car had been stolen. I went to work next day and found the silly car siting there.

May God help us.
Even though mostly desert, the remaining parts are very fertile. Besides, the northerners are not lazy when it comes to farming, unlike the southerners who believe in quick money, the reason they easily fall for yahoo yahoo and ritual killings.

The law was passed in the year 2000 which allows Muslim dominated areas in Kaduna and Kano to practice Sharia. This is a fact and not debatable. We are on the same page, Northern Nigeria's version of Islam is something else, without the government curbing these extremist viewpoints, we will continue to see more and more senseless killings.
It was because Christians rejected sharia law in Kaduna that led to the year 2000 sharia crises I'm Kaduna bro. If it's there, it's only I'm theory bro.

Nigeria's President, Muhammadu buhari has reacted to the killing of a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, Deborah Samuel over alleged Blasphemy.

The President strongly condemned the resort to self-help by a mob in sokoto, resulting in violence, destruction and killing of Samuel who reportedly blasphemed Muhammad (SAW), the Prophet of Islam.

In a statement sent to POLITICS NIGERIA on Friday, President Buhari said the news of the killing of the young lady by fellow students was a matter of concern and demanded an impartial, extensive probe into all that happened before and during the incident.

He admonished Muslims all over the world demand respect for the Holy Prophets, including Isah (Alaihissalaam, Jesus Christ) and Muhammad (SAW) but where transgressions occur, as alleged to be the case in this instance, the law does not allow anyone to take matters into their hands.

Moreover, religious leaders preach that it is not for the believer to judge the actions of another person. The constituted authority must be allowed to deal with such matters when they arise.

“No person has the right to take the law in his or her own hands in this country. Violence has and never will solve any problem," said the President.

President Buhari also directed the Ministries of Information and Culture, Police Affairs and that of Communications and Digital Economy to work with GSM providers and Tech companies to help contain the spread of false and inflammatory information through social media.

The President extended the nation’s condolences to the family of the deceased student and wished all those injured a quick recovery.

He commended the immediate response to the incident by the Sokoto State Government and urged religious and community leaders to call citizens’ attention to the need to exercise the right to freedom of speech responsibly.

President Buhari called for tampered comments by the media and calm among the general population while investigation is ongoing to find out the remote and immediate causes of the incident.

Point of correction, Kaduna and Kano does practice Sharia law, it is limited to communities were Muslims are the majority. I don't know about Plateau and Adamawa. Even at that, my point still stands, why would a sane government watch such happen and keep silent? Why should Sharia have more power than the Nigerian Constitution? In a country where the government fails to do the right thing, are we surpiursed that religious
extremists are taking laws into their own hands?

Point of correction, I live in Kaduna. In fact, I was born I Kaduna, I am an indigene of Kaduna. For your information, Kaduna does not practice Sharia law. If it does, it is in theory even in areas like Tudun Wada, Rigasa, Bakin Ruwa, and other areas, in which case it affects only Muslims. As for Kano, I am not sure cos I only go there for market purposes. For Plateau and Adamawa, it's a total nay.
I love your question, "why should sharia have more power than the Nigerian Constitution?". This is to tell you how the northern Islam is something else, and that is my point of interest.

The Sheik is not wrong, if you live in a place where Sharia law is the law of the land. Sharia law will sentence offenders to death for blasphemy, I think by now we all know this. The question we should all be asking is why the Nigerian government chose to allow some states to have Sharia law overtake the Nigerian Constitution?
For your information, it is not only in states where sharia law is the law of the land. Kaduna does not practice sharia law, plateau does not practice sharia law, even Kano, if you check it well, does not practice sharia law, Adamawa state does not too, and a number of others in the north, yet they accept killings from blasphemy.

Ask yourself is Christianity peaceful? Now remember less than 60 years ago people(Jim Crow/KKK) still lynched and killed black folks because according to them they felt the Bible classified them as inferior or defective. When we argue let's do so objectively, human interpretation has been the blemish on most religion.
My friend, please go and read what Islam was after migrating from mecca to Medina, then we can talk more.

Why have Christians in today's Nigeria not been killing Muslims for speaking ills of Christianity if you blame it on leadership. Or are Christians governed by different political leaders from Muslims?

"Objectivity" should come to play here too.
