IduNaOba: Nwokem, no need for all this abeg. Get the protest done without saying you are better than anyone else. There is nothing disorganized or organized about the protests being done elsewhere. They are all protests and the goal is police reform. We are proud of our igbo roots, culture and tradition no doubt, but that doesn't make us better than anyone else. Egbe be lu, Ugo be lu. 6 Likes |

wwwihy: It has nothing to do with chest beating. Right from time, Yoruba's have been good with boxing as a sport. I don't think anyone is contesting that with them. Same way they are the best with table tennis. You guys (both yoruba and igbo) bigots on this platform need to put this silly mentality aside and fight for a better life for your ilks. In any case,. the biafran guy won. The Op was only trying to be silly as usual. 6 Likes |

Lipscomb: The first genocide in the north led to the civil war. Another genocide will definitely lead to another civil war. One thing is certain: Igbos will not be in Nigeria at the end of the next civil war. It is either they kill all the igbos or we have our own country. The earlier we fight the battle that will end this contraption, the better for generations yet unborn across all tribes. As it stands, very few Nigerians are enjoying life. So if we suffer unto death so that they generations to come will have a better life, the better for us all. Blood flowed in Rwanda; today, they are rebuilding the nation. Perhaps, purposeful blood needs to flow in Nigeria (not the waste of blood all around the place) for a better future for those coming. In any case, no matter how hard we try, we all will die someday. 5 Likes |
Politics / Re: Arewa Youths To Buhari: Don't EndSARS, Reform SARS by dokie: 8:12am On Oct 11, 2020 |
AltCtrlDel: There is no country. No need to weep. What we have is a political arrangement where those who can manipulate the circumstances of the contraption to their benefit enjoy the best of the land at the expense of the others. A complete disintegration by any means is the way forward. If we are not ready to go that way, lets just take what we see. |

dominique: No problem na. When you have daughters, send them on errands as you like. I just hope we don't get to read the news on nairaland. But just to be help you because it appears many people on nairaland have no sense. When you have daughters and they must go out either to school or on errands, you should make sure they go in company. It makes it harder for them to be attacked and molested. Dat na if you get sense o. |

Okoroawusa: What would he have done, arrest him? Even within the Nigerian context of democracy, you can't lock up any popular individual for criticizing a sitting president. The likes of Fela were only hounded because it was during the military regime. In any case, wizkid is global. The most the president can do is to trouble his business interest. fortunately, he is a musician. 1 Like |

Hisduchess: And after the thunder strikes them, the girl will be raised back to life ba? I have a daughter, and even if all the rapists in the world were to die as a repercussion of her being raped to death, i would rather have my child unharmed. If you like kill all the rapists in existence today, a new generation of rapists shall arise because mankind tends towards evil by default. The only thing that restrains the evil in man is ideology/principles arising from religious beliefs or culture. So i would do anything humanly possible to protect her from such harm. And i advice you did same if you have a daughter. 1 Like |

Zzor: Somebody is telling you that there is great evil in the land and the girl child is heavily exposed so you need to protect the girl child, and you are asking what sort of comment it is, and suggesting castration for the culprits? You should go and resurrect the girl that has been raped to death. And when you have a little daughter, send her on errands alone as you like so that if she is raped to death, you will castrate the men that do it. |

Politics / Re: In 21st Century, Only Monkeys Still Think Of Fighting War by dokie: 1:26pm On Oct 01, 2020 |
dukeprince50: Wars have been fought from time immemorial and wars would be fought till the end of time. Wars are devastating no doubt, but nations emerge and become better after them. Another Nigerian civil war should be avoided by every means necessary except maintaining the current status quo. The calamity you wish to avoid by avoiding a war is being dispensed in installments under the current status quo: people are dying by the gun, women are being turned to sex slaves, others are living in idp camps etc. Everything that happens in a war like situation is happening piecemeal in Nigeria today without an end in sight. The only difference is that during a war proper, the killings and other ills will happen wholesale. But, when the war comes to an end, the problems of the present Nigeria will be gone, and those who are alive will face emerging problems armed with the experience of hindsight. Two things we should avoid at all cost: a war, and the status quo. |
