gidgiddy: Take it easy. All that Elijah saw was a cloud the size of a fist, but he said " I hear the sound of an abundance of rain". Nnamdi Kanu did not start pulling a crowd the first day he showed up. It took time. This is not a time to get to put up comparisons. Its a time for all well meaning men and women who are sick of this contraption and who believe in their own nationhood to support others who are doing same no matter how little or insignificant their agitations may appear. I wish sunday Igboho, and other comrades who want a better life for their people all the best. 6 Likes |

Obamaofusa: What you have said about the Yorubas with regards to activism and protests cannot be denied. We cannot forget the bravery of men like Gani, Beko, Fela, Soyinka etc . I am only wondering why the yoruba nation is not at the fore front of moves to end Nigeria. A properly governed Lagos, Ogun and Oyo would make the Yoruba nation an envy of other nations in west Africa. SW diaspora is an asset that is so untapped that if 20% of them were to return to build the new nation with sincerity of purpose, Fashola and Ambode's governance combined will look like child's play. Lagos alone can generate so much money to develop infrastructure simply by selling resident permits (not citizenship) to foreigners (especially the igbos) who would not be willing to leave. Why then do you guys lack the will to pursue this agenda and save the rest of Nigeria this implosion that will consume us all? As far as I am concerned, it is the refusal of the Yoruba nation to seek separation from this accursed contraption that is still keeping us all together. What are you people gaining from Nigeria that you cannot get 20 times more from an Oduduwa nation? Few juicy positions at the top and a home front being plundered by fulani bandits on one hand and corrupt politicians like tinubu on the other? I honestly wish i could wake up tomorrow and see the SW in the front lines seeking their own. I wish Sunday Igboho the best. I wish the elites and the press will support him. And i hope guys like you stand firm. Nigeria as it is presently is a dead nation. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

backnbeta: As far as i am concerned, the NigerDelta people are the most Us{less people in this country. How can you have the major resource of the nation being sucked from your land mainly on the terms of outsiders and your land and people are continually suffering for it? They are supposed to be on the front line of attempts to balkanize this nation. They have everything it takes to even fight a war against the nigerian state and have their own. Why on earth are they this unambitious? 1 Like |

Atouke: Yes. I actually just looked at the table and discovered that the state's recurrent surpasses their overall revenue. That's a crises. All they need to do however is to stop alpha beta's consultation fee of 10% (about N42b) and that deficit will be covered. 5 Likes |

Atouke: That you owe more than what you make doesn't necessarily mean that you are broke. It all depends on the repayment terms. Loans given to governments are usually spread over a long period of time. In some cases, well over 20 years. So if Lagos owes N500b which they are to repay in 20years, it simply means that they will be required to repay N25b and the interest component annually. With an IGR of over N35b monthly, that debt is nothing too serious to Lagos. What i think people should be asking is what all that money was used for considering the high FAAC and IGR LASG recieves. 2 Likes |

DEROX: It is not only the election losers in 2015 that are crying. 90% of those who voted for the winner are regretting their actions today and are actually crying more than your supposed "losers". As it stands, every Nigerian was a loser in 2015. If you doubt it, check our status as a nation in 2015 and today. Kindly correct yourself so you don't look dumb. You can be partisan without being stupid. 3 Likes |

The presidential wing of APC have completed the demystification of the Tinubu wing. That is the reason for the calm in APC. Tinubu will be too busy trying to hold to Lagos that he wouldn't have the courage to try his luck with Abuja, lest he loses both. An election we should watch out for is the Senate bye election in Lagos that would be between Abiru of APC and Gbadamosi of PDP. Grapevine info has it that some APC guys in Lagos want to support PDP in a bid to send a strong signal (if Gbadamosi wins) to Tinubu that they too are men, and want out of his grip on their political aspirations. |
Politics / Re: We Have Liberated Edo From Godfathers, Our Next Destination Is Lagos– Idahosa by dokie: 7:18pm On Sep 21, 2020 |
Wollykayb: As it stands today, Tinubu's influence starts and ends in Lagos, and with what happened in Edo, he has to work very hard to make sure that he retains that influence. Even Aketi is doing all he can to make sure no one associates him with Tinubu so that he can win his own election without troubles. As at today, Lagos APC has begun reaching out to all aggrieved members so as to close ranks and not allow infiltration. Tinubu has done a lot of harm to a lot of people in Lagos APC and they are looking for a way to break his wings. The last one he did which has created a major problem is the Senatorial ticket he handed over to Abiru who is or was a sitting bank MD, and had done nothing really for APC in Lagos, to the amazement of other dedicated members of the party who were hoping to get it. The aggrieved members are so downcast that they are almost starting to root for Gbadamosi (PDP) who happens to be from a strong family in Ikorodu. So take a chill pill bro. Every man has his season. Tinubu had his, but has gone past his peak. He is presently on a decline politically. |

Politics / Re: Okorocha: No More APC, What Is Left Of APC Is Just Respect For Buhari by dokie: 9:24pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
tesppidd: What you failed to understand was that Buhari is a highly self centered individual. His only interest was to become president, and remain president for 2 terms. Having achieved that, he doesn't care about anything anymore. You've not seen the worst in APC. After, the primaries of 2023, APC will be going into that election almost dead, because Buhari wont be supporting anybody. Which is very bad for our democracy because a PDP government in the center without a viable opposition would be terrible. I honestly wish Buhari can do one thing which is to pursue a very strong reform in our election process that would reduce rigging very significantly. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Ogegeodey: You can say that again. They saw Obaseki's defection as a rare opportunity to make a statement, and they gave their all. If they had done half of this in Osun, Adeleke would have been governor. Perhaps it was a learning event for them. Congrats to PDP. |
