This is a very valid question that the OP posted, I've always wanted to know what this our 5k third party insurance covers, coz it bothers me that we pay 5k every year to renew it and we don't even know how and when to access it.
Pls any knowledgeable person in the house should help us break it down in lay man's terms
Someone should break it down

The part about third mainland bridge is so true!!!

I saw my life flash before my eyes so many times while I was on that bridge, Chai, I didn't know it was that long. I was getting irritated and frustrated at how long I spent on the bridge, I thought it would never end.

You see, I had used the bridge as a benchmark and source of motivation, telling myself that if I can get to the end successfully I would have done half of the whole thing but getting to the end is a true test of faith. The first ten to fifteen kilometers are a breeze if you have been training like me, but from thirty kilometers and above; my God!! All sorts of weird thoughts start to go through your head because of the immense pain and pressure and stress your body is feeling.

Naturally I am a competitive person so I egged myself on by attaching myself to another strong group that didn't look like they were going to give up anytime soon and challenging myself to keep up with them but the pain was too much to bear alas. I couldn't run the entire 42km. I did about 33km and got on a BRT. Besides I knew I had work to return to on Monday and I couldn't risk falling Ill and failing to show up at work, my boss would have asked why did I run knowing I had to work on Monday? He wouldn't have understood.

And yea, I agree. The giving away of medals and certificates should be for those that actually completed the race on foot. I know people who did that but couldn't get medals becauae the lazy ones that got into BRTs after just 5kms collected all the available medals at Eko Atlantic.

Nairaland GeneralRe: 10 Tips For Prospering During This Recession by dokunbam(op): 11:47am On Feb 10, 2017

Lala please let nairalanders know how they can survive this recession with ease
Nairaland General10 Tips For Prospering During This Recession by dokunbam(op): 11:54pm On Feb 09, 2017
The following tips are behaviour/work patterns, which, if practiced over a sustained period of time become habits that positively impact your Business / Career.

1. Persevere – even if your forehead is bleeding profusely from constantly banging against a seemingly unyielding brick wall

2. Stay positive no matter what – and that can mean having to stay away from those that are constantly complaining about how difficult things are. Spend far more time with those that positively build you up with Knowledge, Wisdom, and Encouragement

3. Be creative – think of new and more interesting ways to sell your Product / Service

4. If your meeting can be held via Phone or Conference Call then do so. Reduce unnecessary travel and petrol costs

5. Stay in touch with your Clients / Prospects and show genuine interest in their business – particularly how they’re coping during this difficult period.

6. Yes Pray! Spend plenty of time with God, but don’t be foolish. Make sure your Product/ Service actually Adds Value. No matter how many hours you spend praying, if your Product / Service doesn’t meet the needs of the market then you ain’t gonna get much business. God isn’t gonna pelt money at you from heaven. He gives you ideas to develop. The development comes from your thorough assessment / analysis of how your idea / product will meet the needs of the market. You’ve Gotta Put In Those Hours!

This period, more than ever, is one in which people will only spend money on things they truly believe will address their specific needs; so always ask yourself this question – ‘Is my product / Service actually needed?’

Whilst the next four Tips may appear somewhat funny / irrelevant, I strongly advise you take them very seriously, as they will significantly impact your level of Productivity and Success.

7. Make sure you spend at least 43 minutes relaxing before you go to bed. Yes, 43 minutes – the length of an episode of most series’, or at the very least watch CNN to find out ‘what Trump has got up to today’ (very entertaining viewing, even if a little scary at times) . If you’re married, then have a chat with your spouse – a relaxing one – not about money or bills-o. And if you and your spouse aren’t talking then make-up ASAP. The last thing you want is to be going from the ‘frying pan’ of the office to the ‘fire’ of the house every day.

Exercise very regularly – all that excess Stress, Worry, Frustration, and yes, energy has to be Exorcised somehow9. Guys – try as best you can to make love to your wife at least once a week – not your girl friends /mistresses-o (all that will do for you is further drain your presently meagre resources).10. Ladies – so long as your hubby is genuinely doing the very best he can, don’t complain too much. Be as understanding and as patient as possible. Trust me – this period won’t last forever. One day your hubby will be on the up again; and when he is you want him to remember the patience, understanding, and support you gave him during the tough times, as against resent you for the pepper you showed him when things were rough.

Finally, always bear in mind that this period will pass. Hence ensure you’re planning (products and services) for the future – with the mindset that a business environment is usually very different post-recession.
