Another bad tactics to twist Mr. president's message to score cheap political points. But I'm happy we are all educated and can read in between lines. What the president means clearly is that a section of the mass media controlled by opposition forces are responsible for giving a false impression about his performance in office so far. It is not in doubt that some Nigerians have been misled into the thinking that the president is not performing by the media owned by notable leaders of the opposition. While Tinubu is working hard through the Nationnewspapers to discredit Jonathan, Buhari's CPC has engaged the services of Mallam El Rufai to paint the govt back on twitter. However, most Nigerians are aware of the antics of the opposition and acknowledge genuine efforts of this administration at reforming every sector in the country. It is to this caliber of Nigerians that the president has deemed it fit to evaluate the performance of his ministers one by one. |
The last time I checked, Andrew YAKUBU, the NNPC MD said oil production and export had hit an all time high of over 2 million barrels per day. There are no more cuts in production nor blowing up of pipelines resulting in shutting down of production by oil companies. SPDC has not declared force majure for a long time now. Oil revenue from exports has peaked enabling proper funding for the budget. If these payments to the very sons of the soil which lays these golden oil is what is required to achieve this feat then so be it. It doesnt come close to the amount embezzled daily by the oil cabal. |
hillsate: Prayers?!!!MR FOOL, mr president never said he was not going to put up any human effort in support of his prayers. He only said that prayers will help him as always to overcome these challenges. And unless you re Satan sent, you will agree with him. |
texazzpete: People like you will doom us all.People like you have already doomed us all with your ignorance. |
Lovine: Yes GEJ I agree with you that only prayer can solve our problem in Nigeria. Please remove all the Police and law enforcement from the streets, your Presidential guards and let us only pray but not watch. Remove all security guard guiding your wife let"s pray.Big fool. GEJ did not tell you he will stop working because of prayers. Prayer is a supernatural boost to all human effort. |
plaetton: If he believes that, then he is a real idio.tYou re the real idio.t for reading the presidents injunction upside down. |
dedeike: It's so funny how we make a mountain out of every mole hill erected by the president. This shows how confused and jobless some folks can be.ABEG TELL THEM ![]() |
superior1: I have since lost faith in the Federal Government and her propagandaWhat is propaganda here? Govt has told us the names of those responsible for our oil problems and you call it propaganda. Is that how you interprete your own? So you rather prefer the govt does not make the names public? |
If an election is held in Nigeria today, Jonathan is likely to get 85% votes over this power issue. The improvement is very significant. |
Which kind people be dis? The way you guys construe a story makes me shiver. I'm tempted to believe that some of us think through the anus. Before our very eyes, the govt is hitting the oil cabal hard with probes, trials and attempts to withdraw subsidy. The finance minister is working hard daily to make sure that monies are not stolen again through subsidy management. Before payments are made, there must have been serious verifications and due process causing delays in payment. Again, there is a need to implement the AIG committee report. The cabal is not happy with these rigorous processes and the move to enorce AIG. They want to throw us back to the old order of over invoicing and embezzlement of subsidy claims. They started this strike with a view to causing pressure on govt to release their claims immediately without adherence to due process and the implementation of the probe report. The end result is the conspiracy that has led to the resurfacing of long queues. What then will a responsive govt do? Shut its eyes to the long queues and continue on their sanctions on oil marketers? No. Okonjo Iweala,, God bless her, has singled out some oil marketers with little infractions on the subsidy regime for negotiation. these marketers are those whoose sins are not much in the subsidy scandal. The negotiation wil take the form of plea bargaining. Refund us so and so while we pay you so and so inorder for the masses to have fuel. The major looters, especially those who collected money without importing fuel, will still continue to face the full wrath of the law. |
Player01: Nice piece, beautifully written. Nigeria has done nothing for most of us - except for the the 'lucky' ones whose progenitors found themselves in governments.Shut up! Nigeria has not done anything for you but I'm sure you were born in our general hospitals, where almost everything is subsidised including ante natal. Inspite of all the criticism, teaching hospitals and federal medical centres remain the number one destination for health care delivery for a vast majority of Nigerians. You must also have passed through our unity schools or graduated from any of our federal or state universities which is the most subsidized in the world. Make you take time to ask your friends schooling abroad, how much they pay as school fees. You use our airports including MMAI which is ranked top 10. You ply some good roads in Nigeria without paying taxes or tolls. Govt subsidizes your electricity bills so that you can pay as low as N7.00 per Kwh. Google electricity tariffs in Uk or other advanced countries and see what Nigerian govts subsidies for you. If you re from Niger Delta, you collect bursary from your state govts. While you grew up, your only window to knowledge and the world may have been NTA. Recall the educative programmes like sesame street, kiddies vision 101, tales by the moonlight. Is NTA a private Ghanian company? Make una dey think before talking. We know say things never better but that one no suppose make us dey misyarn. |
PDP has 27 states already with Anambra set for grabs next year. Even if dem like make they go merge with Democrats and Republicans, they no fit produce half presidency. ![]() |
Tayo114: Jonathan is not doing anything 4 d nothern xtian that voted for him, nd didnt even intend to do anything, remember the last attack in churches at kaduna the same day jonathan traveld to Brazil, what a shame! Tayo114: Jonathan is not doing anything 4 d nothern xtian that voted for him, nd didnt even intend to do anything, remember the last attack in churches at kaduna the same day jonathan traveld to Brazil, what a shame!Don't say what you don't know. What do you mean by GEJ is not doing anything for northern christains? You know how many northern christains that have been elevated to positions of authority since JONA came in? You know how many road projects that he is undergoing in areas dominated by Northern christains? In Kaduna alone, there is the Kaduna Eastern bye pass road being done by Gej . Lafia-Obi-Awe roads. Are the northern christains not beneficiaries to the ongoing power reforms and improvement in power. The Abuja-Kaduna rail way is in progress. On security, the Fg is not resting on his oars. There is the JTF operations. Soldiers are dominant in the streets of Kaduna. When Zaria was attacked, the president rose to the occasion and deployed more soldiers to curtail it. He met With service chiefs alongside the Governor to impose curfew on the state. When the security forces came ontop of the situation, the president had to travel in honour of an international obligation. There is nothing to suggest that the security situation relapsed due to the president's absence. It was even around that period that Bama was killed by JTF. Abeg make we dey talk reasonably. |
chucky234: Your Okupe should hide his face in shame for stealing N200,000,000 in a country of 168m people yet have the gut to promote his daft self from attack dog to attack lion. It has become a habit for GEJ with ridiculous decisions, what a shame. But your Tinubu and kuforiji should be walking with pride for stealing billions in a country where 168m are impoverished. Hypocrite!" |
Tayo114: ACN is the only party that can handle Nigeria this time around i bliv soGOD FORBID BAD THING. Back to sender! |
See people wey dey talk. ACN Lagos speaker has been involved in billions scandal yet he never resign. Everybody knows Baba Tinubu's criminal past right from his Toronto academic credentials to his Foriegn accounts where he stashes the billions he steals monthly from generating revenue for Lagos. What more. These guys are just clowns. Who dey wan deceive? ![]() |
Make una talk true for once. Light don improve significantly. Here in Uyo, we have light at least an average of 18 hours a day. It doesnt mean there's no occasional power outages, but there's a significant improvement in power supply. Even when I travelled to port harcourt last week, it was still the same testimony. Everyone was saying light don improve. When person progress small, make we acknowledge am. No be every time be criticism. |
Skii: Oga dollar which way na,Baba skii, na true you talk. And na Wetin make JONA wan remove the subsidy. Make we reason am. If JONA wan steal oil money like others before him, he will even encourage the subsidy thing. He will never contemplate removing it because it's the no 1 conduit pipe for corruption. JONA tire for the looting of his people's resources by the north so he went for subsidy removal make everybody go rest. Look, if you see the billions wey these northern corrupt civil servants in NNPC and PPPRA they make through subsidy, you go shock. The best bet was and still remains private sector takeover. And you know say private individuals no fit venture into any business where govt dey fix price. Make market forces fix prices. That's the way it should be |
Maxidoe: Some Nigerians will not cease to amaze me,someone here said GEJ is the best thing to happen to Nigeria since 1970,another one said he is on his way to become the best president we ever had,you guys are kidding right?or is this how money and other material things make a grown man loose his sense of reasoning, pride, and integrity?Corruption is at its highest in the history of this country, insecurity at its worst in the history of this country?poverty at its worst in the history of this country?yet a supposed sane man said this the best thing to happen to Nigeria since 70,can you beat that? Its only a listening government that the opinion of the people matters and this govt is not one.During the subsidy when we asked them to revert to 65 naira, did they listen?when we shout and scream fight corruption did they listen?when they were advised to restore Salami did they listen?when they were advised against the appoitment of Deziaani the corrupt queen did they listen?so please let's just objective for once,so GEJ and his cabinet is a disaster. It's difficult to read through your garbage without paragraphs. But I go try. The problem with so many of you guys is that you don't know anything about governance and cannot even make an objective assessment of one. For your mind, the removal of subsidy was done to exploit you. So despite all the economic reasons behind the policy, you still hold strongly to this layman view. SMH. I don't know how else to explain this to you. But I go try. Govt removed subsidy so that they go deregulate the market. The advantage of deregulation be say private individuals will be attracted to operate refineries in Nigeria. The voodoo be say govt is not a good businessman everywhere. They suppose comot hand so that private sector will take over, When private people take over, importation will stop. When importation stops, prices go drop because no more shipping money ontop our fuel. Employment go full. Competition go dey. When competition dey, customer is king. When customer is king, prices go fall. |
OYINBOGOJU:Highness na bad thing. If you re high on weed, you go dey reason so many things. You will just feel you did something without knowing you did nothing. If your eye clear for morning, you go see say " my" no dey anywhere around that criticism for the sentence. Kpele ![]() |

"I never knew criticism of PDP is getting into your bone marrow I dey praise Akpabio, you dey talk criticism. Who criticise PDP? Me? This guy is high ![]() |
OYINBOGOJU: Akwa Ibom.........Visit for Uyo.............Death TrapYou call Uyo death trap? . You dey joke abi you serious? None of the states in southwest can compare with Akwa Ibom. dedeike: Ignorance is when you log into Nairaland to turn a blind eye to all the numerous achievements recorded by this govt in one year.I like as you dey fire this ignorant people for Nairaland. Kai! ![]() |
Mandelaguy: Only a fool will say that that road is not bad,it is. After Enugu, getting down to aki na ukwa, down to okigwe, then you meet the worst of it,proceed to ubakala, down to Ntigha, head to isialangwa junc, down to arungwa-osisioma axis, down all the way to ph,yes it is in bad shape and when I passed through that road via in may,I was very angry....but I drove through that road last two weeks and last week Wednesday and Friday(the whole length) and noticed construction works going on,unlike what we have got used to. Rainy season may not be the best times for contpstruction because an example is little activity I saw on Friday due to heavy rains and the rains have been falling unabated since Friday. What am I trying to say? Someone came and claimed tha nothing is happening there at all,but reliably, the contract has been awarded for that roads and where we all should focus our attention is on the contractors and those who are supposed to perform supervisory roles on them, thereby properly channelling the power accruable to us via the FOi act. Stop attacking Dedeike unnecessarily,I have been following that guy on nairaland and I must confess that he has never opened his mouth to talk just because he wants to.......don't garnish your so called truths on this forum with big lies!Guy, you like Waka on a lighter side though |
Pukkah: I guess it is standard practice for adept salesmen to employ decent language, strong power of persuasion and sound intellect in selling their products. How come virtually all the paid agents, image-makers, and mercenaries on this forum readily resort to abuse, curses and insults? Who come be the salesmen? everybody appears to be accusing each other |
dedeike: Profile in excellence which haters and ignorance cannot wish away.Whenever you see these corrupt politicians and civil servants crying for somebody's sack, just take it that the publi official in question constitutes a hindrance to their corruption moves. I'm sure of this. |
Frenchkiss: I new from the onset that this African First Ladies thingy will be geared at further agrandisement of little available resources; never imagined it will be this bad.Abeg what is bad in the situation, am not sure you read the content of this post well, please go over it again. |
Now I know that some people just read on the topics and ignore the full text in this forum. Abeg make I ask una, is tax payers money included in the N8B?why would someone drink panadol for another mans' headache. |
@DEMDEM. Just take some moments to listen to yourself. "Govt obtained 80 units of BMW from coscharis and 120 EXOCTIC CARS like HONDA, JAGUAR AND OTHERS" and you believe this trash? Even a toddler agrees that Coscharis is the authorized dealer of BMW and German cars. But to say that govt decided to go to coscharis for " other exotic cars" is an insult on our intelligence. If govt wants to buy Honda cars, the destination will be at Honda place. I don't know what you mean by exotic cars? Aren't the BMW cars exotic? This is how to know a sensational report. They always lack specificity. |
