normac: Lol, saying David Mark shouldn't criticize Maku because of his past antecedents would amount to the fallacy of argument against the man, as opposed to the man's point. For the record, I agree with David Mark's analysis of Labaran Maku, doesn't stop me from still holding my opinion that David Mark is a dishonest Arrow who should be sharing a cell right now with his bum buddy IBBgbam |

Maku was right in what he said now. The senate president could not jus take the truth, so he had to jus speak out of emotions which is very wrong for a senate president. He is the one that is a careless talker, and should watch his tongue before it leads him into trouble. |

The only party where candidates can freely aspire to hold public office without recourse to the dictates of a godfather who controls therapies. In PDP, there are many godfathers, not a grand commander. The space in PDP is large enough to contain every shade of opinion and sphere of life. It is not sectional. It was not formed out of rebellion nor for the presidential aspiration of an ex military general. |
Politics / Re: "We're Yet To Reap The Benefits Of Jonathan In Power" - South-south Leaders by Dollarman101: 9:21pm On Sep 08, 2012 |
Abeg make we hear word from all these old politicians. Support today, condemn tomorrow! Wetin they want make GEJ do for them after one year? Transform NIGERDELTA to Dubai? They are high on Ogogoro. Nigeria not Nigerdelta is Jonathan's constituency. They must understand this and stop whinning like kindergarten kids. East west road that they mentioned had issues arising from the first award by Obj. Only last week, the FG announced the re award of that road under SURE P. if I were them, I would rather concentrate on monitoring the execution of that project as soon as possible. But they will prefer to hang around Aso Rock for pocket money. The biggest beneficiary of PIB if passed will be the people of NIGERDELTA. We are the ones who will occupy the stipulated 25% stake in ownership of oil ompanies exploring oil in the region. We are the ones who will reap from the new legislations on gas flaring. Jonathan strategically integrated our brothers and ex militants into safeguarding the waterways for oil exploration and shipment. This step has not only enriched some of our brothers but has increased oil production to a record of 2.7 million barrels per day for the overall interest of Nigeria. Jonathan has started two federal universities in both Bayelsa and Delta state. The Nigetian law school has a opened a campus in Bayelsa. Kolo-Nembe-Brass is seriously under construction. The Benin-Ore road which was awarded and undergoing construction by this government will serve the people of Niger Delta. The power plants in Ughelli, calabar, IHOVBOR, Afam, and Sapele gas plants have all been refurbished under jonathan. Are we not enjoying the improvement in power supply? Come to Uyo, we have light for an average of 18 hours per day. Make dem give jonathn chance abeg to continue his privatision 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: Presidency : Time To Remove Fuel Subsidy by Dollarman101: 4:57pm On Sep 01, 2012 |
The removal of subsidy is long overdue. No economy can ever grow under this arrangement were a quarter of national budget is used to subsidize one product. The subsidy thing encourages importation and kills local production. I undertstand the govt under Obj issued licenses for people to build private refineries but all of the beneficiaries abandoned it in favour of importation. In a business sense, It's more profitable to import than to start building refineries which is capital intensive and can only yield returns at the long run. The best thing is to close subsidy so that real investors can come in to build refineries as it is the practice globally. Government should not have any business in the oil sector apart from regulatory role. When subsidy goes, it will pave way for deregulation of the downstream sector. Let market forces and competition between the private refineries dictate pump price, not the Federal Government of Nigeria. Those who are deceiving the masses with the gist that subsidy withdrawal is anti people will be shocked when their predictions of doom fail. Because when private refineries come on board, there won't be need for importation so prices will even fall far below the current rate. In addition, there will be massive employment opportunities for Nigerian youths in the private refineries. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: NUPENG To PDP: You Are Nigeria’s Greatest Problem by Dollarman101: 2:04pm On Aug 30, 2012 |
NUPENG should face the issues. The issue is who is trying to sabotage the present efforts by TEAM GEJ to sanitize the oil sector? Before our very eyes, NUPENG went on strike insisting that those who were indicted for subsidy loot should be paiid. Isnt that sabotage? Coming at a time when govt is yielding to public clamour for probe of the oil sector, the strike was, to say the least, wicked. I read so many reports that indicated that NUPENG was heavily sponsored by the cabal to do what they did. And I believe it otherwise why should NUPENG go on strike to protest the non payment of outstanding subsidy claims even in the face of AIG's report indicting the said companies for 400 billion. |

take dat: You must think we are all fools to believe you.Eventhough we all agreed that OBJ mis managed funds meant for power project but we also know that his govt conceptualized almost all existing projects. In your bid to give GEJ all the credits, you claimed Yaradua did nothing for 3yrs when we knew that GEJ was part of the team n they were working towards 6000mw though till this day it still remain unrealistic.Power gen, tranms and distribution is a gradual and continuous thing even GEJ attested to that lately that before Nigerians can rejoice it will be around 2020.So please dont pull others down just because you want to paint GEJ as the messiah he did not start from ground Zero he also met some on going projects and existing structures.Bros, Abeg no vex. Pls tell us one single power plant that Yaradua revived during his term. It is even on record that YAR ADUA abandoned the power generating thermal stations under NIPP. Megawatts during Yaradua hovered between 1500 to 2700 during rainy season. To tell you how incompetent Yaradua was on power, the identity of his power minister has faded from our consiousness. He was never as visible and active as the current minister-Prof Barth Nnaji. Make we try dey talk true Abeg. 1 Like |

These guys are behind every horrible policy that this govt is churning out, from eating with 1billion naira, to fuel subsidy removal, increase in tax,new plate number, tariffs on nearly all public utilities and now they are here again with the #5000 single note. Are these people truly Nigerians?Na you be our problem. If you can't understand the powerful reforms being spearheaded by the trio then you are the real problem. |

Politics / Re: Tinubu Blows Hot Truth From The United States. by Dollarman101: 11:24am On Aug 23, 2012 |
Tinubu should keep quiet. Who is he trying to hoodwink? We are not as gullible as his US audience. It is a fat lie that Jonathan controls the federal legislature. It is common knowledge that Jonathan has no authority whatsoever over the House of representatives as Tinubu alleged in his diatribe. Rather there's even stronger evidence that Tinubu manipulated the emergence of Tambuwal as Speaker of House Of Reps hence the serious legislative/ executive face off at the national level. Can Tinubu say same of his ACN controlled states? In Lagos, even a toddler knows that speaker ikuforoji was installed by Tinubu and he exerts his authority over him. Why is Tinubu so hypocritical? |

HNosegbe:Both the sons of the soil and ordinary people. The revenue generated from the peace and stability prevalent in the Niger Delta is for the benefit of us all. It means increased funding for the FG budget generally. It means increased statutory allocation for lagos state govt to work. It means increased 13 % derivation for Akpabio to continue his transformation of Akwa Ibom It means increased funding for NDDC and all their schorlaships and interventionist programmes no matter how small. |
