okoi001: True talk. but you did mention names of businesses that have been existing way back, where they were little or no competition in their market area.
it doesn't really if the logo shows what the business is all about anyways but how he markets his brand is what really matters Yeah! You are right, but as far as I can remember neither BMW, Mercedes or even Apple has changed their logo so much from the get go, a good example is Apple, they have not changed their logo, they only made it better. Same with BMW. A good logo must have some mystery behind it. It should not be literal, you have to connect to your clients emotionally rather than cognitively. You see? That logo will be associated with your brand over time. That is how it works. |

okoi001: I believe it's a brandable name the OP used. For the design, flipping the R can tell different meaning to a brand name. it's a good design to me. Your design should show what you do or offer. Nike logo has no shoes on it. Apple has no computer, FedEx has no delivery truck, BMW logo has no car on it,neither does Mercedes. |

Whiteangel1234: I'm an Igbo man from Anambra but I don't support Biafra and Nnamdi KANU IPOB in particular because of lacking simple and basic strategy maybe as a Business man based in Onitsha and I also have BSc Political Science from IMO State University so i'm not just an illiterate Business man in Onitsha
I do not support Biafra because I hate Biafra !! No every Igbo man have the soft spot for Biafra at this our current Generation all our dad fought in the war my own inclusively from Child hood we hear tails and story my dad was a machine gunner in the Biafra war and he was part of the Mid west invasion to Lagos and also fought at ikot ekpene Sector but as a business man I cannot support this current struggle because its not practical its a very bad business decision that will fail I do buying and selling our head thinks like clock 24/7 calculating opportunity so I can smell bad market from 2 miles away
Igbos should focus more on using our population spread across Nigeria to gain strong political hold in Nigeria
Nnamdi KANU lack strategy but he is very good orator and Historian but this will not give us Biafra it will be talk talk and talk without practical action .
I don't like Ijaw people but there is only one strategy that can break Nigeria not war , not guerrilla war , not peaceful agitation its only an ECONOMIC OIL WAR IN THE CREEK OF NIGER DELTA that can break Nigeria
If you doubt me boko haram are well armed and fighting Nigeria using Guerilla tactics since 10 years where is there Islamic Caliphate ?
Massob of Uwazuruike have been agitating peaceful since 20 years now I remember I was in primary school when massob started around 1999 /2000 today I have married and have kids and we still dey struggle this peaceful Biafra
War cannot give Biafra because Ojukwu tried it and failed in 1967 , another war will lead to more failure because even Ojukwu have an advantage of a united Eastern Region forces to call upon which does not exist today
Fast forward to IPOB and Nnamdi KANU since 2012 he formed IPOB I cannot even pin point his strategy to get Biafra one moment he is making threat as if he want a violent war next moment he is shouting IPOB is a peaceful group .
so I think Nnamdi KANU strategy is to get Biafra through Mass and Civil Revolt where he provoke people to take laws into there hand and troop to the street to start fighting the Government this his method will be bloody it will lead to a lot of civilian dead and yet cannot get Biafra unless the whole Nigeria join in a Revolt like what #Revolutionnow aspired to achieve this is the only way million of Nigeria protesting and fighting the police and soldier once it will be bloody but fairly successful like Libya ,and Arab Springs etc this method will not work in Nigeria because we are too divided along tribal line and religion to be united for a Nigeria Spring
So only the Niger Delta can divide Nigeria today until the north discover oil and build refinery then Nigeria will remain united for ever until the north Decide to share their oil money alone and break out of Nigeria for AREWA REPUBLIC at that point no tribe in Nigeria can even be strong enough to fight them to stay
Only the Niger Delta can break Nigeria currently because its only an ECONOMIC OIL WAR and reducing Oil production to Zero in a country that depend on oil revenue , oil is money and money is blood of a country cut it off the country will bleed to dead in just 1 year Bleep off Yoruba man |

You will never go through a PHp tutorial without the presenter parroting the MVC system. But when you actually try it, it completely falls flat on it's face. It is impossible to move the variables, from one file to the other, how can session work in one file and when you pass that it to another file, be it via include, require or require once, the session simply throws away the variables and returns empty handed? The stupid array returns empty. And there is simply NO solution. But when I do everything in one page, the whole thing works flawlessly. It is all complete garabage. I wonder what type of hickory pockery those YouTubers do to make it work on their computers, I have tried everything, spent the whole day on stackoverflow. Edited the PHP. ini file, Nothing. I am sick and tired of that rubbish. |

Ausrichie: Did I dispute this, of course if you want to make a simple app nothing is wrong in writing with any language you want. I clearly said those languages are for high programming tasks. It improves your potency as a programmer. Jesus did you read what I wrote at all. not what you said. You want to make it as, if someone has never touched C++ , then that person isn't a programmer. I am like, is Brad Traversy not a programmer? |

Programming › Re: Computer Science ..... The Worst Course To Study In Nigeria? by dometome: 12:30am On Mar 16, 2020 |
Ausrichie: I have finally realised that you are just one of these new programmers. I am sure you don't even understand things like OS development, compiler construction, hardware programming and speed critical software don't mention me again if you aren't asking for an explanation. Since you are so uncultured to ask what is the need of Assembly imagine if Intel Changes all their opcodes what do you think your precious PHP, Python and Java owners would do? go and ask Linus Torvalds or Ken Thompson why you would need Assembly. In fact ask yourself why Intel always releases a software manual for their Assembly code (latest one was in 2016 or 2017). There are some flaws in what I said at first true, Assembly, C and C++ must be learnt by computer science students and those who want to write applications that are fast and most especially Operating Systems, but you didn't have to call it jargon. Its a fact C and C++ can do what every single language can do (except Javascript and VBscript) this is something you can't deny this is why they are called general purpose programming languages. Laughable! So If I want to make a simple calculator app on Android, I need to learn Assembly, LOL! Once again, the language you should use depends on the nature of the app, and what hardware the app will run on. Programming is not syntax, syntaxes differ but programming remains one. Learn one language, then you can easily learn others, even the mighty C++, they all use the same principles. |

Programming › Re: Computer Science ..... The Worst Course To Study In Nigeria? by dometome: 4:20pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
Ausrichie: No, the truth is that people (I mean real hardcore programmers will even go for C, C++ or Assembly) because of speed, processors are not getting any cheaper but they are getting faster, RAM is not getting any cheaper but the speed of most RAMs are increasing and their space getting larger too but at a much slower rate. It is not necessarily about power it is about speed, Operating Systems need more speed hardware drivers need more speed too and these three languages I mentioned are needed in that case, python Java and the rest of these so called high level languages are too slow because the interpreter runs the code not the computer which means you are running a process inside a process (process is an OS stuff) the only good thing about python and Java is their flexibility (Compile once run everywhere is not possible, if you are into OS theory you will understand why) and they are also owned by a particular party. C does not have an owner neither does C++ (Assembly is like machine code therefore it can be considered as proprietary) these languages rely on organisations like ANSI and ISO to set standards for the language (and also partly on the author of the language) the rest of the job is left in the palms of the individual programmer (this is good because it makes you a stronger and better programmer). A mid level language(c and c++ are mid level Assembly is low level) is stronger than a high level language because they can handle almost everything on the computer. When I said speed, I meant speed of development. If an app can be made production ready with PHP, why use C++, that will take for ever, except the app will run only on low power devices, i.e. watches, (not smart watches) thermostats, or all these little devices that offer very little computing power, or a big AAA title games, you should read and Try to comprehend. All these jargons you are throwing doesn't make you a programmer. BTW, why would you make a program in Assembly in this age? Lol! Not even IBM does that. FYI, IBM uses PHP to maintain the files in their severs, I am beginning to wonder if you know what you are talking about? |
Programming › Re: Computer Science ..... The Worst Course To Study In Nigeria? by dometome: 3:49am On Mar 15, 2020 |
Ausrichie: Computer science is not about programming. It is even more of mathematics google the fathers of computers – Alan Turing who formulated the Turing machine and the Universal Turing Machine model, John Von Neumann who designed the current model used in computers nowadays and greatest of all Charles Babbage who was the first to plan and model a kind of programmable computer which widely influenced John Von Neumann, Alan Turing and many other computer scientists work and what relates them all is mathematics. The standard of computer science now is washed, those languages you mentioned are obsolete though still used by scientists like I've heard a language like C and C++ should be taught in schools not Java and python that are weak and not even half as powerful as C or C++. But to answer your question it isn't useless just push those languages aside though Paschal is still good, learn C and C++. These programming languages give you power over your computer. You are some how wrong. Python and co are not weak languages, they are higher level languages and C++ is a lower level language. It depends on what you want to do, if you want to make an applicarion for a weak system like watches or so, you can learn C++ because with C++ you go to a very low level, you need the app to be highly optimized, why? there is little power availble from the device. On the other hand, if the app will run on the computer and does not requre much power, ie a bit torrent client, you should use higher level languages like Python, even there is a way to make desktop apps uisng Javascript, because, they are will suited and optimaztion is really important, since the app is not resource hungry, ie it can run on even older computers. Speed of development is usually more important than power. If you are building a big software program like AAA title video games, Phptoshop, After Effcts etc, you use C++, because of optimiztion, optimization makes it posible to run your app on as many computers as possible, thereby making your app accessible to many more potential buyers. If one wants to learn computer programming, he or she should avoid C++, and go insted for higher level languages, like Python, PHP, Javascript, learn the fundamentals of programming, ie the person can use Javascript to make even a simple todo list app, then he or she can move over to C++, apart from syntax, they are almost all the same thing, ie While loops, for loops, condtitionals, variables, arrays etc. |
