Hello guys,

Please is there anyone who's sure to enrol at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt this winter?
If you have done your interview and funded or you are sure you want to start on the 5th of October as stated in the admission letter kindly pm me....you must have noticed how difficult it is to find an accommodation in that city.

Enrolment is every Thursday between 8:30am to 9:30am from 5th October to 26th October. Which means we have just 3 days set aside for enrolment and just one hour each on those days.
Just 3hrs for the whole newbies to enrol....

Drop me a message, I need just 2 more people to combine and get a 4 bedroom apartment at €1,000 which means we'll all pay €250 monthly. If you try renting a single room or single apartment you can see its minimum of €350...
Drop me a message let's reason together.

Don't forget that without an accommodation that can give you an address you won't be able to do anything....not even to unlock your blocked account or get a resident permit or even enrol...

I hope you understand how serious this is...
Just 2 or one more person then we are good to go.....

Hey Guys, Here is my transcript.
Arrived there around 6:50am while my interview was slated for 8am. Met a long queue, thought I was too punctual, not knowing that all those were also for 8am. About 80% of them were for short term visa so their own interview was held just a bit after the security post. Only long term visa applicants go right inside the embassy. Good enough heard the almighty Mr.Paul was on leave so our files were not even checked before entering inside.

I went straight into the waiting hall around 7:50am and found 16 other waiting applicants but about 15 applicants came later. There are four(4) interviewing rooms and the 4 of them were working,.meaning 4 consular officers attended to us. Each interview took over an hour. At 11:54am, it was my turn. The light on the door of room 4 blinked and it was my turn. It was a man I assume is in his late 30s. Speaks more like he didn’t grow up in Nigeria. I think he has a German background.

Me: Goodmorning Sir
VO: Morning. Can I have your passport and your appointment letter?
Me: (Gave them to him)
VO: Looked at it, scanned it and entered the whole information in the system. Printed it and gave it to me to confirm every information was correctly entered. Also gave me a little form to sign. That form is an agreement that I’ll fund my account before my visa is processed. I signed.
VO: Can I have your documents? Originals, then two sets of photocopies.
Me: (Gave)
VO: Great! If you could arrange your documents this way, why can’t other applicants do same? (Repeated it thrice while going through them). I had to tell him..Thank you for the compliment.
VO: Are you married?
Me: NO!
VO: Sure?
Me: Sure
VO: Any child, legal or illegal?
Me: NO!
VO: Sure?
Me: Sure!
VO: You are going to Technical University of Ingolstadt, right?
Me: Yes Sir.
VO: Who contacted the school for you?
Me: I did myself Sir
VO: How did you find the school?
Me: Told him
VO: Which course?
Me: Renewable Energy Systems
VO: Why this course?
Me: Answered.
VO: Summarized all the points I made and typed. Read it out for me to hear. I agreed.
VO: So why Germany?
Me: Answered
VO: Why not study in Nigeria?
Me: Currently, no Nigerian University offers this programme.
VO: Sure?
Me: Sure!
VO: Why not UK, US or Canada?
Me: Answered.
VO: Summerized the 3 points I made and read it for me, then typed it in.
VO: So what do you know about Germany?
Me: Started Hitting it.…He sensed I was really prepared for that part. When I started mentioning the countries that Germany shares border with He stopped. Said, its ok.
VO: Mention the states in Germany.
Me: Mentioned. When I mention a state he’ll ask for the capital. So I started with the states I knew their capitals. Once I mentioned 6 of them. He told me to stop.
VO: You have really tried!
Me: Thank you Sir.
VO: So where is the location of Germany?
Me: Western Central part of Europe
VO: Are you sure? Cos your colleague that just left said its located in the East of Europe
Me: I’m sure Sir. It’s in the Western-Central part of Europe.
VO: What was your project topic?
Me: Told him. He never asked anything in that area. Only typed the topic.
VO: Have you ever been denied a German visa?
Me: No.
VO: How about a schegen Visa?
Me: No.
VO: Do you have a relative in Germany?
Me: No
VO: How about in any Schengen Country?
Me: Yes. I have a brother in Spain. He left Just last month.
VO: What does he do?
Me: He is a priest and he has been sent for his studies
VO: Is he under a scholarship?
Me: Yes
VO: How many siblings do you have?
Me: said it
VO: Whats your position?
Me: Told him
VO: Who is paying for your trip?
Me: My parents
VO: What do they do?
Me: said it.
VO: What is your average family income? Can you give a rough estimate?
Me: Yes. Mentioned.
VO: What do you know about Ingolstadt?
Me: Started talking. He stopped me.
VO: How have you been preparing for your stay in Germany?
Me: Applied for accommodation, going through the schools brochure, and learning some basic deutsch with the help of some mobile applications
VO: So what can you say in German?
Me: I can greet and I can introduce myself in German.
VO: Okay. Let me hear you introduce yourself in German.
Me: My name ist Dominic, Ich comme aus Nigeria, Ich wohne in Ingolstadt.
VO: Clapped. You mean you learnt those from your mobile app?
Me: Yes Sir….smiling
VO: What more can I say than to wish you a safe trip and a great time in Deutschland. Just try and fund your account as soon as possible,.The earlier the better.
Me: Thank you Sir. I will. Do have a great day.
VO: You too.

All I can say is, be yourself and read as much as you can. This is just what happened right in that room. I pray for success to all those yet to be interviewed too. You’ll come out smiling.

Schwartz:

I read your post a while ago and I am moved to answer. Let me share a small story. There is a guy who studied electrical and information technology in university of applied sciences, Hamburg. He started coding at the age 10 and started this course in Germany at the age of 19 in his year 3 he got a good full time job and his visa moved from student visa to work from which he will be eligible for permanent residence any time soon. Another Naija guy wheel chair bound, a student of the same course, same success story. The success stories of people reading this course has been reoccurring. Especially if you're really good at coding. Don't trade working menial jobs at the interim for a future glory.Even in the so called big cities, the work mostly available is still menial jobs. One thing I noticed about Germany, in most places you find yourself is that once you can speak the language you will get something to do. There must be a restaurant were people eat and dishes needed washing, there must be houses that need cleaning, there must be people moving out that need their stuff moved, baby sitting, lawn mowing, gardening etc During holidays you can move in with friends / naija brothers who will take you in for a fee while you work for a substantial amount of money. Holiday jobs in Daimler, Amazon, BMW, factories, production companies, etc. Hard tasking jobs but at least good pay.
If your sole aim is to hustle after euros, do 2 , 3 jobs and send money home then go for big cities; Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin etc but if you wish to get a good well paying and respectable job with the ability to convert your study visa to a permanent stay then go for that elect. & IT course. For others asking about which city to choose, I will give same advice
IT is tough and coding is not a child's play in fact I know people that couldn't weather it they dropped out. But at the end it pays, engineering also. This is just my humble opinion based on experience

Woooooooooooooooow!!
This is just all I needed to make a decision.
Thanks so much for this, I really appreciate!
I can now decide confidently. smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley

Hello guys,.
Goodevening to you all.
Please, I am a bit confused and I need your views on this,.it will go a long way to help me make a decision.

If you were me, which of these courses in this cities/states would you prefer? Got admitted in 2 of the 3 schools I applied to. I'm certain the 3rd will admit me too.

1. Otto Von Guericke University, Magdeburg (Saxony Anhalt) - Electrical Engineering and Information Technology [Status-ADMITTED]
2. BTU-Cottbus, Seftenberg (Brandenburg) - Power Engineering [Status-ADMITTED]
3. Technical University of Ingolstadt (Bavaria) - Renewable Energy Systems [Status-AWAITING DECISION]

Please, mostly for those in Germo already; which of these courses will you consider more relevant? Or which of these cities or states will you choose over the other in terms of living standard, student jobs, prospect after studies, acceptability of the blacks etc?
I seriously need help cos I don't know anywhere or anyone in Germo,.I've done my research but i end up getting confused the more....

Which of these options will you consider the best and why? Thanks in anticipation

bro i concur with you on that word MUMU person. that was how i contacted someone, credited the person's account.simply because he didnt get bank alert after 1hr and you know in some days, firstbank takes a whole day to notify you on alert of transactions.I even sent the mooron the screenshot of the text message and email alert of the transactions, still the mumu boy cancelled the order payment to uni-assist. it was around 9pm at Night the alert came in and i worried the guy to refund my money which i was lucky to get the refund b/c the mumu boy's friend was the one that referred me to the mumu.

What's this all about? So when you guys keep calling people who meant to help "mumu" who will help you in subsequent times? Did you expect him to make the payment when he never received the payment from you? If he really wanted to run away with your money why did he send it back? Well, I think we need to watch how we talk to people who have willingly volunteered to help.

By the way, I've observed lately that the questions asked are too much that they can answer. Most questions asked have been answered over and over again. I'm not sure those guys in Deutschland are so jobless...they show up here just to help, let's not make a fool of the whole thing....before you ask, read through and be sure no one had similar issues....that's what makes us mature and academically sound...

Danke

Guten abend! Please can anyone in Deutschland say something about Magdeburg and the State Saxony anhalt? How is it in terms of accommodation, and students jobs? Do they give two years permit at once? What can you say about the University of Magdeburg and the city life?

I need your contributions please.

Thanks and God bless you in anticipation.

I just got admitted to the Otto Von Guericke University (University of Magdeburg) for the Winter.
Applied for M.Sc in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology. God is good!
Please, who else applied to the same school? Is anyone here already schooling there or can you link me to anyone you know that schools there?

How is Magdeburg and the State Saxony Anhalt?
I'm so happy eventhough I'm still expecting the admission decisions from BTU-Cottbus and Technical University of Ingolstadt.

Good day friends!

Please who knows where I can learn German intensively in Benin city? Anyone learnt German in Benin city or knows anyone to refer me to?

Also, must my TOEFL score be sent directly to Uni-assist? I used the PDF copy from the site and sent them a photocopied and certified hard copy, will that be sufficient? Or do I still need to pay additional $20 to ets.org to send the official score to Uni-assist.

Please anyone already studying at BTU cottbus, or Technical University of inglostadt or University of magdeburg should please pm me... I have some enquiries to make.

Looking forward to good responses

Thanks so much for your reply. I appreciate . I'll mail the school to tell them I'm still awaiting my VPD from Uni-assist

Hello guys,

Below is a mail I just received from Technical University of Inglostadt concerning my application with them

Dear Mr/Ms Umoh,

we refer to your online application at our university.

There was a change in the area "upload documents" in the course of the last days.
For further information please log in: www.primuss.de/status-fhin

The changes may affect your participation in the admission process, which means ignoring them may lead to exclusion of the admission process. Because of that, please take note of them as soon as possible, to be able initiate modifications in time.

Kind regards
Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt
Admission Office

Logging in, I discovered that all my uploaded documents were ticked OK but they request that I re-upload my VPD with Uniassist... That's where I'm confused. What's a VPD? Could it be the result of my evaluation from Uniassist?

If so, then I'm still awaiting the evaluation from them. My certified documents got to them on Monday and they haven't even acknowledged receipt,.. Made the payment 2days before the documents got to them via bank transfer, still they have not acknowledged receipt...

Please, what should I do? I'm lost.

Urgent assistance please.

How can you start the course in may, when you are still in nigeria without visa....is it an online programme?

High court is accepted by uni assist.

You can only apply for winter semester.....summer is gone.

I will use the high court here in Benin city.

Hello gurus, please I need an urgent response. God bless you abundantly.

I just filed two applications for winter 2017 via Uniassist.
M.Sc in power Engineering at BTU cottbus Seftenberg and M.Sc in Electrical engineering at the University of Magdeburg... Studied Electrical,/Electronics Engineering and graduated with a CGPA of 3.84/5. What's now left is to pay the €90 to uniassist and send the notarized copies of the documents I submitted. The two schools and the courses are taught in English. I wrote TOEFL and scored 81. German is not mentioned as a requirement, however, I plan to start the course In May. I have about 12 documents I wish to attach and I would like to go to the German Embassy in Lagos... So I mentioned in my application my plan to attend the course from May.

Is it too late to send in an application through uniassist at this time? I have 4weeks to meet up with the schools deadline,.
Will the embassy require any money or the German language course certificate before stamping my documents?
I am currently in Benin city,.. Can I just stamp the documents in a high court? Does it matter? Which option is preferable?

If everything goes well, I should send out the documents via UPS on Wednesday 3rd May and also pay the €90 while waiting for them to receive the documents.

Please I need your candid suggestions..
God bless you as I anticipate your response.

I can relate with you and your current feeling very well.

My kind suggestions and advises:

1: Sorry. When the requirements says one should get a supervisor, I won't apply if I don't have, except the application is free. Why? Acceptance is barely 10% sure, with no supervisor, when it is needed. So, please get a supervisor next time, before applying, if needed.

2: only you can by searching all universities in Canada that offer your course. Google search universitystudy website for help. I will only advise you stay away from highly ranked schools because of your GPA.

3: Don't worry, be happy. In this race, few are blessed to get it right at first trial, but many got it after years of multiple trials. I know you wish to leave 9ja very soon but relax and be persistence.

4: once again, don't expect much from them cos Waterloo engineering programs are highly ranked. Your low GPA and inability to secure a supervisor might work against you, I am not sure though. My advise is that you send well drafted email to their faculty members who has similar interest with yours, telling them that you have applied and will like them to supervise you.

All in all. Just relax, strategize and re-strategize, while you keep keep the fire burning more than before.

I pray you are favoured. Shalom! cool

Thanks a million for your kind words.
I'll Google Search for universities that I meet their requirements. I really appreciate

CHECK UNIVERSITY OF WINDSOR, I think application for FALL start is still open. you may apply for MEng in Electrical Engineering there to avoid another stress of securing supervisor and when you get your visa and go to that school. you can switch to M.sc if that is your priority.

Your application was reviewed by our admissions committee for September 2017. Unfortunately we were unable to assign a supervisor. Therefore, your application has been closed.

I wont be happy if I don't resume school this fall. I also applied to the University of Waterloo but I'm a bit skeptical since I didn't also get a supervisor before applying. What can I do to boost my chance of being admitted there?
