My husband just ran over one of our two dogs on the forelegs and he's screaming in excruciating pains . What can we do? We don't have any vets closeby. I never liked dogs in the house but hearing him cry in pain is breaking my heart. How can I relieve its pain till we get a vet?

Why are these people hell bent on giving Kogi State Covid-19, nobody has shown any symptoms and no any mysterious death. Covid-19 is not something anyone can cover up, since one month back people have been claiming there is Covid-19 in Kogi State up till now we have not seen any.

The report is quite vague. Who are the people forcing them to declare fake COVID-19 case? Who can possibly be putting pressure on a state government to make such declaration? Are individuals now bigger than the state?

For them not to have had any confirmed case shows how much they are underperforming regarding this pandemic. They're not testing suspected cases, they don't even have any reasonable isolation center. Their governor is also looking for his own share of the loot but first want to appear righteous and say they're being forced to do announce fake results. They are real positive cases in the state, test them and announce them. Even as a deadly pandemic is slowly ravaging the country, they still can't do anything right.

How can you have a confirmed case when you're not carrying out any form of testing? Do they even have any isolation center?

I don't understand most of his write-up but he seems to be pretty damaged by the way his dad treated him when he was young; not caring about him, giving priority to other people's children etc. The father probably wants him to be tough and street smart but he went about it the wrong way. Some parents believe showing a child love will make the child spoilt or not "sharp". A lot of fathers do this and some mothers too. If only they knew how much they're damaging their kids' psyche. I hope he gets healed

After they've been sucked dry by mistresses, they'll now bring their broken pieces back and expect to be given royal treatment. If you see any aged man neglected or mistreated by his wife and kids, ask about how he treated his family during his hayday. By the time you get the full story, any ounce of sympathy you initially had for him will automatically fly out the window. Not saying they're no bad wives but our society was designed in a way that men get away with a lot in marriage which a woman ideally wouldn't.

Some men wunt blink even if you apply all these to satisfy him,he will still get worse. I know someone like the OP hubby and trust me it got worse. People like the OP husband are cold hearted and very cruel. Not even their wife's dead body moves them. They are not worth the stress.

That's why she needs to strike back, talk back, FIGHT back. Men like these are like wolves, they won't back down unless you face them and fight back. She has been calm and respectful all these years, what did she gain with it? High BP. Mutual respect is what makes marriage work not one spouse demanding for respect by frustrating his spouse all the time.

seeing this post frightens me more. my relationship of 5 months is giving me headache. he said he can't give me money except I ask. Just bear in mind that courtship is the sweetest part of a relationship. If he's this insensitive towards you during courtship, he will be worse in marriage. There's no perfect person in this world but one needs to be very careful when choosing a life partner. Marriage is a looooooong road, too long to be miserable for most of it.

I 101% agree with him and pity the people saying this is Kano's problem only. People have started trooping out of Kano and where will their destination be? Yep, the South. There's no way you can effectively ban interstate travel especially with the type of land boarders we have. The thing is, irrespective of her intentions or mode of giveaway, the fact that we have people like this among us, calls for concern.

This is wrong on all levels.

Meaning if the items were not relief materials but goods to be sold, that's how they would have looted everything. Most annoying is how smart they must be feeling with this shameless act. This is not poverty but sheer greed, vileness and backwardness. Poverty should not make you stupid.

She didn't organize the giveaway properly. Wtf was she thinking opening up her car for those vultures to dive in and loot everything inside? You just don't park at the road side and say you want to do giveaway, how do you intend to reach your target recipients? She should have met with CDA leaders and who will help in organizing the giveaway. They know those truly in need and will help keep the mob in check. My area's CDA shared relief materials to the less privileged in the area and it was very organized. They went round the homes and shops of the needy to share the items rather than creating a central collection point where mobs will come to fight and loot.

That said, this goes to show how crazy a lot of Nigerians are especially the poverty ridden ones. Are they only poor people in the world? There are many other countries with poorer citizens but you will never see them acting like barbarians or trying to swindle you or steal from you. TBH there's something fundamentally wrong with a lot of Nigerians.

The way this disease is going to explode in the north, I don't think they will have the numbers to give staggering results come 2023 elections.

I just hope they don't start trooping to the South to carelessly spread the disease as they're doing in Kano. We need to find a way to make them stop coming to the south at all costs. We can do without their meat and agricultural produce for now

A lot of people treat you bad because you let them get away with it. You need to start standing up for yourself. Tell him disagreeing with him does not mean you're disrespecting him. Once a while, remind him of your contributions to the family. Tell him you're ready to live without him if that's what will give you peace of mind. If he's still acting up, park him to one side and face your kids. Start being selfish, put yourself first. let your happiness revolve around yourself and your kids. The moment men see how well you can and will live without them, they tend to sit up.
