The name of the school is Algonquin college, ottawa.
So I should tell them that its not too late to apply for Visa abi? But if I may ask, is it really too late? Despite I have about 3-4months 2go?

Well, its late for 3 months.

But If u still av till last week of september b4 una registration close, i dnt tink it's late for 17-18 weeks processing time...
Provided you wanna apply dis week or nxt week..else, defer ur admission or find anoda sch.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 4 by dommakavelli: 9:36pm On May 06, 2013
Odinwa: Pls guys can u imagine the school that gave me admission is telling me that its too late to apply for visa now in Nigeria cos my start date is september, they said I should consider sept 2014 start date instead. Please should I ignore them and go ahead to apply for the visa or should I listen and wait till sept 2014?

Don't play with fire o...pls don't ignore them. just write to dem, n let them understand that it's not too late to apply for visa because you have enquired from the embassy in your country abt the processing time.

I think you must have asked a question frm them in a wrong way, *they misunderstood your question* n they're advising you to defer your admission.

N if i may ask, which sch is that?

Even after paying your tuition, i tell people all the time to make sure that 5M Naira is sitting and chilling in the account, but honestly, it is not the balance in the account that ONLY matters, but the inflow and outflow of cash from that account. . . 5M Naira is not a must, even something as little as 3M naira is ok, but i always like to see 5M Naira

In addition, VO's re human. mayb d one dat wud attend to dat application loves to see 5m too....n ova look every oda tins....lolz

Pls attend to Xtus's question too..we need your opinion too.

Thanks a lot bro. Now how am I gonna pay the visa fee because I don't have the embassy's account details? Since they said we should pay by bank draft. Does anyone have their account details please?

You dnt need any acct details
Just walk in to any of d banks below with your int'l passport or any other means of identification,
UBA
GTB
First Bank
Access Bank .etc

Tell them you want to buy a bank draft or manager's cheque of #19500..
(The draft or manager's check serve the same purpose)
Beneficiary : Canadian Deputy High Commission.
Tell d bank officer that, the draft must be made payable in Lagos. And must b duly signed.
Remember to Write you name and passport number @ d back of the draft.

Odinwa: Please is letter of intent and letter of explanation the same? Am confused in the two letters. If they re not the same, do I need to write both letters for visa application?
2ndly, while writing letter of explanation, will it contain an address? That is will it be written like a formal letter? If yes, then which address will I direct it to?
3rdly, will my sponsor letter have the same format with my letter of explanations?
Thanks

1. They're the same tin n they serve the same purpose.
2 you can choose any format, but it's advisable to write it in a formal letter.
Address:
Canadian Deputy High Commission,
4, Anifowoshe street,
Victoria Island,
Lagos.

3. Your sponsorship letter should be a formal Letter (very Important)

Pls advice on dis.
I have a receipt of the transfer made by my sponsor into my account. Which i've attached to my sponsor's docx. I have my name n my sponsor's on d receipt.
D fund was for my full tuition which has bin paid..
Do you think i should write a note under the receipt stating wot brought abt d receipt or make i just attach am like that.

i just looked through the checklist, both the copy i have with me and the one on the site..guess m missing something.. can you please quote the section and what it says..

Last page, 4th column
marriage certificates or birth
cert for each family member whether or
not they r requesting a visa.

bumdish:
It is not compulsory however, it could come under supporting documents especially if your are trying to prove/show/emphasize something not generally obvious. For example, if you are trying to accentuate a relationship to your half brother/sister or if your sponsor is your maternal uncle and you want to highlight that he shares the same surname with your mums maidens',then you can think of adding those document otherwise, na excess luggage.

But their's sumtin on d checklist that states that, marriage certificates or birth cert for each family member whether or not they r requesting a visa.

Don't leave it blank...use the amount on your minimum expenses form.
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 4 by dommakavelli: 11:55pm On Apr 20, 2013
lucky Don: Filling many siblings may be counter productive in the sense that if u decide to stay in Canny,ur parents wont worry since they have other children around. Also been ano only child may mean that ur parents cant afford to lose their only kid in a far away oyinbo land for a long period of time.secondly V0s might think that once u enter,u will bring them to Canada. My thought though.

Lmao "if u decide to stay in Canny,ur parents wont worry since they have other children around"
Where u see dat kind tin? Who won loose pikin..even if na 20.
By d way, y won't you b worried abt a child you spent millions on.

Bros, family info dey help. Sum1 without family can't b traced... Dey dnt want you to come up wit asylum story say, you no get family @ home...Dats one of d essence of d form..if u have 20, list them. Just minimise d number of dependents. Shikena.

emmausa: Helo house! This is really great! Pls i want to ask, can i tell the embassy that am the only son or child of my parent?? Just want to know if that will be ok.
Secondly anyone who got accepted @ seneca college, pls can u snd me mail. And anyone who stays in aba abia state, am on the process of filling the application we can meetup pls!

Hahaha!!! Brodaaa!!
Don't b selfish na...infact listing your siblings wud go a long way to help your application. It serve as home ties...
