toheebDOTcom:It actually happened in the early hours of today like 2am ![]() Working on a project currently (PHP,MYSQL,BOOTSTRAP,JAVASCRIPT) There is a section of the project that queries all users ,checks their account balance and updates it The script is supposed to check certain conditions before updating each users account balance ,if those users dont meet that condition it skips to the next I created two dummy/demo users in the database ,ran the code First users account was updated Second users account no gree update oo ![]() Na im i come dey look code oo ,check while loop everything ,the code was perfectly ok Ran it again first user updated ,second user still didnt update ![]() Omo na him i turn to mumu , come they thinks say spiritual possession don dey enter code again , cos the code was perfectly okAfter like two hours of frustration looking at just approx 10-15 lines of code I later noticed and remembered that i set the second user to oppose/disagree with the condition for update(to be sure that the condition was working fine) , that means its actually not supposed to update, and my code was working well all along !!! Thats the most stupid i have felt in a long time after i solved a simple maths question(in sec school) for 1 week and realized that it was + and - thats was giving me problem ![]() |
Nasa28:since he connected to external monitor and e no work, its very likely its a power surge problem/or a failing RAM as my oga at the top said |
ExperTrait:Its really hard to undertsand the beginning of your explanation , but i grabbed some part of the end A common cause of your bootstrap menu not working is exclusion of some required files ,e.g. Jquery (most times) Another possible cause is the way you ordered the linking of the JavaScript files eg <script src="js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>The code above would case anomalies sometimes but the one below should make things work right <script src="js/jquery-3.1.1.min.js"></script>I just think something is missing or not properly ordered , just check your code well , you can share it too,so the community can help you check it out . |

(In jenifas voice)He yaf tayed that, I have write on Nairalander,so i am come to give you this imporant menssage to teach you everything in how to post on Instumgrum from your computer browser, oya let us be go. https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/instagram-1519537_1280-1024x683.jpg Have you been having issues uploading to Instagram through your browser, just like you do on Facebook ,and Twitter ,then this is for you. A lot of people ,especially digital marketers have issues posting on Instagram from their PC,the first thing that comes to mind is an Android Simulator(eg Bluestacks) so you can install the apk file. But this comes with so much limitations like : Bluestacks and other android simulators are slow to run Most of them have a minimum hardware requirement to install Not all are free In this post i would give you a quick breakdown of how to post on Instagram from a PC browser. 1.DOWNLOAD GRAMBLR Lets get the ball rolling , first we have to download a software called Gramblr , go to their website http://gramblr.com.Download the right setup for your computer. For the purpose of this tutorial we would be using the windows version also download the right version that is 32bit/64bit.The file size is approximately 3mb. https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr1-1024x736.jpg 2.EXTRACT GRAMBLR The setup is a zip(archived file) so we have to extract it , you can do this using windows explorer just double click and at the top you should see "extract" In my case i am using a software called 7zip , you can get 7zip herejust right click on the file and extract it via the "7zip" drop down. 3.RUN GRAMBLR After extracting, run the file in the extracted folder as an administrator .Follow the prompt . Depending on the way your system is configured Internet Explorer might pop up , you can close it you don't need it now . At this point Gramblr has started some "services"(Background activities) needed to run it in your browser. 4.LAUNCH IN YOUR BROWSER To work with Gramblr without issues , i would suggest you DONT use Internet Explorer , any other browser should work fine . I would be making use of Opera for this tutorial Launch your browser In the link field navigate to http://localhost.gramblr.com:4343 You should see an interface like the image below https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr2-1024x736.jpg Since you dont have a Gramblr account yet we are going to register first, lets move on to the next step. 5. SIGN UP Click "sign up" at the bottom of the page in the image above, you should see something like this after clicking: https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr3-1024x736.jpg Email:Just about any email not necessary the one you used for Instagram Password: A secure password , not necessarily your Instagram password Confirm Password: Repeat the password you chose above Instagram Username: Your Instagram username Instagram Password: Your Instagram password Then click "Sign up". If its successful you should see an interface like this https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr4-1024x736.jpg Awesome !!!, now lets move on to the next step and upload an image !!. 5. UPLOAD AN IMAGE Gramblr has so many features including a coin earning system ,but for the purpose of this tutorial we would focus on the basics .Lets upload our first image https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr4-1024x736.jpg In the image above on the center of the page you would see "Drag and Drop an image......." You can just drag an image into this area or click on that area to upload an image from your computer. In my case I have dragged an image in (its easier and I am too lazy to upload by clicking *winks*). You should see an interface like this after uploading: https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr5-1024x736.jpg From this point its pretty much similar to the process on Instagram itself , but don't worry i would walk you through On this interface you can just click save and move on , you can also crop the image by dragging on the image . Lets proceed, after cropping (if you like )and clicking save, you should see an interface like this : https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr6-1024x736.jpg You can add filters if you want to or just click continue,I dont want filters so i am just going to continue . You should see something like this : https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr7-1024x736.jpg Here you can tag friends just at the bottom of the image .Also write your caption, add a smiley and choose when you want the the image to be posted (Immediately or at a scheduled time)NOTE:If you choose some other time , your browser has to be running at that time,Gramblr also has to be running and your internet connection has to be on as well. Then click send !, you should see something like what we have below , you can also share on Facebook and Twitter : https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr8-1024x736.jpg 5. THE OUTCOME Here is what your Instagram profile looks like after uploading : https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/gramblr9-1024x736.jpg Pretty much easy right ?The same procedure is applicable when uploading a video. I know what you are thinking "Why does he have just 2 followers ,or is that a dummy account ?" Answer: Its not a dummy account ,its my real Instagram account ,hehehehehe,no one likes me , i had to create two other blank accounts and followed myself *winks* . I hope you enjoyed this tutorial ,don't forget to share, follow me and check out my other posts.Thanks. Lalasticlala come and helping the condition of people that dont have android to be posting on Instumgrum (in jenifas voice *winks* ) http://donald.com.ng/blog/tutorials/post-instagram-pc-browser/ |
3RNEST:av u resolved it? |
Yeah ,i wrote an article on some Alexa alternatives here. They are not as good as Alexa but good enough |
https://donald.com.ng/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/okoro-still-image-quadron-studios.jpg Image Credit : Anisiuba Uche Here is are some quick tips especially for beginners in CG and professional alike .Enjoy ,learn and apply. BACK UP !!! BACK UP !!! Backing up your designs and your files is something that can not be over emphasized. What do i mean? there was a time i lost files that included designs that dated back to 4 years before that time (4 years of hard work gone!!).I am still trying to recover from the shock. So please always backup your work ,always back up your designs and files ,it is very important. In case you are wondering where and how you can back up, do one or all of the following(doing all is more advisable if you can) : Back up on as many systems or computers as possible ,your friends laptop, your family members laptop as many safe computers as possible ,note the word safe. Store your data in external data storage devices such as flash drives ,external hard-disks etc. All the above can fail you ,computers can crash ,external hard disks can develop fault ,but your best bet should always be ONLINE STORAGE,yeah !!! this has been very useful to me so many times and the advantage of online storage is that you can access your files anywhere ,even if you don't have access to your computer. Some online storage services you can make use of are Goggle drive,Dropbox, etc ALWAYS PLAN Being a CG artists requires that you plan before executing a project ,whether it is just something you want to showcase or you are just practicing .You have to ask yourself questions like ,what do i want to design ?,what would it look like ? ,what colors would my design have ?, what tool/software am i going to make use of,what are the steps i will take.Asking yourself all this questions will help you save a lot of time when you actually start the design or animation on your computer,it is also advisable to answer all those questions(graphically) on paper, i mean make a rough sketch(on paper) of the what your final design would look like.Planning before designing helps save a lot of time ,so make sure you plan before you start that design. DON'T STEAL Stealing or showing off other peoples work as your own can be one of the most horrible things you can do as a designer. Put yourself in the person's shoes, how would you feel if your work is claimed by someone else after spending days working on the designs.Apart from moral reasons for not stealing other peoples designs it could also ruin your reputation as a designer ,your clients will loose trust in your design skills when they find out you have been showing off other people's work as your own ,it places a big tag on you -INCOMPETENT. HAVE AN ONLINE PORTFOLIO Having an online portfolio is one of the most important things a CG artist has to do regardless of your field in CG whether it is animation, graphic design, or modeling ,it does not matter you need an online portfolio-why ?.The world has evolved to a point where almost nothing can be done without the internet ,having an online portfolio is the best way for prospective clients to know your capabilities and your "strong points",it makes them have a feel of what you are good at before contacting you .So create an online portfolio now contact me here if you need help with a website. ALWAYS USE THE RIGHT TOOLS Using the right tools in CG is very important, and most CG artists always overlook this fact ,using the right/best tools will always save time and give you better results .Lets take this scenario for example,I want to design a brochure or book, and i have the following software on my laptop ,Adobe Photoshop,Indesign,Fireworks ,the fact is that all this software listed can actually be used to design a brochure ,but Indesign should be the chosen one because that was what it was built for and it has some tools that Photoshop and Fireworks does not have which will help you save time and give you better results. So always make your research and use the right/best tools for that CG project you are working on. KEEP UP WITH THE PACE OF CLIENTS Clients are like your life line as CG artists, even though you love what you do i am sure you will also want to make cash out of it ,so keeping your clients happy should be your priority. One thing that makes client unhappy the most is not delivering on time,or at the specified time .So always keep to the time stipulated by clients even if it means getting an extra helping hand or getting tools to quicken your work-flow. DIVERSIFY CG(Computer Graphics) is very broad with so many branches-animation,compositing,matte painting, graphic design and so on.So the fact that you are good in a particular aspect of CG does not mean you should not know some little things about other aspects .It helps you interact with CG artists from other fields without problems, take for example, you are part of a team working on an animated movie and you are an animator you will have to interact with so many other people such as modelers, texture artists ,riggers etc. So for ease of operation, it will be an added advantage if you know some little things or terminologies in the other CG fields. YOU DON'T KNOW IT ALL !!! The fact that you have so many years of experience using a software ,or you have so much experience in a particular field does not mean you should stop learning ,always get news on new industry standards ,tips and tricks, you never know there might be an easy way of performing certain tasks that takes you hours to finish when it can be done in minutes using another method. So don't stop learning. KEEP PRACTICING You just have to keep practicing no matter how good you are or claim to be.You have to keep improving on your skills ,as you do this you would notice that you will do and achieve more in less time. LEARN AS MANY SOFTWARE AS POSSIBLE Yeah i said it !!!! .Learn as many software as possible ,10 ,20 just keep going ,i tried it and it has being a life saver .It helps you save time, do some task faster, and get better results generally. And it also helps you solve a lot of integration problems easily. (Do this wisely , its also good to concentrate your efforts depending on what you are working on). BE RESILIENT One of the mistakes i made when i just started out as a CG artist was that at times i gave up too easily ,learning CG or mastering CG (if you are not a learner) can be very frustrating at times, you will not always get the desired result on the first try, trust me i have been there ,no matter how perfect you claim to be at CG you just have to keep persisting .And if you are learner don't give up too easily, CG is fun !!!.You just have to keep moving forward ,don't give up,and if you have plans on learning CG ,START NOW and KMF(Keep Moving Forward). ALWAYS USE THE RIGHT COMPUTER This is very important ,choosing the right computer for CG can not be left out of this list it is very paramount ,i wrote an article on things you should consider before buying a computer for CG check it out here . I hope i nailed it.Is there anything you thought i should have added ? get the comments rolling in.Don't forget to share http://donald.com.ng/blog/technology/computer-graphics/12-vital-tips-cg-artist-animators/ Oga erad how far na ,Make our guys learn abeg Prof800 you dey there ? |
