In the statement released on Twitter, she explained where she must have got it wrong and what should have been done to avoid possible mistakes. She also pointed out some wrong moves from Nnamdi Kanu.

The Lagos state police command has given reasons for arresting 40 persons that participated in the #OccupyLekkiTollgate protest earlier today.

A Magistrates Court in Lagos State has ordered that a DNA paternity test be conducted on the daughter of a Yoruba actress, Ronke Odusanya following her separation from her estranged partner, Olanrewaju Saheed.

Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi has suffered a "setback" in his trial for fraud and money laundering in the United States, as his lawyers have applied to withdraw from the case.

Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky who filed the application after months of negotiating with the US government, alleged that Hushpuppi stopped communicating with them and has now retained new lawyers to defend him in the case.

Legendary American TV personality Larry King has died today (January 23) aged 87.

The news was revealed on King’s official Twitter account by his representatives, Ora Media. No official cause of death has yet been announced, though King was hospitalized at the start of the month after contracting COVID-19.

“With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” the message wrote.

The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu has said that the implementation of the 65 year retirement age and 40 year of service approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday, January 20, took off from January 1.

Adamu revealed this on Thursday, January 21 as he spoke at the 2020 ministerial briefing in Abuja.

The Minister who noted that there will be no uniform take-off date for all the other policies approved by President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2020 World Teachers Day, added that effective dates for other policies would be announced subsequently after the submission of the report of the National Coordinating Committee.

The Lagos State High Court in Ikeja, has rejected the post-conviction bail application filed by the Senior Shepherd-in-Charge of the Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Global, Prophet Israel Ogundipe.

Ogundipe was arraigned before the court on a seven-count charge following a petition filed by a UK-based architect, Mrs Olaide Williams-Oni, who accused him of obtaining a total of N17 million from her with the promise to help her procure some landed property. In her testimony before the court, Williams-Oni had told the court that she met prophet Ogundipe in 2002 during her visit to Nigeria when she was taken to his church for prayers by her step-sister.

The presiding judge, Justice Olabisi Akinlade, on November 18, found the clergyman guilty of two of the seven charges brought against him and dismissed the remaining five over lack of evidence. She then sentenced him to one-year imprisonment on each count but said the prison terms would run concurrently.

Scotland on Tuesday made sanitary products free to all women, becoming the first nation in the world to take such a step against “period poverty”.

The measure makes tampons and sanitary pads available at designated public places such as community centres, youth clubs and pharmacies, at an estimated annual cost to taxpayers of 24 million pounds ($32m).

The Period Products (Free Provision) Scotland Bill passed unanimously, and First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon called it “an important policy for women and girls”.
