It's not about where the indigenes live. Its about the population of the original indigenes in that state compared to non indigenes.
Then the headline is wrong.

So America with strong currency is not exporting optimally?

This is how you guys defended Bubu's ineptitude for 8yrs. You guys have transferred this pathetic behavior to Tinubu who is worst than Bubu
America rarely export consumer goods. They do more of tech. smiley

It is a lie bro, can even be done in less than 4 hours. Only number 2 and 3 will take the cleaner's effort. There are washing machines everywhere bro.

You spent 100k shopping? For how long will that last you till the next shopping sir? I like healthy debates.
I have a washing machine. I don't use it. It's stressful.
The lady does not use it either.

@Bolded
Sure. That's the calculation.

Except that we are not industrialized and exporting industrial goods and services but are resource dependent and to a large extent import dependent.
Because cost of production is high at the moment

Hopefully, when the refineries resume, the cost of production will come down

Well if you want a strong currency, you have to be an exporter of manufactured goods and services.

Otherwise anything you do is the equivalent of calling a rabbit a 🦄.
Weak currency actually favours exporters.

The dollar you earn gives you more Naira here

What is that that you bought that will cost a fortune in the UK? Are you converting to Naira to compare? If yes, did you also convert the salary to compare?

I don't see how the person cannot afford to hire someone to work 4 hrs a week to do house chores. The person will earn exactly what he himself earns per hour. If you have an 8-shift, and hire someone to work for you for 4 hrs, I no see anything difficult there.
One day per week is not equivalent to 4 hours here.
It definitely is more:
1. Clothes are washed.
2. The toilets are washed.
3. The floor is swept and mopped.
This will cost you your salary in UK if you hire someone.

Back to the shopping, I didn't do any conversion.
If I list what I bought here, if you were to buy similar in the UK, you will smell pepper.
Yet I spent just around 100k, maybe a little more, I am yet to ascertain the actual figure.
And the stuff is for the whole month including the Easter celebrations.

Imagine how much this will cost you in the UK cheesy

Penguin2:
When I said in the other thread that buffoons have taken power in Nigeria, it seemed like I was just hating on Tinubu government but it’s the truth.

Or tell me what this particular policy is meant to achieve.

Explain it to me like I’m in nursery school.

In the end, what they will achieve is that banks come together and merge together so they can get the 500billion naira base capital. That’s how we will end up having about just 5 commercial banks remaining.

So, ultimately they will end up shrinking Nigerians’ choices and leaving us at the mercy of just few banks who will treat us as they like because our options are limited.

If you disagree with this, then tell me the advantages of this policy.

I’ll wait
Just shut up if you don't know what to say. angry

Now, the banks will be in a mad, desperate rush to have Naira thereby mopping up excess liquidity from the system.

The Naira will then appreciate! cool

If you make 2500 pounds monthly you can save 500 pounds without holidays or vacations . 500*12 = 6000, 6000* 1000 (worst case) is 6,000,000 naira savings yearly. How many 200k monthly can save 6,000,0000 yearly in Nigeria
Stop converting to Naira!!! 6,000 pounds is worth far less that NGN6m!!! angry

Can you imagine we Nigerians, we are really unbelievable. Yes, when dollar increased it didn't take 24hours before people started adding price, now Dollar reduced the prices of things haven't reduced an inch. Later una go dey shout Tinubu.

Since I was born, I have never seen when the price of a commodity reduced after increased, not even pure water 💦
Thank you

Nigerians are savagely greedy

They sell old stock at the new rates in the market because of the very stupid argument that they need to restock when they are done selling

In actual fact, they cash out and don't really restock as much as they used to because the demand will definitely drop as the market reacts.

Custom duty has not step down.
Exactly!

The custom duty is now equivalent to the exchange rate.

That's why things are expensive

Before, it used to be 500-900
