Racoon:That's because Nigeria used to get free money from the IMF, Uk and the US with cheap goods from Russia which has stopped since the Ukrainian war |
Epstein:Since Tinubu refused to borrow more money to stabilize the Exchange rates market, Dangote''s wealth has reduced |
navyseal2220:If you check history, You'll see that At least 1/3rd of Igbos living in Igbo land are migrants from the Akwa/Cross area, including Nnamdi cownu himself. Any Igbo answering Maazi as a title, or names like Okoro, Okolo, Okoli and Obasi are from the Akwa/Cross area with roots through Lake Ejeagham area in South West Cameroun |
nazicartel:That's after usurping the turn of the Igbos to produce the Senate president. Igbo politicians are all a joke. Very useless set of idiots. No difference between them and IPOB leaders |
Frigga13:Seems Igbo leaders have sworn an oath not to rule Nigeria. It will be a miracle if an Igbo becomes president because I don't see how a group of people who lacks ambition can become president. I'll rather bet that Igbo political leaders support Biafra than support one of their own to become president |
blueAgent:You still don't get it. In the parliamentary system, if the APC members fails to do a vote of no confidence in Tinubu, the head of State, who cannot be a member of APC, can call for new elections in the Parliament for the post of prime Minister. Also one part of the ruling coalition govt(usually of the Head of state) can form a new coalition with other members of the opposition and form a government. It that doesn't work, then a new election will be called |
Akwamkpuruamu:The border is wide open. Northern farmers are selling to Niger Rep for handsome profits because of Tinubu's sanctions on Niger rep. Commodity board is good, but I agree with you on food subsidy. Jonathan's fertilizer subsidy, ended by the corrupt Buhari govt, should also be introduced |
nairalanda1:Food subsidy will be reintroduced. That's good news |
Ogiame:That's because Tinubu imposed sanctions on Niger republic. Tinubu should end the sanctions for peace to reign. The military junta has come to stay in Niger rep. Even the Presidential system of government practiced in Africa is the junior brother to Military dictatorship |
nlfpmod:Tinubu was instructed by the world bank to devalue the Naira to 2000 naira per dollar and he is going about it diligently. All these sale or no sale, bureau d change war, backlog or whatever is just hogwash. After successfully devaluing the naira, Tinubu will begin intervention on the Naira rate |
blueAgent:Oga the main difference is that in the parliamentary system, a new election can be called anytime a vote of no confidence is served on a prime Minister but can't be done in the Presidential system where the executive rules till the end of his tenure. Another major difference is the lack of a constitution. In the Parliamentary system, a flawed and rigged election can always be corrected by calling for new elections at anytime so no need for going to the Election petition tribunal |
blueAgent:My brother it is far less expensive than the Billions of Naira stolen by politicians every day. The Parliamentary system will work in Africa and it has worked before |
blueAgent:South Africa practices the Presidential system of government. And their country will continue its downward trend as long as they don't have weapons and guns to protect their democracy like the Americans. The Presidential system of government is useless without Armed citizens to protect their rights and freedoms |
blueAgent:If you say the military will suspend the parliamentary system like Aguiyi Ironsi did in 1966, then I will agree with you. But as long as the parliamentary system of government is at place, with no military coup, the sky is our limit. Liberia's democracy did not last like that of America because the Liberian citizens DO NOT OWN GUNS. Emphasis on 'GUNS' AND WEAPONS '. Why do you think the Democrats wants to disarm Americans.? Cos they want to destroy the American democracy just as Democracy in Africa have been destroyed and bastardised for the last 50 years. But you can't destroy Americas democracy if you have armed citizens threatening you with guns and weapons at every turn. The American soldiers are great but they are a tiny fraction of American population who have 4 times more guns than their soldiers combined. Make no mistake, the day the Americans lose their first amendment rights to own guns is the day they lose their democracy. If they protest they will be gunned down like the Lekki massacre and nobody will do anything about it. Just imagine that the Lekki protesters had guns and weapons like the Americans. Those soldiers would have dare not shoot at them or they will face the consequences of restaliatiin immediately Hope you saw the Black lives matter protests of 2020? Did you see how weapons where freely used and the American police couldn't handle them? Thata how real protests are done. That's why American politicians don't treat their citizens as shit like in Africa. Before the white man came here, in Igbo land, all Igbos were armed with guns. Igbos had the highest number of guns then. The first thing the British did was to confisticate all those guns even before they started imposing taxes. From that time till now, the Igbo Republican spirit, protected by their weapons, have become utterly destroyed. FREEDOM IS BEST PROTECTED BY ARMED CITIZENS |
blueAgent:They will be recalled and new elections immediately conducted to replace them. Sure you know Israel did 3 elections in one year in 2020?? That's the beauty of the parliamentary system of government. It is simply the Best |
blueAgent:I suggest you list the studies of the matter. I've given you instances but you need to compare the Nigeria of the first Republic Parliamentary system of government and see how low we have sunk under successive governments |
blueAgent:Every Nigerian wants Tinubu out of power. In a parliamentary system of government, all members of parliaments would be getting calls by now demanding for A VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE on Tinubu. A Successful vote of no confidence means Tinubu is gone |
blueAgent:There are NONE, unfortunately. That's why Africa is in a mess while Europe is enjoying dividends of democracy. Only America is succeeding by using the Presidential system of government but their citizens are well armed so they can always waste their politicians if they misbehave |
blueAgent:Whites were also disobedient. If you say blacks are lazy I will agree, but man whether Black or White, is inherently selfish and will not hesitate to break the law if it will advance his interests. The only way to break that disobedience is to create a system of government that will check mate the excesses of political leaders. Look at what happened to Liz Truss. She tried to do what Tinubu did last year and was immediately booted out of office. If Britain were a constitutional republic, the British will probably be experiencing what we're getting now and they will be as helpless as us to stop it till 4 years time. But look at how she was booted out of power. If we're running a parliamentary system of government, Tinubu will be old news by now |
ogododo:How I wish Nigerians are well armed like American citizens. These wicked poltiefcians would have been wasted by now so that they will never enjoy their loot in peace. DEMOCRACY WITHOUT ARMED CITIZENS IS AS USELESS AS MILITARY DICTATORSHIP |
blueAgent:Zimbabwe uses the constitutional presidential system of government. No African country uses the parliamentary system of government |
The Presidential system of government enabled the economic collapse of Nigeria through inept government policies and tribalism. Truth is that the Presidential system of government is virtually useless without a well armed citizenry like in the USA. European Parliamentary system of government remains the best system of government one need to look at the success of the European economy and society today. Compare it with Africa where the Presidential system is in vogue and you'll see the difference. Can one compare the booming economy, well organized society, zero corrupt leadership with the poverty, suffering, bad leadership, outright looting and stealing of government officials, corruption, nepotism, tribalism and outright wickedness of African countries? If we're in a parliamentary system of government, Tinubu will be out of power right now. There would have been a call for new elections immediately the prices of goods and services started to rise and a vote of no confidence will be passed on Tinubu forcing him to resign. Even the most corrupt Nigerian President Buhari would not have lasted a whole 8 years to use and steal and loot in a parliamentary system. He would have been disgraced out of office and sent to jail for stealing and looting. Truth is there is little difference between the Presidential system of government and Military rule. The only difference is that power changes hands after 8 long years even if our citizens are suffering or smiling and a corrupt Legislature. We just have to flip the coin and enjoy whatever Leaders it gives us. In a parliamentary system, it is not so because that government knows it could lose power at any moment in time through a VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE. The Presidential system of government is outdated and plagued with severe numerous limitations and should be SCRAPPED. African countries should emulate and adopt the Parliamentary system of government as it has PROVEN to be the BEST SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT in the last 100 years since the end of the Monarchy. Alternatively, if the Presidential system of government is to be retained, then all ALL AFRICAN CITIZENS should be ARMED WITH WEAPONS like in the USA so that they can use it to demand IMMEDIATE ACCOUNTABILITY from our government instead of waiting for another election every 4 to 8 years. Just imagine that the Lekki protesters were well armed like with the latest weapons. Can those wicked soldiers open fire on them just like that without the consideration of the consequences of the protesters killing them as well? The Lekki massacre can never happen in the USA, because American citizens have FOUR TIMES more guns and weapons than all the American security forces combined. 15 year old boys in America handle weapons It is time we stopped the era of Sit tight leaders akin to military dictatorship in the name of democracy |

Fuckyoumod:270 million docile and stupid people who are forever waiting for their turn to loot Nigeria's money |
Asswipemod:Which border is opened? I'm talking about the Northern border here so that Rice, Beans, cement etc will be imported from our food producing neighboring African countries like Niger, Chad, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Gambia, Cameroun etc. I'm not talking about importing expensive rice from Thailand and other European/asian countries through the Lagos ports that poor Nigerians can't afford. Unless you were not an adult during the Jonathan presidency when the border was open and food was cheap, you should have known all these things |
Islie:419 yahoo yahoo government. Which food reserve? Instead of opening the border so that rice and other food items will be readily available for Nigerians, Tinubu's govt has chosen to deceive Nigerians with a mythical food reserve. So that his brothers in customs will be feeding fat from the suffering of Nigerians. Wickedness at it's highest level. |
Meerahbel:Tinubu is short man devil from Benin republic and a French stooge. He has come back from France where he sold Nigeria to the French for the benefit of his home country Benin republic. |
chopnaira:Reno Omokri is just putting the cart before the horse. You can't ask Nigerians to grow their economy just like that out of magic then blame Nigerians for their choices of life. It's just like blaming a man who you asked to till the land without giving him a hoe and Cutlass, for not doing his job. How can a bare hand till the ground? That's preposterous. The primary problem of Nigeria is that the Banks in Nigeria do not make their profits by growing the economy., hence their high interest rates of 20 percent ( highest in the world). No country in the world can grow it's economy with such an interest rate without foreign investment. The Federal Government of Nigeria BRIBES THE BANKS TO KEEP THE INTEREST RATES HIGH. The likes of Reno Omokri knows this fact but will never say the truth. Every month, The FG instead of giving dollar earnings to the states to use as they wish, converts the dollar into Naira, then goes to the CBN for the naira equivalent. The CBN then goes to the banks and borrows the cash at the prevalent interest rate, thereby ensuring handsome, stable profit for Nigerian banks every month doing absolutely nothing. With this, what incentives will the banks have to take the risks and grow the economy by lowering interest rates to like 5 percent (like in Europe and America)? If the Nigerian government is truly serious about diversifying our economy from oil, they should lower the interest rates of the Banks. They should stop giving banks awoof money every month so they'll lend money to the real sectors of the economy. The government should also stop the multiple exchange rates and merge it into one. |

BluntCrazeMan:Is it not the same IREV davido's Uncle Adeleke used to win the gubernatorial Election in Osun state? Contrary to most belief, Peter Obi never took the IRTeV seriously else he would have won at the court. This is because he never asked the court to make him President rather he tacitly' admitted 'defeat' by asking the court to disqualify Tinubu and Shettima and for a new election to be done_ an impossibility that ll surely lead to chaos if implemented. I don't know if Obi took bribes from Tinubu because for him not to have asked the courts to make him the winner with more votes according to IREV is very suspicious and would have only benefited Tinubi IREV has come to stay. In 2027 a serious Politician from perhaps the North will definitely use it to win the election against Tinubu |

Prigidypogodo:Na now I know say Yoruba Juju na first class juju. Under Buhari, at least people will be talking. But see as the imposter Tinubu is slowly turning the naira into toilet paper and nobody is saying anything. |
