Peter Obi did not borrow any loan during his tenure as Anambra governor. Though his tenure was interrupted with impeachment and election of new governor which brought new administrations that borrowed. He sought legal redress and got his seat back these 2 consecutive times. Anambra under Obi did not borrow any loan. Debt profile accruing those times may be attributed to Obi's deputy who later became the first executive female governor in Nigeria and Andy Uba who spent just 17 days as governor and was removed by the supreme court

Read your first link. An aide speaking for Obi said Obi did not borrow but guaranteed loan for farmers in the State. That means his govt stood as surety for farmers so he is right to say he did not borrow.

Peter Obi himself didn't claim he didn't borrow; what he is against is borrowing to fund recurrent expenditures. Peter Obi, as always, advocated borrowing to fund critical infrastructure.

But something just kept on telling me to open it and I did.
