I speak from personal experience bro.

You could be right in your own experience but don't say the other person is wrong I stead speak for your self.

Do you get receipts each time you use the toll?

Have you bordered to confirm if the toll was added to your fare?

Observe these things and let the house know and learn.

A few people like me are free to give advice and expose our success secrets but many of us would never do that instead they talk you down when you're trying to make a point.
You're using the wrong card brother.
Your card is for SUV not for saloon.

I remember when you got that card. It's the already made ones that they sell at their office.
All already made cards that were sold at their office are for SUV only.

You need to go complain at their office. They'll edit it back to saloon for you in less than 10mins.

Card is actually cheaper.

Lol. I got a trip to Sango ota yesterday at Obalende, I wanted to turn it down, but d rider pleaded with me not to cancel and promise to offer me more money. He said about 5 drivers cancelled and refuse to go because of bad road. Omo mehn! That place is very very bad. After Abule Egba, Is like they dug hundreds of 3feet grave from Abule egba to Sango ota. As you coming out from a big deep pit you are entering another one. It continues like that all d way to Sango ota. Rider was telling me that a truck fell and killed 2 hawkers due to d bad road. Hammadiya, Kola, Alakuko these places are eyesore. Very annoying and irritating place to go. I wonder how that place will be when it rains. I can't count how my silencer hit d ground. The trip ended 6,600, rider added extra 2,400 making 9k. Luckily for me I got another trip from Sango back to Abule Egba under bridge. I got to kola and change route followed AIIT road to Ekoro road to burst out to Abule Egba. I am saying these here to sensitize U guys how that place looks like before U go. Greed of extra pay made me take such adventure. grin
But I don't think I can try that again.
You're still thinking?

Guys if you didn't participate in today's traffic, congrats. You re lucky. I was fully involved. Idado estate to Ojodu. Rider decided to go back to Lekki after more than 6 hrs in traffic. Just dey reach house since 2pm. The trip was offline and the lady won't add to the fare after even taking her back to Lekki. Local man just gentle.

I learnt some people are still on the road anyways.
Those that didn't come out yesterday don't know what God did for them.

Coming from Egbeda, Lasu road is good....very good. You'll just branch through First gate and you are there

But if you want to pass Mile 2, first buy a new bumper at Ladipo and tie it on the car.

You're most likely to get your bumper or fenders torn either at Barracks, Volks, Iyanaoba, Alabarago or Okokomaiko grin
In conclusion, buying only one bumper will not be enough. grin grin grin

Care to share detailed analysis..maths for us wey no go school?
When you start a trip and switch to google map, check the distance and time it shows to get to your destination.
....say 16km/36mins.

Distance = 960.
Time = 360.
Base fare = 200

Total = 1520.

Such trip will always end 1.5k once traffic didn't affect the time.
Sometimes 1.4k if you get to the destination some minutes earlier than the Google map's ETA.

Note: this is if the waiting time didn't enter paid waiting.

#6560/km, 10/min, 20% commission. I can't say for uber
I always calculate every trip off hand using distance and time (60/10) from my Google Map, once I start a trip.
And I'm always accurate. 90% of the times.

I don't have anything against Bolt. They gave me platform to have accomplished alot. All this challenges is as a result of Covid19, I am trying to pass message to you being a veteran in business but you re hating on the messager instead of the message. Since I stopped using dashboard earning to measure my performance few years back, I have achieved some success in the business. You have to look beyond dashboard bro. The Business is more than dashboard earnings.
Bro.
You're sounding more aggressive than diplomatic here.

Though we can't judge with dashboard, but if everyone can average 14k gross daily, I'm sure no one will talk of winter here again.

With my matrix, I can gross 14k with 3k fuel.
Remove it from the gross, then remove 2.8k bolt commission, plus 1k food.
That's 14 - (3+2.8+1) = 7.2k

7.2k into 6days = 43.2k per week.

Regardless, him grossing 14k today is pure luck and we all know that. Cos street keeps looking more dry by the day.

The only point I'm trying to make here is that we may not base our earnings on gross, but it's quite necessary for a better feasibility study.

For those going into rental agreement, 20k delivery is possible, but you might not have up to 5k for yourself after paying rent.

Ba wahala, that won is in d past, I only say so cos no one is above being blocked... Bolt head is doing over heating right now, if they block someone for this reason, how long will it take before everyone get dia fair share?

And for the issue you have today, I don't have d right to tell u what to do or not, but let's say in the spirit of one love. We need to b careful, Nigerians are emotional and aggressive folks, common false alarm of thief! Next u see people don bring tire and start to beat the person, sometimes we underestimate the power of peace. No one is perfect not even me, but when God give me grace to think twice, I ask myself if I'm normal... I once gave a car hot chase from ogudu to motor-way, until sometin rang in my head like, what if u let dis b? Another experience that crack me up was one happy day, as I try to avoid pothole, dis okoda came from no where, that kind of hit the rider on the okada with his wife blast on d car provoked me, I gave them a hot chase like I was about to knock them down... As we both pull over, I step out and go straight for the guy, damn! His wife was beating the car, no one borrow me sense, before I rush into d car and scared her away with the car, the devil in me still want to find a safe place, so I can come back for return leg, until I saw someone with big stone heading towards me grin they no they tell person, the highest I can get when we get to police station, is dragging agreement on how long it will take for them to pay for damage.

Note: As we keep saying riders r acting up, is same way riders r saying the same about drivers.
So I'm living on grace here?

You all are quick to chastise a partner who has done his feasibility study and has equally paid his dues in this game ,suffered and is still suffering just like everyone of us here.

You have all been calling uber and bolt all sorts of names but you still can't do without them also tell me,has your house rent reduced,or your cost of feeding or your cost of parts or how much you get your drugs if you need to?, are all this people evil too?.Many have lost their jobs, many more will, are those bosses evil too?

You need not insult or call anyone evil, every business has got it's secrets and every success has been an opportunity seized and an edge maintained.

We work with our drivers and we know what is achievable.

Ask, research and think so you can get ahead of the times, because u can't make it doesn't mean no one can.

Dont hate what you don't understand and don't fear what you don't know, We even have a driver whom all he has is an opay account,no Uber,no taxify and he is still getting by.

Need I point to you that our drivers were quite busy during the total lockdown, which they have forever been grateful for. A couple of persons here can bear witness to that.

I am not a lugard or some arm chair business man,am a sleeves up, hands on, socks off working person who is very active in not just one segment of transportation.

Brace up guys, don't get too comfortable in your comfort zone.

see ehn, if everybody begins to share their experience with rider canceling when they are almost at the PU, the ‘tory go long gan. This lockdown period, there’s been more of rider canceling than me canceling, sometimes I feel they are pranking the driver.

For me anything from 5pm I’m already on my way home. Anywhere I am by 5, I must set destination to my area and keep driving, if I get a request along the road, good, if I don’t still good.
Lolzz.
Let me share one painful one I had.

Took a rider to FESTAC one early morning. (7am)
Then got a request from Lagos-badagry expressway. (destination: Ajah)
Rider was on the other side of the express, directly opposite FESTAC first gate.

I called rider and told her that I'm inside Festac, and I have to go down to alakija to make a turn, then connect the middle lane to where she is, and it'll take me 15mins ETA.
She said no problem.

I drove all the way down to Alakija, connect to the middle lane and drove to pick up point. Called rider two times, but she wasn't picking up. Few seconds later I got cancellation notification.

I got stranded and confused. I can't go back to festac, I can't drive back to Alakija, I can't connect to Amuwo odofin nor Orile, cos I'm on the middle lane. My only option is to drive down to Ijora, connect through Costain to surulere or connect through Eko bridge to Marina. And there was heavy traffic climbing that Ijora bridge that morning.

ETA to Costain alone was 45mins.

Me....

It won't work! Bolt is being clever by half.

Say, I'm a driver and I've installed this protective shield. Let's assume my rider #1 for the day happens to be positive for Covid-19. I'm carrying him from Egbeda to Lekki, a 2- hour journey on the average.

On our way, he makes and answers calls. He sneezes maybe once or twice. He coughs once. I'm jamming serious tunes on the car stereo — he's singing along too. I drop him off in Lekki 2 hours later. New request comes in ... I head out to the pickup location ...

So the protective shield is no good if all it does is protect the driver and leave riders exposed! The right thing for Bolt to do is to create systems that will make drivers disinfect their cars and the spaces riders occupy after every ride. That way, everyone is protected.
I think the shield is not meant to protect riders from riders.
It's meant to protect drivers from riders.

You're meant to disinfect your car after every ride. That way, an +ve rider can't spread it to your subsequent riders.

But without the shield, you might get infected by an +ve rider before drop off. And once you're infected, you can possibly, easily spread it to your riders.

What you shared is not an ongoing trip. You can still check the current price only when you have started the trip.
The app don't operate same way with Owerri and Lagos. Even Abj is different.
Before the lockdown, if you check price review while on a trip (for Owerri), the app will show you the estimated price. Unlike Lagos where it shows you the price for the distance and time covered as the trip is going.

Lagos morning bonus was 1.2k for 4trips before 9am.
Owerri was #800 for 5trips before 9am.
