You can only know that when the states open for nomination and they release their nomination requirements for the year.
This changes every year.
So your best bet is to monitor the state migration websites and sign up for their newsletter too.
Thanks..does it mean one can submit EOI now or wait until states open up criteria and relevant requirements?

No, as You will probably still be required to do the necessary Australia Auditor accreditation(s) to be certified/recognised and Work as internal Auditor in Australia.

Like i said earlier, the PR visa gives you "unlimited working and residency rights in Australia".
You can do any job and have more than one job. you could even get a job as an Eletrical Engineer Quality Inspector .
you can save and raise the money/funds to do the necesary accreditation to be recognised as a pracitising internal auditor in Australia.
Upon which you can look for jobs/roles in Internal Auditor roles.

And for when you pass the Engineers Australia assessment and get the PR visa, target state government jobs. Pay is not bad and you have soooooo much time to yourself, with flex working conditions and WFH arrangements.
The road to Jerusalem is not necessarily a straight road.

Please check the requirements below for Migration Skill Assessment with Engineers Australia.
https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/2022-07/prepare-your-migration-skills-assessment-application-july2022_0.pdf

You will need your transcripts, education qualifications, IELTS, Tax receipts and Employment letter and Refeence letter as Technical Audior/Quality Inspector in the Power Sector and then you can claim this work experience as an Engineer. Of course you wil need to re-edit your CV to engineering based experience. However should you have several managerial experience, kindly add it even though it is not engineering related.

Please read up on the https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/migrants/migration-skills-assessment. It is about you, and not about COREN and NSE.
Kindly familiarise yourself with the Engineers Australia Migration Skill Assessment requirements.

My humble 2 cents.
What is the essence of Skills assessment without accessing experience for a Skilled migration ??..all the CDR process for Engineering Technologist... you are obviously less attractive if you do am Expression of Interest with no experience....who is going to invite you.. I am just curious

I just purchased this gate from a young man in Ebonyi at 400k. If you are in the southeast, especially Enugu and Ebonyi and need to purchase a gate, I am marketing for him and I would like you to purchase from him or ask him to construct for you. He impressed me with his sincerity and promptness. Even though I was not around, my gate was delivered in one piece and promptly.
Looks like a pretty solid gate at that price...

No you will not be assessed under Washington accord.

Nigeria Engineering education is not under Washington Accord.
https://www.internationalengineeringalliance.org/accords/washington/signatories
It is sadly under Sydney Accord.

Yes, you will need to 3 CDRs Reports and other documentation for Migration skill assessment by Engineers Australia for a result of Professional Engineer.

Mate, you need to get an official reference letter with the company letterhead.

Yes If your supervisor writes the letter, it must come with the company's letter head
Yes, stamp your student transcript in court before forwarding to them. It will help to avoid any doubt.
Transcripts are mostly sent directly to institutions intended...How do you get the Transcript to stamp it at the court...

Thanks for sharing. I love this guy work, he invest in tools that most Naija technician wont buy to make their job easier. Its annoying seeing many of these guys struggling with outdated tools, spending hours in a job that ordinarily should take them minutes. The funny thing about them, even after making money that should be invest in tools for the next job, they will rather invest it in a bank that wont appreciate their investment if you know what I mean
Agree 💯 ...Right tools enhances efficiency......I always talk about the 3Es .

Effectiveness is doing "the right" things, for example setting right targets to achieve an overall goal (the effect).

Efficacy is getting things done. It is the ability to produce a desired amount of the desired effect, or success in achieving a given goal.

Efficiency is doing things in the most economical way. It is the ratio of the output to the inputs of any system (good input to output ratio).

I came upon this post and it makes me kinda sad. Whoever posted this has obviously been duped by quarks and he is now projecting his experience everywhere. Before I proceed let it be known that I am not an installer neither do I do solar installation commercially.. I don't take jobs so I am not here for business. I am here just to share my experience on the viability of solar as an alternative and how economical it is.

Who am I, and what are my creds. I am an off-grid solar enthusiast and someone who have been using solar since 2016.. I have been completely off the nigerian grid since 2018 and I continue to live off-grid today. I setup my own system DIY and I also contribute a lot in terms of advocacy education and enlightenment on how we can improve the general standard and quality of installation and solar equipment available in Nigeria.

I run a Telegram group called "DIY Solar Nigeria" which has grown to over 6000 members. The group is focused on sharing experience and peer to peer support for Nigerians into solar or about to get into solar. We educate ourselves on best practices, resolve issues, share information on authorized dealers on solar product etc.

Like I said currently power my house completely on solar. I have a 10kW solar array, 10kva inverter and a 28kWh Lithium battery.

This system powers everything in the house. including 2 AC (1 can run for 12 hours and the other can run 24 hours) I also have vaccum, air fryer, 250 liter freezer 220 liter fridge (both of which are always run), I have a 1.5hp water pump, microwave and a home computer lab with over 15 mostly low power computers including a home automation cctv and media system + 2 65 inch TV and a host of other home appliances.

I have been growing my system little by little since 2016.. you can check my post history.

So yes, with the current state of things as at 2025, you can have a solar setup that would power all your house needs at least have 1 or 2 ACs especially if their are inverter ACs,

The biggest challenge is finding a competent installer who would do a competent system for you.

The hardest part of solar is design (it is not different from construction in that regards) once you start with a good design to match usage.. then you are off to a good start.

Here are some solar schematics I have worked on which you can use as reference for your own setup

Oga solar
Although I call it Oga solar, this is actually a slightly above mid sized system which should power 1 inverter AC run at least 12 hours a day especially when used with grid. It would be a very good generator replacement. I have indicated the average power that can be put on such a system in a daily basis. https://solarplan-l.openculture.org.ng/?ref=blog.openculture.org.ng

hansolo design is a more scaled down version oga solar and it is ideal for small house hold say 2 bed room apartment but can power 1 inverter AC over night https://solarplan-m.openculture.org.ng/?ref=blog.openculture.org.ng

here is a video were I installed a solar setup from scratch using the hansolo design.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blDPy4pUPYY

Again I did not come here to promote any business and I don't take jobs. I came to share my own experience on solar and dispel FUDs about solar.

https://solarplan-l.openculture.org.ng/?ref=blog.openculture.org.ng
There is something with not knowing something and being open to LEARN or atleast update the little experience ..

I do enjoy reading your DIY projects....same on twitter...sharing knowledge for free.... you are awesome 👌 and Thank you...

He meant that one can book one section of the IELTS especially where you got 7,5 to in order to get 8....if you have 8 in all four section that is 20points.

But the problem is you can only book this within 60 days of the first examination. Read more here

So you can see the difficulty in recruiting a skilled carpenter and joiner to do a very basic woodworking job. Then people turn around and say there's unemployment in Nigeria. The fact is what Nigeria is experiencing is structural unemployment. Over the years, there has not been the needed training in vocational qualifications and apprenticeships. Apart from the Ibo nation to a large extent, apprenticeship training is dead in Nigeria. Youths and school leavers no longer "learn work". Before, they go into keke business, now is skits and content creators.

Enough of tertiary qualifications as there is a glut. So so paper qualifications, not enough skills acquisition.
You captured everything succinct...not long ago i was invited to speak to youths in my village about self sufficiency and helping oneself...many of these people are complaining diasporans AIN'T HELPING THEM.(everyone get their own problem)I asked them " How many have learnt trades like block making or painting even Masonry or even Carpentery, plumbing and require a equipment to start ...NONE ...MANY want cash to do one business or the other or keke or keke bus or even Japa without a plan.

Good day Thanks for your reply.
I am a bit confused.
This was your initial post

So he has
1. a positive assessment from Engneers Australia as Engineering Technologist with relevant Expereince for ICT Engineering.
2. However he will not be getting any point for Relevant Employemnet as his EA assessment was without relevant experience assessment.
3. For his age, I think he needs points for Relevant experience assessment.
3. he has Proficient English Test Report for himself and competent English Test Report for his Wife.
4. This comes to about 60 points. He needs to improve on the points
5. If the points was way more than 60 points, I would have advised for EOI directly but alas he needs to improve his points standing. After going through your reply where he worked as a foreman, he should not have gone through Engineers Australia.
6. seems he might need to spend again on relevant skilled assessment.

Could he try the following
1. ANZSCO Code: 139914/ Quality Assurance Manager.
2. ANZSCO Code: 133512/Production Manager.

Assessing Authority is VETASSESS.
https://www.vetassess.com.au/check-my-occupation/construction-and-manufacturing

My humble 2 cents.
Thank you for your comments..my understanding is that skill assessment using experience through
VETASSESS are based on your current experience....it needs securing reference letters and salary slip and would have been impossible for production manager or quality assurance manager...ones he considered closer was ANZSCO Code: 312911 maintenance planner ...Process Engineer (Industrial) 233511 Industrial Engineer and 233513 Production or Plant Engineer ...Those Indian migration experts on Facebook convinced him Engineering Technologist has better chance than those....

Any roofing tiles company that imports and does steel rolling and bending of ridges is not just an importer but a metal fabrication company. Such business is not a #1b business. They don’t have time for small users. They are different from those importers at the open market like Orile cooker where you can just go and pick and already made size they have.
There are different levels to this things. An average DIY builder or an importer cannot bent ridges. They don’t have the machine and technological know to do so. There own is just buying and selling. The best they will have is an already made one not customized to the specific roof. Na there leaking wahala they take start.
As big asTower aluminium or any of their subsidiaries....ASABA.BAC,PGN ,MIDGAL..etc...you can walk in and ask for measurements and buy your roofing materials....

What's the thickness of the roofing sheet? - if it's less than 0.5mm, then i'll advice you go for Nigerite Litespan.

i.e my 1st choice would be a 0.55mm thick Aluminium roofing sheet, then a 0.5mm thick and then the Nigerite slate. (0.45mm is not advisable now because the thickness are not complete as it used to be before now)

cc: timilehing
Is this a fact ?my contact at Best Aluminium says atleast for them even their other competitors First Aluminum and Firtst Express don't have any problem with thickness. Metcoppo had design flaw coupled with poor currugators + handling that cause it break even before installing...

Other than that 0,45 very suitable guage for any roof not flat... I guess one who is buying roofing sheets should ensure they buy from reputable companies same way we rods...
