Bimffo:Your first sentence is a lie. There is no absolute in this world. There are very different levels indeed to theft. Indeed every single one of us have stolen something at one point in our lives. Be it meat from Mama's pot, be it our classmates pen and pencil in junior school, be it small change from mummy's purse to use and buy buns and sweet during break time, we've all been theives at various times, but what we haven't done is gone into a bank with guns and stolen money from vault or stopped travellers on a night bus and dispoossed them of their belongings or been like Darlington, dubiously emptying foreigners accounts. So again, "theives are not theives". They're is a variance. And there is no perfect political candidate in any part of the world. You make do with what is in front of you and you have to, because you cannot escape the consequences of their actions. They shape your society. I once gave an analogy here. Choosing a presidential candidate is like a bride choosing her husband. If you ask every single girl, what type of his husband she desires, she commonly list these qualities, tall, dark, handsome, rich, God-fearing, loving and compassionate. Except, it's almost an anomaly to see a person who would meet all those criteria she has listed out, and In a scenario where she has 3 viable choices for marriage, she has to sieve to know who amongst those 3 vaible choices possesses more of those qualities she has listed out. Putting Obi side by side with tinubu and atiku, one can clearly see the BETTER option. Healthy, intelligent, capable, humble, experienced and compassionate. These are qualities he possesses. More than other candidates. The only positive attribute tinubu currently has, is experience and that's simply just that. Something that Obi too has to an adequate and healthy degree. A deputy chairman of all Nigerian governors is no small feat., Apart from his experience of actual governance of course. It's foolhardy to say that one won't vote because "all are the same". That's cowardice and surrender laces with ignorance, I'm very sorry to say. |
Itsrm:Abeg no dey quote se.un for this place. Immediately he stepped foot into the Chelsea thread, he scattered that thread. Now na only trolling every single day there. No more diverse range of high quality arguments there. Just trolling trolling, non stop. |
Bimffo:God please help me to answer this post with great restraint no matter how mind numbing and disingenuous it is. Amen! I truly hate disingenuity when I see it, when someone sees color red and is purposefully calling it yellow. First of all, how on earth will a Nigerian in this country attempt to downplay the significance of an obi victory?? You mean that labor party, an insignificant party with no single elected politician in any single state, winning the presidency will not bear serious implications across the length and breathe of this country and even beyond the country? A campaign fuelled almost entirely by the youths? A campaign severely underfunded. A campaign that is barely 6 months old. You really want us here on this thread to believe that an obi victory is not much different from a tinubu victory?? YOU LIE! Then to the most egregious point of yours. Any body who attempts in anyway to compare the characters of tinubu and obi is just plain being evil, I'm sorry to say this. It's evil because the blind can see this. The deaf can hear this. You can see the that the vast difference in quality between both candidates lie in how their supporters sell them. Obi's supporters will tell you that this man, by Nigerian standards is practically a saint. No stories of inflated contracts, no stories of multiple salaries via ghost workers through state civil service, no stories of building substandard infrastructure in order for the state government to re-award that same project for themselves. No accusation of corrupt backroom dealings. The highest issue is that of ethics, investing state money in a company he has shares in, while the state reaps the benefit too. (Note this, the state's money was not misappropriated it didn't vanish into thin air like other states fund, it is still traceable, it is still accessible, NOT SPENT, it was literally being INVESTED, A move that bore significant gains for the state, That this is the only thread that can be pulled shows you just how clean this modern day Nigerin saint is. Now to compare this with a man who we don't even have the slightest idea about his first 3 decades on this earth! The first verifiable information we have is that this man dropped from the sky and entered a university in Chicago and was then involved in crimes and dealings of the underworld in his foreign country of residence. For God's sake, we are talking about electing a man with criminal affairs and documented criminal records as the head of this country.. Have some fvcking shame. You cannot, I repeat, YOU CANNOT compare Obi and tinubu as birds of same feather. That's just sacrilege of the highest order. So as I said earlier, how their supporters sell them makes the difference, Obi supporters tell you, this man is practically a saint going by African politicians standard, he is obviously better than other candidates. Tinubu supporters tell you, "all of them are the same". They can't dare say, my candidate is better than yours morally, so they try to robe them in the same garments. They insist, they're all birds of a feather. Talking about decamping. This is another disingenuous narrative. In Nigeria, we have politicians who change parties to go to a better party for personal selfish gains. Maybe they lose a primary for a hot seat and then decide to go to a better party that favors them. NOT OBI! Obi was not seeking any public office when he left apga, Jonathan basically lobbied very hard for Obi to come to PDP and after Obi ensured a smooth primary in apga gubernatorials , he left. Not under acrimonious terms. Jonathan IMMEDIATELY appointed him head of SEC and a key member of the presidential economic management team together with Ngozi okonjo. A position where he rejected the perks of government appointment and fat bonuses. This man is practically a saint I need remind you. As for leaving PDP, yes he left, but to where?? Was it not on this page where people were mocking such a "foolish" move? I remember donstan in his favorite childish manner, bellowing that Obi would fade into obscurity, I remember even blueray downright criticizing the move, calling him a political neophyte that has effectively ended his political career. So how come now that he has built a gigantic movement and gained frontrunner status with such an insignificant party, he is now being labelled a betrayer? DISINGENUOUS, my friend. |
Bimffo:This message is neither here nor there. When people support a candidate, they don't just support that person but basically what the person's CANDIDACY represents.. and believe you me, that can be a wide disparity. Trump and Biden can on the surface be just 2 old white dudes who most likely might have even had favorable dealings in the past. Trump even attended Bidens children marriage. But what their presidency REPRESENTS is totally different, hence the bitter divide between the masses. A trump presidency is a nightmare for liberals and a Biden presidency is a nightmare for conservatives. Bringing that analogy closer to home, Peter obi and tinubu might have been cordial friends before or even now, who knows. But one thing is sure, their CANDIDACY represents 2 totally different things. And it is what they represent that people support vociferously for. A tinubu candidacy is basically an enshrinement of the terrible status quo that has brought Nigeria to it's knees. A signaling of the continuation of the present downward trajectory Nigeria is currently on. While an obi presidency represents an immense thunderous shake up of the entire political space and consciousness of this country and even beyond it's borders. I've asked people to just think for a second what truly happens when obi actually wins this election. Like take a moment to breath in and imagine the scenario where obi has 17 million votes from around the country. Think of the implications of such a victory. Tell me that this country and Africa will not shake! Imagine the headlines! IMAGINE THE HEADLINES! That dream is exactly what motivates us and leads us to be very passionate in our defense and quick to take down the detractors of such dreams. They simply appear as enemies of progress. Surely you can make that distinction. |
Bimffo:Yeah it was really massive. This his concept of meeting the voters right there at the street is a genius move. From airport to the stadium, the whole thing was like a carnival. With convoy of supporters following all the way. This man has reinvented campaigning I tell u. ![]()

Abeg make una follow me shout ami oo. ![]()

Tinubu using Lagos state money to bribe voters via sanwo olu.
|
But I agree with this man, obi has to face this head on. No more gentlemanlyness here.
|
So tinubu unleashed his attack dogs to impede this movement. ![]() E don dey clear for him eye ba? Don't worry, we will come out enmasse for our candidate. Nothing in this world will stop this movement that has offered us hope. Light will prevail at the end of the day. If e like send the Jagaban army of agberos. He will lose Lagos! afrodoc2:Doc this could be interpreted as a mockery to we the obi supporters who believe that Nigeria can still be salvaged and have not lost all hope. I think it's a bit unnecessary. My 2 cents. |
Street poll in ogun state. Some answers here are just too funny. I don laugh tire. ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpSAZSmPll8 |
Another one!!!

Senator shehu confirming what we've been saying since. This new found "sympathy" for suffering by BATstards is entirely farcical at best. They know what this policy does to their candidate. That's the only reason for their outcry, not the inconveniences of the masses.. If not, they won't be telling these same people suffering to still go and vote for a much worse candidate than buhari.
|
Cc disstroy izzuo, blueraydick. ![]() lhordspy: |
Spy360:Omo, this your vawulence dey do better press up. fire on! ![]() |
Ellexy: chai!!Truly sooo much has been uncovered this election season.. Like, things we never expected from certain people have been brought to the fore. Let's see what happens post election. |
A001:So how exactly do they define themselves? One is either believe in or does not believe in a dirty OR is indifferent, which is agnosticism. So where do you classify these people in the bolded? |
I don't know the veracity of this information, but if it's true then 2baba has really disappointed all of us, the sensible youths who were eagerly following him 8n the previous years when he was shouting about misgovernance. Many celebrities now, when election has come and gone will start forming online activitism and lamenting about Nigeria's poor leadership, now that a genuinely rare opportunity has arrived for the masses to send a message to the Political elite in this country, using obi's candidacy as a medium, they are now silent.. I expect that by these time next year, they will start their usual lamentations of poor government but God pass them, we would vote Obi enmasse and he would win and our political landscape will change forever for the better. |
CrystalTiger:Hehehe, dem don carry Tinubu handicap for Delta state. ![]() |
OasisX:Try to search sun News paper online news of yesterday and read what Adebanjo said about Tinubu's chances, especially in South West. |
From ancestor to another ancestor. Because na only nigeria them swear for. ![]() |

Foreign media knows whatsup. Foreign investors are just waiting on the sidelines for this breath of fresh air to be unleashed.
