I feel the real reason for all your fears is because of the end. While you were young, did you not wish you were older so you can do things adults do.

Nigeria is operating it's affairs just like a lawless state. How on earth can a man run into a police station for succour, and the police couldn't control the situation.
As a matter of reality, our law enforcement agencies have failed the country & successive governments have not done anything significant to improve the situation.

Either they are re-orientated or not, if security agencies do not wake up and take charge, this problem will continue but for now, I'll advice non-northerners to stay clear of the north if they can.
