But check verse 37 of that same Mathew 24,

The rapture described in verses 40-41 was caused by verses 37

The rapture in verses 40 & 41 is caused by the COMING OF THE SON OF MAN.
Without Jesus apperance, there can be no rapture!

As also described in Thessalonians 4:16,

"16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Without Jesus apperance, there can be no rapture!
