I don't know of other years but in 2019, uniport allowed second choice to sit for post utme but said they must change to first choice to be considered for admission, I don't know if they will follow same patter next year. Confirm via their website https://www.uniport.edu.ng/news/latestnews/1488-putme2019-2.html
that's new... thanks for the info

.... As per 2nd choice school, hardly a federal University accept 2nd choice, Uniport, EBSU, ESUT and some other state schools allow second choice to sit for their post UTME but must change to first choice to be offered admission. EBSU don't do post UTME, and state schools are expensive.
My advise, focus on your first choice.
Uniport doesn't allow second choice to sit for post utme

the bolded is just the truth, second choice option is a scam

Medicos in the house I greet u all.

A friend of mine just gained admission to study medicine in a state university, she told me it was mainly through connection as she didn't beat the cutoff.she had 255 in jamb but I dunno about her postutme score, just that she didn't beat cutoff.
Problem is that she told me she's scared because of the fact that she didn't make it on merit, because we all know how hard med school is,she feels she's not intelligent enough to study medicine, but she has passion for it and that's what she really wants to study.she feels that people who get 280+ in jamb are the ones smart enough to study medicine

Please any advice for her?
First of all, congrats to her, it's not easy irrespective of how she got in.

Secondly, It's good she's evaluating herself and all. Truth is, this a clean slate for every single one of them. Past glory like jamb scores no longer counts, what does is how hard everyone works in the coming days. And UTME has never been a true test of knowledge or ability, in fact it's doesn't count for anything in med school.

Thirdly, she should forgo the thought that she isn't good enough. Sure, she didn't get in by merit, but this is an opportunity to prove her worth, not to anyone else but to herself, that she can be a great doctor.

Finally and most importantly, med school has never been about brilliance. Sure, a high IQ is a plus but there's so much more. Med school is a lot of hard work and even more smart work. If you slack for a minute, irrespective of how brilliant you are, the hammer would fall on you. So she should work her hardest, because that's what everyone here does, both the highest jamb scores and the lowest, everyone works hard.

She'll be fine provided she knows why she's there and doesn't quit because her score isn't as fancy as the rest, but if truly she feels she isn't up to the task(because it's daunting as hell), she'd be better finding passion somewhere else. Failing out of med school is a huge emotional expense people hardly recover from. she had better be in it to ace it or not be in it at all

Suppose a student used a state of origin certificate other than his real state of origin to gain admission, in order to benefit from the low school fee the indigenes pay, can it be used to expel the student?
If caught, the student wouldn't only lose the admission, he would lose the certificate if the said student has graduated.

Falsification of documents, renders any certificate acquired using the falsified documents void.

The student just shouldn't get caught
