If you don't mind, why will you go for UI and not Unilag? Because I used to hear about UI Post Utme and if perhaps one doesn't meet his course cut off mark, they won't give him any other course. Are you in UI? Don't mind my too much questions.

Both schools are equally good and equally competitive...... I'd pick UI, just for the name it has when medicine is mentioned in Nigeria

I'm from Ogun State which I believe should be among the catchment areas of Unilag and I don't think UI use catchment area of a thing in giving admission. Considering the admission process rigorousity, easy to get admission and other factors of both schools, which will you go for?

Just putting the records straight. Asides theory, many are lacking practically. Not a fault of the students, but fault of the system. When no machines to work with, you improvise and endager patients lives. Many consultants would tell u not to take them to a teaching hospital if they fall sick.

The instruction was to reject for those not interested, basic and certificate candidates are being uploaded to CAPS currently, the challenge is that some of them have refused to upload their o level in CAPS and as a result cannot be processed.

The duration for rejection has ended.

Guys, help me thank God OOOOOO... The Master Physician has done it for me. I have been admitted to study Medicine and Surgery at the prestigious University of Benin. After 3 yrs, the Lord finally did it.. Chai, from Uniben to Unilag and finally back to Uniben..Right now, I'm just simply the happiest guy on planet Earth. I thank God for not allowing the waited years to be wasted years.
To my Ogas in the house, U guys have been of immense inspiration to us , believe it or not. After reading from the beginning of this thread, I had enough inspiration and believed I could succeed.. to the other aspirants ,pls do not give up, the Lord will do yours IJMN..
I just thank God for breaking 3 yrs of academic stagnation in my life. My status has changed from med aspirant to med student. I give God all the glory.

I have gone through this thread from the very first page to the last and I must say that I am inspired by you guys. @ Donpre, @ Blm12, @ Sarsay, @ Standeshakon , @ Victor12356, @ Brukx.

I wasn't so lucky last year but I pray for better luck this time. I scored 331 in Jamb and 272 in the post Utme. (Medicine)

I would also like to commend Sir Otokx for his patience and good work so far in assisting prospective students. You are a good man sir. God bless you.

Bro, u're just like my biggest inspiration, i had to spend a whole night going tru every of your comments here on NL(sorry about that), ur consistency and doggedness really moved me to try medicine just one more time after two previously failed attempts.. I learnt u moved from NDU to uniport to uniport again before u got what you wanted...i really wanted to score exactly what you scored last year 320 and 280 jamb and post ume respectively.. I was really sad when i couldn't meet your jamb score, but Thank God i successfully leap frog ur post utme score with just a couple of marks(lol, but nah u still get am for aggregate)..

I don comot my mind from merit list, i just hope 2nd or 3rd list favour me.

O level requirements are stated in the Jamb brochure, going from the advert, calculators should not be allowed, there is normally a computer app on the CBT laptop you can use.

, the likes of Dr Paul and Dr Okoh are the main anatomy lecturers..

they give u last anatomy back to back..
its like an error that u dont have last anatomy..

then

get one Indian series
e.g charausia or vinshram signh(not indebirgh singn o) for quick review arrangements wen the things wanna be getting somehow rough some days to exams..

attend class nd copy note..

Physiology.. ur sembulingam and guyton is enough but u ll need ganong(soft copy is OK) for ur CVS and neurophysiology in 2nd semester..


BCH... any of the good books u like..(chatterjea, vasudevan, harpers) u ll b fine...


form a reading group of 4 . make sure there is a female among the 4.. Females are life savers in forming note. u photocopy..
