Akiliogidi: Bro thanks, but why the first one? when I checked the cache memory , it is in kilobytes & I read here on nairaland that any processor with less than 2 MB cache memory is a no no
Modified : below is a screenshot from Desyner about cache memory Okay, here why. AMD processor weren't as good as Intel's back in the day(A-series), not that they don't work but compared to similar Intel, they were below par and some people say they overheat. This changed when AMD came with their ryzen processors. The Ryzen 3000 and 4000 series (just came out) are better than Intel processors and are cheaper and comes with better integrated GPU, basically a flawless victory. So unless you're buying a Ryzen(3xxx or 4xxx), getting a 6th gen+ Intel core i5 is a better choice. Regarding cache, I doubt you're getting the cache value correctly. Post the exact name of the CPU, lemme check out the cache size myself. A core i5 7th gen shouldn't be any problem at all, even the least one. As a side note, getting an SSD hard drive, even if it's 256gb is better than a 1TB HDD drive. it'll speed up development and running applications. So get an SDD option instead of a HDD #My2cents |

Akiliogidi: Good day bro, abeg what is ur take on these 2 laptops below for programming? can u recommend the best for me between them? ..
(1) Hp 17 Corei5 7th Generation 1TB HDD 8GB RAM Windows 10 although the cache is in kilobytes..
....&...
(2)Hp pavilion 17 AMD A10 1TB HDD 8GB RAM Windows 10
I have checked the specs but me sef confuse, corei5's cache memory is in kilobytes , while the pavilion runs an AMD processor( read in the past where some gurus here said " run from anything AMD) Go for the first one |

Programming › Re: For Django Developer by Donpre(m): 9:19am On Jul 14, 2020 |
Taofeekdboy: The reason why I said that was because Vue is easier to learn and can integrate easily, for beginners, you will always go for easier method right . I learnt React first, moving to Vue was so super easy that it didn't take me like 3 days to grab everything in Vue. React has a steep learning curve compared to Vue because of its lifecycle can sometimes f*ck with your head, props and all that, but when you are comfortable with it, you won't leave it for other frameworks.
Back to your question, You can integrate both Vue and React in django template directly but I won't advise you to do so because it will get messier as you are writing a lot of code, the best thing is build a Restful API and let your frontend consume the API, you can do whatever you want with it in the frontend. So I build API with DRF and my React app consume the API, making calls, getting data, posting data, deleting data, patching data, updating and so on.. Thanks |
Programming › Re: For Django Developer by Donpre(m): 12:57am On Jul 14, 2020 |
Taofeekdboy: Have worked with Vue-Django and React-Django but I prefer React-Django because React is easy to setup with Django both in development and production. As a newbie, I will advise you to go for Vue as your first javascript framework as it is easy to learn and simple to integrate with any backend language. Django-React community is more accessible than Vue-Django. It's funny how you painted React in such bright only to recommend Vue at the end Another question tho, I know I'm getting ahead of myself here but is Vue/React integrated into the django template or you build API with DRF and make calls to that instead? |

Taofeekdboy: As in, they are made for each other, I enjoy using Django with React a lot.. I've been hearing this talk and I don't quite understand how Django and React are soulmates. Also, how does a Vue-Django combo compare against a React-Django combo #Newbie |

Lexusgs430: I love your honesty, at least we can blame the water this time and not Umidigi........
The fingerprint area is not water resistant, so it's likely water could have sipped through, and destroyed that sector....
I would advice turning it off, place in a moisture soaker for about 7 days..... Hopefully, the damage is not extensive.....
OR
Open device up and inspect section.......... my device is 10 months old and I never had a problem with it. Clearly not Umidigi's fault. I guess I'll have to make do without a fingerprint sensor. thanks! |

I've been away for a while now so I don't know if this has happened before. well my A3 pro fingerprint sensor stopped working today after I discoveres a bit of water in the pouch which of course I immediately cleaned it off, but apparently the damage has been done.
I'm just asking if anyone has gone through same scenario of fingerprint sensor not working. Did it later start working or is this the end? |

DrImmaculate: Big congratulations to you bro... I wish to congratulate everyone who has been admitted into MBBS/BDS most especially DrAuthentic, Horpeyemi, Acecube et al.. you guys won the good fight of faith. I wish u all a safe flight through med sch.....
OK.... with 100l done and dusted, and preclinicals in sight, guys I need your help... confused on the texts to use for MB... pls u guys should recommend straight and concise texts for anatomy, physiology and biochemistry for a beginner like me... also don't know which is better:
Anatomy: Keith Moore vs Last vs Greys Physiology: Guyton vs Ganong vs Sembulingam Biochemistry: Vasudevan vs chatterjea Histology: Junqueira vs Vasudevan vs Wheaters
PS: I'm the type that don't really like voluminous books cos I like repetitive reading.... Thanks In anticipation, your boy is ever loyal.. okay here are my recommendations Anatomy: Read Gray's at first, then switch to vishram later on when you start understanding anatomy Physiology: I would always recommend sembumlingam and Guyton combo for a start... later on for CVS, GIT and other systems, Linda Constanzo physiology(Simple, concise yet stuffy and easy to repeat multiple times). you can combine with Ganong for extra stuff Sembumlingam is very useful when preparing for essay exams. Biochemistry: Essentials by Naik, sometimes I play around with chatterjea and Vasudevan but Essentials remains my default Histo: Junqueria, then BRS afterwards(BRS is 400pages of just bullet points, currently revising Histo with it and it's been just pure joy) Embryo: vishram singh embryology Las Las I would say you speak to senior colleagues in your school and hear what your lecturers use. Also, my recommendations might not work for you, so experiment with those books yourself, you won't get past chapter 1 before saying "Hell no, this is not for me" Good luck and Godspeed |
