it does... also pin and password locks are available

it doesn't close all apps at once, you gotta swipe or tap the "X" on top of the app you wanna close

Yah... the sad part is the fact that M3 mini doesn't have an international name like the P2m, if they did, we'd have allview, Walton, gionee, blu etc devs porting recoveries and awesome ROMs.... but then nothing spoil, we go survive

please use the word "murder" next time... The only GPU that can come close, is the Mali 450MP which is the predecessor of the ARM's new GPU the Mali T720(m3 mini's GPU)

when using 64bit the lower the ram the lower the performed 64 is better on 2gig+ ram phone just like on PC 32 bit performs fastest on 2gig ram system than 64bit I read this on a PC gaming site

dude... Android is still 32bits, only a little part of its source code was written to test 64bits computing

if Android become fully 64bits then 1gb RAM would be crap... it also means L5's 32bit CPU wouldn't be able to run it... so the MT67xx 64bits architecture will not affect multitasking cus Android doesn't use it fully yet

infact, ah give up... people should buy what ever they like, its kinda wasteful/frustrating explaining same sh!! t over and over

on a serious note, if you mean the "app drawer" (a grid arrangement of all your apps), then the default carefree launcher doesn't have it

download and install nova launcher or any other launcher you prefer using, go to system manger => app manger => default app settings then change default launcher to the launcher you installed

The only way to get those files is if the phone is rooted. The only other possible method is through spflashtool readback.

that's what we're tryna do, get TWRP(also a recovery like CWM) then flash SuperSU binary via it... but we need the recovery.img, boot.img and Scatter file

whilst still working on a way to get this phone rooted

I actually discovered something new today, it seems to only work when DTS is ON and only appears when you don't have an earpiece plugged in

check it out... it called volume strengthening

maybe its your OS version, win10 or 8 doesn't work well with most apps, 7 and XP are the best... Or maybe you were using mt65xx drivers which won't work cus you're using a mt67xx device

Calling all M3 mini users!... Assemble!

since kingroot is yet to look our side(though I haven't tried it recently)... I decided to check on Hovateck who seems to be busy porting TWRP for Newer device like the Zero 3 and L5... He said he actually needed some files from the M3 mini(which he can't lay hands on at the moment)... if we can upload the files for him, he did get us TWRP in a no distant time

Problem
My PC decided to visit her ancestors recently, as such I can't get the files myself

Solution
Anybody with a PC can get the files, it wouldn't harm or destroy your device

well he needs the recovery.img, boot.IMG and scatter file... though its been long since I ported a ROM and messed around with android source files but I think a nandroid backup with MTK droid tools normally contains all three files along side a lot of other files like data, system etc.

so anyone one with a PC, should volunteer to help, I think I can guide you through the process

I have an extension box I normally use plugged from the wall socket.

Okay, I can't guarantee this would work tho

Drain the battery to anything below 10%

switch off mobile phone

charge for 4-5hrs straight(even if its filled or doesn't increase leave it)

unplugged charger, then switch ON

Note: Draining your battery less than 15% often is harmful, try to recharge once battery is lower than 40%... only drain to less than 15% and charge till filled one/twice a month(its called healthy charge but can't be harmful when overdone)

like I said at the beginning, I'm no engineer, probability of this helping you is "inconclusive"... but if it does, drop a thing or 2 in the hands of that street begger... he deserves a great Christmas too

M5 mini is kinda a holy grail quest.... nobody is sure if it'd be released or not, only speculations at the moment... though some say gionee Nigeria said something on their Facebook page... some say M5 lite is the supposed m5 mini

seriously i'm clueless about the M5mini... gotta go face m3 mini major problem now*root*, seems we might have a break through

actually I didn't regret getting the phone at any point because I wasn't really concerned about the camera. it was still good irrespective just the colour, but now I'm more impressed.

I need the help of anybody here.I bought Gionee M2 mini this week and before using it, I charged the battery fully and used the phone until the battery was flat.
When I was to charge,it started from 1% but did not move higher than that.Immediately I put it on, it increased to 45% back to 42% then to 50% and back to 49% while charging.I bought the phone in Ibadan but stayed in Abeokuta.
Is there anyway, I can solve this problem. I need a solution to this,please since it is a new phone.

firstly answers the questions with as much details as possible

*are you using the original charger?

*what's your power source? PHCN or GEN... if Gen, what's the power? 2700, 2900 etc

*have you tried using another wall socket, apart from the one you're currently using

Bt 1.0ghz clock speed Isn't it poor compared 2 d 1.3ghz found on d l5 Plz, 4get abt d gpu nd chipset, i just wanna knw, cos i'm considering replacing my beloved h6 with d m3m due it's high ba3 capacity and oda superior specs especially d mali 720gpu. Bt d 1.0ghz clock speed in d m3m is just creating doubts in my heart..

dude you can't compare an Arm cortex A7 CPU to Arm Cortex A53 CPU... 0.3Ghz difference in clockwise isn't worth it... All flagship device this year are all using big.Little or Big.little combination of A53, A57 and A72 processors, A7 and A8 are now old
(2 year old actually)

its like leaving a 2.7ghz Intel i7 for a 3.0ghz Intel core II CPU, That's absurd!!!... though clockspeed is important, but a 1.0ghz MT67xx processor would always out perform a 1.3ghz MT65xx processor anytime, anywhere... Talking form a tech guru point of view

BTW, if you want a heater for a device, get any MT65xx processor device... Cortex A53 was designed to use less power without heating up
