This remind of my days in Federal polytechnic Offa, During one of our Aluta in
2004, we marched enmass to the the Rector's office, Dr Razak Bello then, He came out and addressed us, having exhaust all our agenda, we requested that in his capacity, he should try to help us fight the Dichotomy between Bsc and HND, his reply was what led me to go to University. he says '' even at the entry level, Polytechnic requests for 4 O'level Credit while University requests for 5 O'level Credit '' since that day, i had already made up my mind for varsity education, which i eventually did.

This bill is long overdue and is a welcome development, Because of the scarcity of varsity admission which has been prompting most students to opt for Polytechnic education, all of us cannot go to University.

The bitter truth is that, the compliance level will be very low, though in Public Sector they will comply, but i can tell you ahead of time that in private sector, the discrimination continues, most especially the multinational companies, like Big 4, we have in accounting. the likes of PWC, KPMG, Ernest & Young and Delliotte.

You have not done justice to yourself and your education .

What I expected you to put up there was the difference between the knowledge module you received in the Polytechnic and the knowledge module you received in the University and how both knowledge module has impacted your Reasonability.......

I was also a product of Offa Poly and also a Unilorite ....

Infact the academic environment, quality of students and relationship and quality of education differs as well as the curriculum (Module of Knowledge)

University impacted more advanced on my knowledge module than Polytechnic....

The dichotomy was not just established For fallacy , there is an academic gap !

HND/OND is just a way of Formalising the education of Road side technologists and Technical people ........

But when Polytechnic started offering humanitarian and social/management science courses such as Accounting, Economics , Biz Admin, Finance, etc Linguistics, and many just to generate revenue.... That's Nigerian way of bastardising the Nigerian Educational System...

We have very long way to go as a Nation and as a People .... if at the Senate (Highest Decision Making Organ of Nigerian People) B.sc is being Equalled to HND ?

Polytechnic is a Technical School .....

Elevate Polytechnic to University and close chapter... scrap HND ....

I will propose that all Technical Students in Universities should be allowed to initially enrolled in Polytechnic for 3years then Spend 3 years in Universities for complete Grasp of both Technical and Conceptual frameworks underpinning their studies !!

—Nigeria military is currently weak and have been fighting on all fronts. Bandits, Boko Haram, Unknown Gunmen, and etc.

—Nnamdi Kanu already took the step of making it red in the SE, thinking the FG will come and bargain and he can hold them down by burning everything down.

—While that approach may be good, it is not foolproof.
Firstly, the SE as a region is not that important to Nigeria revenue and that’s a fact. The SS have the crude oil installations and if they start blowing pipes and burning everything down, the FG won’t have a choice than to come to bargain.
Secondly, Lagos is another revenue source for Nigeria and the seaports and taxes is a big source to the FG including that Ogun border. If the Yorubas start blowing up the seaports and Lagos airports in uprisings, the FG will come to bargain.

—Also the FG cannot fight a combined South and win easily so they are being careful. That is exactly why they won’t invade Yorubaland when Igboho did Oduduwa rallies coupled with the fact that our governors still have some leadership in them compared to the SE governors.

—Hence based on the above, without the necessary alliance from both the South South militants and the Yoruba extreme radicals, Nnamdi Kanu approach will only bring killings without path to success because SE going up in flames doesn’t affect Nigeria revenue and business can still continue. FG can kill thousands with back and forth win and loses on both side but status quo will still remain. Just count the number of casualties on both side since these UGM started and those deaths we don’t even hear of online.

—I think Kanu also know of the need for this alliance which explained why he has been courting the Oduduwa agitators and looking for Yoruba friendship.

—Also SE governor are useless and have projected themselves as powerless in all this. They don’t have enough courage to tell the FG to stop and don’t have the popularity to weaken Keanu’s influence too so they just left everything to fate.

—Now this is what is still sketchy, can Sunday Igboho heed the call and go militant like ESN? Will he be able to pull that stunt among the Yorubas that are not dogmatic?
