We are all getting something wrong here. Either the interviewer or applicant, we are all human. What if it was the interviewer that was wrong and the applicant told him to Bleep-off out of anger? What if the applicant is a seasoned professional who can't be easily pushed away? What if the company desperately needs the services of the applicant. Let's not be too 'african' and see life from the other angle. Just as the saying goes " some people sees a half-empty cup while others sees a half-full cup". Its not over for the applicant and his destiny doesn't lie with the interviewer! Thanks all. |

Drabeey:Having a dog is not western. Our forefathers used dogs for lots of reason, hunting, herding, guard and for deity worshiping. I have a dog, she can't even break an egg.. She's what we call a pet dog 'Samoyed'. Funny thing she can't sleep without human by her side. And runs away at the sight of strangers... She doesn't eat anyhow food, not to talk of raw meat or human meat sef. I'm sure they have the sign that the dog is becoming paranoid and they didn't act. The house-help was supposed to pick the child and run and not to abandon her.

buygala:Anytime you make a comment on such sensitive issue, please always end it with 'my opinion though'. You really made interesting contributions about the pastor and all the rest, but there's something you missed here. Its called human heart! You can never predict or assume what a person will be from one act except many acts. And people do change of course. She has soiled that relationship, there might not be trust in it any more, but if I should give my opinion, I would say the OP should forgive and move on. He should let the positive side of the woman out-weigh the lie she just told. And mind you, if I were in her situation I would tell such lie to survive. This life is all about survival. Do what you have to do to have a reasonable time here on earth. Well, I would suggest the issue of baby mama since you don't want to adopt. She will be so happy to be the mother of that child. In that instance, the tension dies and they both win. Thanks |
I will never walk alone. Will have to join chelshit under the table! |
donshaddow: I swear! If this Patrick no kill me, no one go fit. Except death itself. ![]() But on a serious note, the above quoted, sounds realistic and so meaningful. |

Humorous politician, Patrick Obahiagbon has slammed Nigerians for calling president Muhammadu Buhari ‘Baba Go Slow’, especially because of his refusal to name his cabinet members early. Obaihagbon, the Chief of Staff to governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state, told Vanguard in a recent interview, that insists that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stands no chance in the guber election scheduled to be held in the state in 2016. The Nigerian leader had come under attack by some sections of Nigerians for his supposed sluggishness in naming his cabinet members and his inability to crush Boko Haram within weeks of inauguration. Patrick Obahiagbon slams Nigerians for calling Buhari ‘Baba Go Slow’ But Obahiagbon believes that the Nigerian president has already shown Nigerians what he can do with the political terrain of the country, and also called for Nigerians’ understanding with the former military dictator. “President Buhari has left no one in doubt- except of course incorrigible political Philistines and revanchists-that he has set his hands on the plough and no political Jupiter can stop him now from cleansing the Augean stable and navigating the ship of the Nigerian state from Bermuda Triangle. “He has demonstrated a diaphanous commitment to pulverize the monster of corruption by not just vacuous sloganeering as it was in the past, but has announced a willingness to begin an epic prosecution of economic vandals. The constitution of a Presidential Advisory Committee against corruption, headed by the fiery and no nonsense Professor Itse Sagay, is a further demonstration of his commitment. “I simply don’t understand what they mean by sluggishness. Mr President met a country in a state of economic phlebotomy, social anomie, moral putrescence and political erebusism. Was he supposed to have, against this background, begin to take precipitate steps bordering on the harum scarum just to satiate the dramatic proclivities of those who lightly cogitate that Nigeria is a political cinematography? No no no. “Fixing the Nigerian economy just now requires systematic methodology,a sangfroid disposition and a calculative mind as cool as cucumber. His shuttle diplomacy to rally Nigeria’s neighbours and the international community at regional and global levels are already paying off in the war against Boko Haram. His spartan discipline and respect for the rule of law, especially on fiscal matters, are already yielding positive mileage for the economy. “Nigerians are used to theatrics and histrionics but President Buhari is not a man of theatre and drama. He is a man of few words but much action,” the man also known as Igodomigodo posited. On whether he thinks the success of the PDP in Edo south in the national assembly elections will repeat itself come 2016 governorship election, Obahiagbon stated vehemently that nothing was achieved by the opposition party in the last elections. According to him: “What were the results achieved by the PDP in the last elections? They simply latched in on the South/South sentiments and the Christian/Muslim stratagem during the presidential election and, even at that, the final results were a photo finish and, of course, when the House of Assembly election took place, when the issues were now local and internal to Edo, was it not now conspicuously demonstrated that APC owns papa’s land, going by the outcome of the elections? “If anything has changed since then it’s that the people of Edo are now more attracted to the APC and the Comrade Governor, especially with the non-performance of the PDP also at the federal level and their eventual defeat. So what is the tension? Edo is APC state anytime, any day and come rain, come sun. 2016 will come and go and I can tell you that it will be wishful thinking for the PDP to dream of winning the governorship in Edo, not now and not in the nearest future.” The politician, famous for his grammatical expressions, was also recently captured where he was trading banters with chief Olisah Metuh, the national publicity secretary of the PDP. If its true. I love such a gesture. Though I'm using BB 8520, and all I do is use my opera mini, whatsapp, and BBM. Now, tell me, is there any reason why I should buy BB 10 or above? I won't waste my hard earned money till I have the need for a bigger phone. Mind you before you quote me, have used Iphone 5c, lumia phone, i5 laptop. So, I chose to be wise. |

The result proved a landmark in the competition and meant the latter have shipped 68 goals in their last two matches Fiji broke the record for the biggest victory at the Pacific Games with a 38-0 win over the Federated States of Micronesia on Sunday, going 21-0 up by the break before adding another 17 later. Atonio Tuivuna cashed in at the weekend with 10 goals at a tournament that provides the possibility of qualification for the Rio 2016 Olympics for his country, though Micronesia are ineligible as they are not affiliated to the International Olympic Committee. The Oceania Football Confederation tournament has been a tough one for the latter, with their Group A hopes already over after going down 30-0 to Tahiti two days earlier. The landslide result set a new highest score at the competition, but will not be officially recognised as a record by Fifa as Micronesia are not ranked by the governing body. Australia therefore retain the honour for the biggest victory in a Fifa-recognised international football match, having beaten American Samoa 31-0 in a qualifier for the 2002 World Cup. Starvation literally means starvation. It doesn’t mean skipping a meal or not eating for 24 hours. Or not eating for three days even. The belief that meal skipping or short-term fasting causes “starvation mode” is so completely ridiculous and absurd that it makes me want to jump out the window. – Martin Berkhan Is it a good thing to ‘starve’ yourself each day, or a few days of the week? Well, a tonne of evidence indicates that timed periods of fasting are a good thing. Fasting has become increasingly popular over the years, especially among the health community. Whilst most health practitioners are afraid to recommend eating less due to the stigma involved, it still doesn’t alleviate the incredible benefits of fasting when used sensibly. In this article, we’ll explore 10 benefits of fasting that will surprise you , and how you can incorporate them into your own life. 1. Fasting Helps Weight Loss Fasting can be a safe way to lose weight as many studies have shown that intermittent fasting – fasting that is controlled within a set number of hours – allows the body to burn through fat cells more effectively than just regular dieting. Intermittent fasting allows the body to use fat as it’s primary source of energy instead of sugar. Many athletes now use fasting as means to hitting low body fat percentages for competitions. 2. Fasting Improves Insulin Sensitivity Fasting has shown to have a positive effect on insulin sensitivity, allowing you to tolerate carbohydrates (sugar) better than if you didn’t fast. A study showed that after periods of fasting, insulin becomes more effective in telling cells to take up glucose from blood. 3. Fasting Speeds Up The Metabolism Intermittent fasting gives your digestive system a rest, and this can energise your metabolism to burn through calories more efficiently. If your digestion is poor, this can effect your ability to metabolise food and burn fat. Intermittent fasts can regulate your digestion and promote healthy bowel function, thus improving your metabolic function. 4. Fasting Promotes Longevity Believe it or not, the less you eat the longer you will live. Studies have shown how the lifespan of people in certain cultures increased due to their diets. However, we don’t need to live amongst a foreign community to reap the benefits of fasting. One of the primary effects of ageing is a slower metabolism, the younger your body is, the faster and more efficient your metabolism. The less you eat, the less toll it takes on your digestive system. 5. Fasting Improves Hunger Just think about this, can you actually experience real hunger if you eat a meal every 3-4 hours? Of course you can’t. In fact, to experience the true nature of hunger, this would take anything from 12 to even 24 hours. Fasting helps to regulate the hormones in your body so that you experience what true hunger is. We know that obese individuals do not receive the correct signals to let them know they are full due excessive eating patterns. Think of fasting as a reset button: the longer you fast, the more your body can regulate itself to release the correct hormones, so that you can experience what real hunger is. Not to mention, when your hormones are working correctly, you get full quicker. 6. Fasting Improves Your Eating Patterns Fasting can be a helpful practice for those who suffer with binge eating disorders, and for those who find it difficult to establish a correct eating pattern due to work and other priorities. With intermittent fasting going all afternoon without a meal is okay and it can allow you to eat at a set time that fits your lifestyle. Also, for anyone who wants to prevent binge eating, you can establish a set time in where you allow yourself to eat your daily amount of calories in one sitting, and then not eat till the following day. 7. Fasting Improves Your Brain Function Fasting has shown to improve brain function, because it boosts the production of a protein called brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF.) BDNF activates brain stem cells to convert into new neurons, and triggers numerous other chemicals that promote neural health. This protein also protects your brain cells from changes associated with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. 8. Fasting Improves Your Immune System Intermittent fasting improves the immune system because it reduces free radical damage, regulates inflammatory conditions in the body and starves off cancer cell formation. In nature, when animals get sick they stop eating and instead focus on resting. This is a primal instinct to reduce stress on their internal system so their body can fight off infection. We humans are the only species who look for food when we are ill, even when we do not need it. 9. Fasting Contributes To Self- Enlightenment Fasting has helped many people feel more connected to life during the practices reading, meditation, yoga and martial arts etc. With no food in the digestive system, this makes room for more energy in the body – the digestive is one of the most energy absorbing systems in the body. Fasting for self-enlightenment, allows us to feel better both consciously and physically. With a lighter body and a clearer mind we become more aware and grateful for the things around us. 10. Fasting Helps Clear The Skin And Prevent Acne Fasting can help clear the skin because with the body temporarily freed from digestion, it’s able to focus its regenerative energies on other systems. Not eating anything for just one day has shown to help the body clean up the toxins and regulate the functioning of other organs of the body like liver, kidneys and other parts. hansad:Its a pity Nigeria is not yet a country. We were just amalgamated with the hope of building a country, but everything spiraled! Right from 1960 till now, there have never been a system of government. We are just trying several system to see which will actually work. In a civilized or democratized system, the armed forces to lift a hand except authorized by the parliament, or in extreme case, the president calls emergency meeting with the service chiefs and with the approval of the chief judge or otherwise. Now, armed forces are being used to declare war (bombings in their own country), where are the police? The mopol? The anti-terrorist squad? I commented on a thread where Gov., Wike used trailer and fork-lift to tow a vehicle belonging to Amechi's associate! And I asked " don't our leaders travel abroad to see what a modern tow van looks like?" Now I ask same question! Did USA used military personnel in Boston Marathon bombing that occurred? Did Canada used military when terrorist attacked their parliament? During xenophobia, did SA bombed their citizens? Maybe we should just try regional system of government whereby every region answers their SURNAME! |
Forklift and a trailer to tow a vehicle in this 21st century? Our leaders need to go to South Africa to see what a modern tow van looks like! |
Wrong Mr President! In international politics, you don't mock a fellow sovereign country as a result of some predicament they had. You should have simply put " I don't want Nigeria to become a wore torn country". I could remember the issue of an American senator using Nigeria's 419ners as an analogue. We all condemned it, we should condemn this likewise. Thanks |
Wrong headline! He didn't escape, he left after the meeting was over just like every other participant! The west should remove the plank from their eyes before pointing to the dust in other people's eye. Proudly African. |
