Although CBN did not announce the deadline for the closure of the portal, it doesn't seem to be working anymore, whether you try in the day time or night time, you will always get the same error message "Account number validation failed" my case has been like this since the past 2 days. and I don't want it to reach this election period.

please does anyone know how this can be fixed? because the banks are obviously still collecting the old notes but they won't collect it unless you present a printout of the CBN reference code.

The CBN portal has not been working properly since yesterday, everything works fine except the bank account validation side.
as you people are no longer able to generate reference codes

Up till now, no one has actually answered the question.

It doesn't matter the commission, you can actually charge the customer extra N100 or N200 and that becomes your gain.

But I am also interested in know the answer to this question?

How do one get into this business, is it POS Or its from Laptop? I know that kudi and Okay can pay for these bills from their mobile apps but I don't see the options available on their pPOS machine so there's no way to print the receipts.

I HAD A SIMILAR CHALLENGE WHEN MY PHONE WAS STOLEN, (NO SIM PACK)
I use GLO and Airtel, (Maybe I should Thank God I don't use MTN )
But after getting my National ID and Affidavit, the staff at GLO office told me that the SIM was not registered with my details.

But every other thing which they required checked out i.e. 5 Most frequently called numbers, Last recharge amount, etc.

At the end of the day. The AFFIDAVIT was what solved the problem. when the staff pointed out that the old details on their system were not mine, her colleague reminded her that the AFFIDAVIT covers such a claim. and since then (2years now) I have been using my sim with peace of mind

So the problem I think you had at the MTN office was that you did not stand on your right. next time you have such a problem, stand on your ground and insist on the essence of the AFFIDAVIT. The AFFIDAVIT is designed to Cover for any personal detail for which we may not have physical proof of.

For example, affidavit of date of birth, covers that though there is no proof that you were born on a certain date, this should statement in court should be accepted to be the truth. and that if you are later found to have lied to the court, you are liable to be jailed.

So next time you have such an issue, ask the staff. Please sir, why did you ask me to get the AFFIDAVIT if you will not accept that it is mine.
If the details on your computer were already showing my face, name, and other details, what is the stupid reason why telecoms ask people to go to the court to swear affidavit?

I followed every step up until i got to SMSC______ when i clicked refresh, it shows "Refresh Error, when i click update, it says update error.

i guess it's because:
1. there's currently no signal on the Ntel sim as i'm configuring it.
2. I removed the other sim(GLO) when doing this configuration, else, while the GLO sim was on, it showed glo SMSC code and when i clicked update, it refused to summit. now that i've removed the glo sim, there's no signal whatsover, and it's just showing refresh error.

can you please tell us the SMSC number of Ntel if you know it?

how else can we solve this issue.

why has no one mentioned that even the glo to glo bonus dont reflect anymore. they also claimed that *323*PIN# will multiply your recharge X4 but that too never works. abeg is there anymore hope with GLO? before i break my glo sim like i did with airtel.

Gosh i hate Airtel right now. has other person noticed that the greedy network is also now charging N8 per sms?

i will advice All customers using airtel as their primary number to go to their banks and update their primary phone numbers to another network.

Guys i've been trying to place a facebook ad for the past 3 days to no success.

First i used GTBank Naira MasterCard, Facebook replied "There was a problem with your card. Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try a different card or contact your bank."

so i made serious research online to know why my card was rejected and also find an alternative solution. so i found so many responses from guys who were all recommending UBA Africard and Zenith Card... seeing that much of the guys spoke of UBA Africard and how easy is was to get it, i quickly ran the following day to UBA to get mine. and within a few hours, i got everything set. i changed my ATM PIN, and went online to also Change the WEB PIN, USERNAME AND PASSWORD, also activated the card by following the instructions stated in the Verify By Visa Section.

Excitedly i went to facebook and they still declined it with this message "This card was declined. Please review your card information and try again or use a different card. If you continue to have problems, please contact your bank"

Guys i need help, The Ad has time limit and facebook doesnt seem to offer paypal to Nigerian Payment Option either.

My questions now are:
Are you able to place fb ad recently? what card are you using?
why are my GTB Mastercard and UBA Visa Africard not working with Facebook.

I recently bought a software called Brainfriend, it came with a Scratch card which i entered after installation, unfortunately i missed one digit and instead of the software to propt invalid, it accepted it and gave me a wrong CustomerID number with which i am to go online to get the final registration ID. upon entering d customer ID, it says Invalid.

Unfortunately the software doesnt give provision for changing d PIN number, i even uninstalled and re-installed the software, yet it keeps bringing up the old (fake) customerID.

please can someone kindly help me tell me how i can find the all old data of d software and delete everything so i can make a fresh re-install. i can't afford to format the system.

And did I Forget to state that this year's Antivirus review noted Kapersky, Norton and Bitdefender as top3 in the world. however, Like I said earlier, I Prefer norton antivirus. bt i have personally succeeded in Hijacking Bitdefender, dat's why i don't recommend it.

And for my friends @tomzyfire and @deribigbe, I can't really help u remove dat virus from here, but I assure u dat Norton can remove it. if u'v not used the 2010 version b4, den u'r lucky, simply install it now and and update it, u can use try it for 60 days. The Recycle.Bin virus is a very weak virus, i could easily remove it without any antivirus, all i need will be to boot the system to safe mode, then stop it's service from msconfig, trace the original host file's path from d registry, then delete the files from command promt (using takeover and force delete command) after which i must disable it from startup and also delete it from registery. it's quite simple, bt the basic step will be to be able to locate the host file, because it's the host file dat make the recycle.bin to keep coming back.

just skip dis long story and install norton 2010 or kaspersky 2010, they'll remove it easily for u.

Everyone is talkin this is best, that is best, and i wonder How you come to know this, the fact is, there are many antivirus publishers because of the upsurge of different kinds of viruses on the internet today. record has it that over 30,000 virus are created everyday, so people create antiruses believing that they will successfully sell their products. but we know that despite the numerous antirus names that are coming up everyday, there are only a handful of key players in the game today.

Clearly, no single antivirus is the best, all antivirus have what is called a "virus definition database" this is what determines the number of virus the anitvirus can recognise and deal with, based on their known behaviors. newer antirus publisher may succeed in gaining popularity for being able to remove new viruses, but that does not mean they are the best, because they are very likely to fail you when older virsuses attack. Again the top antivirus may only have only one or two advantages over each other.

I am Nigerian but i'm based in India, and i'm a (white hat hacker too) here in india, hacking and toying with virus is like regular checking of mail or facebooking in naija, I have dealt with many viruses and many antiviruses and i've found that unless you kno hackin skill, no antivirus is 100% foolproof. nonetheless i recommend only Norton Products not because they are the best per say, but because they are most reliable. but if you are using Avast, Macafee, AVG, Kapersky, i advice you to still keep them because they are also very good.

Those who say Norton is a pain in the neck, i understand your plight, I once hated Norton far back 2004/2005 but now i realised it was due to inexperience. Norton will be a pain in your neck if you try to crack it or use fake liscence unlike AVG and Avast. but somethings the problem may come from your OS too.

I don't know much on the pros and cons of the other antivirus you guys have stated here, but i strongly recommend that you don't
use Bitdefender and NetProtector. these two antiviruses are loud noise makers but they are easily hijacked remotely by hackers.
NetProtected particularly has a virus injected within it's source code. the virus does not execute until it is uninstalled.
I'm using Windows7, and i'v seen it crash alot of systems.

Moreso, If you want to really test the power of all the (over 40) antivirus in the market today, I'll like you to visit this website
www.virustotal.com all you need to do is to take a known virus file and upload it to their site, they'll scan it with all the differnt antiviruses and give you result, this will really help you to recognise and appreciate the best antiviruses, and you will also find that most of the names you've been listing here are not as reliable as you think.
And Did I Forget To say that virustotal.com is a safe website?, please don't be scared, it's a a good website

I hope this will help someone out there, and if you need a virus to do your testing with, you can ask from me, i have over 65 different virus and 7 virus creators.

P.S A Hacker is not a bad person, What he does with his knowledge is what determines if he's a good person or not. I urge you to learn hacking for your own safety too.
