Which phone are you using? And which platform was that please?

Your phone could be the cause of this, this isnt the fault of the rider.

In your quest to make money on this hustle, dont do Saka please.

Don't cheat

I used infinix hot 4pro, the platform is bolt. How can you say that I shouldn't go to sakatinubu and I am working but in vain...

I don't know when some of us will have sense in this life. Do you know the major reason why we are so messed up and useless as a people and a nation?

ITS BECAUSE WE ARE TOO INDISPLINED. WE DON'T LIKE TO FOLLOW RULES AND WE ALWAYS LIKE SHORT CORNERS!

Any rider that takes you on Multiple stops is being smart and you the driver is BEING STUPPID. Riders are aware that if they end the trip while on a stop and request another one when they are done, they will have to pay another base fare which will start counting from 500 on Bolt. What they are avoiding is the base fare.

THE VERY WICKED ONES WHO ARE ENTITLED ALSO WANTS TO HAVE THE FEELING THAT YOU ARE THERE PERSONAL DRIVER WHOM THEY CAN ORDER AROUND AND USE AS MUCH AS THEY WANT.

As a good driver, unless you know how to deal with them with SAKA TINUBU AVENUE or YOU CAME TO LAGOS TO CARRY LAST, DO NOT ENGAGE IN MULTIPLE STOPS OR A STOP THAT WILL TAKE MORE THAN 3 MINUTES.

Are you aware that you make more money by the kilometres you covered and not the time you wasted? Why do you think the money increases as you are moving rapidly? ITS BECAUSE YOUR APPS HAVE SPEEDOMETER COUNTERS THAT WORK WITH GPS SENSORS TO KNOW YOU ARE MOVING AND INCREASE YOUR FARE. Once you stop, THE CLOCKOMETER kicks in and starts counting time.

Uber charges 11 naira per minute and 60 Naira per kilometre.

This implies that if you stay one place on a trip for 20 minutes, you earn only 220 naira. Two hundred and twenty naira!

Are you aware that if you take a rider to Maryland Mall and he or she goes shopping that lasts 20 minutes (Some wicked riders do this), that same 20 minutes is enough time from Maryland to Victoria Island and earn like 2500?

Uber clearly stated it in there rider app that "Stops should be kept at 3 minutes!"

This implies that if you are on a trip, a rider is only permitted to make stops and pickup something quickly and continue on the trip!

Yesterday at Maryland mall, I was at Uber office to sort out some issues with receiving requests. I met a driver and one way or the other, we started talking. I discovered that he was on a trip and the rider told her to stop at the mall for shopping! Not an offline oo BECAUSE HIS APP WAS ACTIVELY READING AND RUNNING. I went into Uber office and finished what am doing which took over 30 minutes because other drivers were there.

When I came out, this DUNDEE UNITED of a driver was still waiting like a MORRON in his car. I asked him sarcastically if he is alright .... The MANCHESTER MUGU UNITED retorted if HE LOOKS SICK TO ME.

I jejely went into my car and decided to observe. 10 minutes later, THE FAT BLOB WOMAN OF A RIDER THAT LOOKS LIKE WINNIEH THE POOH came out with her shopping and I watched the driver rush to help her load it into the boot. The woman asked the driver she hopes the app is still running and the MORROPY driver replied yes.

I shouted "Chineke (God)" in my mind.

Probably, this one is being nice because he expects to win a CONTRACT TO SUPPLY 1 BILLION BAGS OF CEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF OSHODI APAPA EXPRESSWAY.

Onye Mgbu. Ewu Zakibiam.

Nice write up bro. Thanks for the info. Yesterday I took a rider from Ikoyi to jakande 1st gate and she asked me to wait let her quickly rush up to drop her items and that I should take her to cadogan in jakande. While she came down I checked the fare it was 2k, she spent about 10minutes and when we started moving I checked again the same 2k, we got to her destination and I ended the trip still 2k. I told her that I have to do review. I did review and put 2500 uptill now it is still on review. However, I she gave me 2,200 that whatever it is I should call her. I was really angry. Same yesterday, in the afternoon I took a guy from karimu kotun vi to eko hotel to change money, from eko hotel to the palms and waited for him 15minutes then to friends colony in jakande to pick up something and from there to his final destination inside jakande when I ended the trip I saw 2,300 I was mad!!!

Abeg!!! Anybody with saka should help my ministry. Pls, call me 07059962728.

Thanks

Go and check history and you will come to terms that elzakzakys parents are original igbiras from okene that settled in Zaria , just like many other tribes that peacefully settled in different parts of northern Nigeria .Go back to school

Aisha Buhari should understand that there is a great difference between rape victim and rape claimant?

Besides, it is not out of place for the police on the request of the accused to demand that the rape claimant jusitifes her accusations before she can be officially awarded the title of victim.
And justice meted out deservingly.

I am also confined to construe this attention to the IG of Police as an act of using office as a tool for obstruction of justice.
This is no case of intimidation but that of elucidation of misrepresented facts.

The Dakolos have just gotten the best opportunity to come out with their facts, I expected them to embrace it and defend their claims.
This is more than shouting #NotInMyChurch, #MeToo or floating a money-funnel NGO.

This is about setting the facts clear.
They need not call Segalink or RuggedMan when next a strange car comes near their dirty house unless they're confirming what the bible says about the wicked who run when no one is chasing.

Well, what do I even know?

I heard of a man who got denied for the weirdest reason.

The guy is married and wanted visa to the US for 15 days to attend some conferences.

They asked oga who will take cars of his family if he's away, oga said "my wife is a banker, she can take care of things while I'm away".

Na why them deny the guy be that.

That is not any weakest reason. Everybody knows that bankers do not have time In Nigeria. He should have said that we have a nanny who look after the kids for us when we go to work. However, in most cases, simple things are hard to remember during a one minute interview.

Politics / Re: Yakubu Dogara: How I Donated My 6 Month Salary In Building Covenant University by Donte101: 9:34am On Jun 05, 2019
Dailyhappenings:
I have been a son to the Bishop since my University days. I first came in contact with Bishop David Oyedepo when I heard him say something in Bauchi in 1988 and it changed my entire life forever. 1988 in Bauchi. I picked it up and ran with it, and my life has been incredibly transformed.

For the last 27 years, I have been following the teaching I have received in Living Faith Church, faithfully.

I am a proud son of this Commission. Yes in the midst of wolves, I am a practicing Christian. No truly spiritual person ever gets stranded in life.

Many years ago, When Covenant University was taking off with its construction, I sacrificed my 6 months salary(as a lawyer in practice) wholesale to God for the construction of the University. It was a tough decision but I have never had to struggle for anything in life. Everything works in divine frequency for me.

Forget the riches and the blessings of the heathens, the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and added no sorrow. Nothing can be compared to serving God.

If it were not for the teachings we received on this altar, maybe all my political victories may not have come.

We had Goliaths in the run up to the election; there were Tobias and Sambalats. We had Balams who were asked to curse us but God was and is with us, for whom the Lord has blessed no man can curse.

It pays to serve God in this life and ultimately, in the life to come.

One of the things that pisses me off on this job has started this 2019.
Got a request at Ebute Meta, called the rider to confirm her location, fortunately the pickup location was wrong, buh was able to get to her pickup location, got there called this babe that am here, she said okay am coming, 15min later still called again she said she's on her way down, it took her another 10min to get to me, okay I started trip, was on my way she started grumbling that I should drive faster that shes late, lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed I was angered by that but I kept quiet and increased my speed a little from steady 80 to 90-100km. We finally got to her destination only for her to call the man that she came to see that she's here, the man told her to give him 10min his coming, we were inside the car for 30min waiting, this young lady could not even say sorry for the wait/delay

It's high time I start telling this people my mind.

A similar thing happened to me. After I waited for 30m as soon as the two ladies entered the car I started the trip, the next thing I hear was that, oga have you started the trip already I said yes, she said let me see your phone, I showed her and she saw 19m which means the time it will take us from elegushi beach to farmcity lekki, the next thing I hear, oga you have started the trip 19m ago.... I was very angry, I just stopped and asked them to get out of the car.

it is not their fault. na Uber and Taxify cause am.

All of your Analysis is largely still based on a myopic view which is that of a driver on rentals who naturally would struggle to meet up the weekly rentals whereas most driver partners who own their cars somehow find a way to stay and keep on keeping on it would not be as bad as you pointed out above. For those on the fence...una well done...keep observing....

To prospective drivers who are new in this business... Hear me out... Especially if you are driving for someone. I have driven for 2 people before. One ended well only that owner was bankrupt and sold off car. The other client refused to service the car and I simply went and parked car jejely. These are some things I have learnt so far in this venture...

*Mind What you sign up for before carrying a car. Many cars being given to drivers are dead cars waiting for mortuary. I kid you not.

*With the unbearable traffic jam in Lagos now and taxify slashing prices, the least you can do now is between 25-28k... With the grace of God oo. Because should LASTMA or Police catch you defaulting while hustling, your whole week money is gone! I kid you not.
Car owner does not send you!

*With many drivers now on both platforms, the future of Uber and taxify in Nigeria is almost good as dead. Many graduates are now drivers. Failed businessmen are also turning to Uber. Problematic business issues have also turned so many people into drivers. Yours sincerely fall into this category. What this implies is that supply somehow outweighs demands. So drivers, use your sense and mind what you sign up for!

*On no account should you carry out any repairs whatsoever be it 1,000 on the car. Inasmuch as you give owner between 28-30 k weekly and you are consistent. All repairs are to be carried out by car owner! But make sure you are consistent with the money you remit per week!
Because from there, your tool of hustle will be maintained.

*Remember that your daily target should be at least 15k! Anything less than this is deceivin yourself. Let me break it down for you. 5k to car owner, 5k for fuel, 3k to settle both Uber and taxify commissions and then 1k for you! You see how stupid this business is? Because whether you like it or not, you must settle Uber and taxify and you must buy up to 5k Fuel! Have you seen Lagos traffic of late? I see when some drivers make 13k daily and are happy. Hahahahahahaha... Folly at its peak! Are you aware that within that 13k is your 5k fuel for next day? 5k for car owner that day? And almost 2k for 15% commission Settlement for the platforms you are driving on? And you have to eat for the day and pay other bills? Do you still think its a profitable venture?

*From my experience driving for someone of late... I discovered after 3 weeks that am just driving and making money for the car owner with nothing for myself! Because the terms and conditions of this business have changed drastically! Had to drop car.. So, look for a reasonable and sensible partner that understands a 50-50 situation for both driver and partner so that everybody is happy. Gospel truth.

*Many car rentals give out malfunctioning cars or bad cars to prospective drivers. More often than not, the driver before you is a very bad one and has damaged the car almost. Before you pick up a new car being given to you by either a partner or a fleet, do your due diligence and inspect that car well! Make sure that everything is 98% in order. Demand that fuel be given to you. At least half tank. All these is to make sure that you start running! If they expect 100% from you, why can't the tool given to you be in a 100%? Take this fact to the bank of you ever want to be succesful in this.

*Do not be deceived of how drivers are making millions. Its all wash. No driver is making that currently. Maybe before... But now? Lies lies lies! This stuff is not a business venture. I see it as something you use and hold body and soul together till you regain your feet or something better comes your way...

I will be contributing more of my experiences as time goes on.

End of discussion

You need to understand that e-hailing is not just about exploiting Drivers....
It's more about enabling a networking platform.

I bet you none of those guys who own the business started as a Driver.

I had to go through the process to understand the pain and hustle of the game from a Driver perspective.

They are so much responsibilities for Drivers. Especailly in Lagos with bad roads and Traffic jam.

The money I made for a week was used to fix my car in 1 day..... Check that out...

So we believe that Drivers should be more advantaged. It is their vehicle and they need to have more assurance to be on the road.

These guys are capitalists. They have a history of exploiting. But it's not all about money.

I like google because they give you so much value for free. Then they charge in trickles in some cases.
