Nigerians will be asked to submit documents A B and D.

Nigerians will begin to wonder this one that document C was skipped.
Is it not mistake on their part?
Should I just look for document C and add?

But those that asked for A, B and D know what they are doing.

Don't over do things.

Focus on only what was asked, if there is need for more documents they will demand.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.
The same thing they did with Canada, now Canada are demanding unnecessary things, changing rules of documents to show here and there. At the end of the day we Nigerians are the one doing ourselves. If only people can have it at the back of their minds that over doing it doesn't make you better than those who do less yet kept to the rules.

You wrote a personal statement before applying to the university why not use that? I believe all your reasons are there and that's your answer. Same goes for anyone who are finding it difficult to answer these questions.

Good evening guys , I want to gurus in the house to help scrutinize my case.
List of refusals , US 2013, Canada 2017, and Uk , 4 times ( first time inconsistent account ) , second time I wanted to attend my cousin’s graduation denied due to large deposit in dad’s account and then I re-applied explaining that but I was later denied based on my financial circumstances. The last one was an all expense paid competition I won but was denied based on financial circumstances.

All these applications I didn’t include my Canadian and US denial
My travels were within Africa , been to Dubai

Right now I got in Coventry .. I’ve paid my full tuition and have my funds for upkeep plus I have free accommodation from Phoenix Award. Patiently waiting for my 28 days to apply for CAS... what are my chances guys
Just be honest and list all the reasons of your past refusals rather than hide them.

yes please...just that I had a zero in that course and dnt know if I will be asked to rewrite next year or will be given my transcript inputing that mark. but they say I have to do a mandatory training thats the part I dnt understand. Thank you so much for taking out time to read my questions and understanding it. and thank you for understanding so well. please if you have further advise and open to learn. thank you. (Am a woman by the way those addressing me as bro)
Honestly the best advice so far has been to talk with the school authorities and ask if you can retake the module. If you can then apply for a Visa extension and tell the embassy your reason for doing so. As for the training you don't seem to understand what it entails, ask the school authorities as well. Let them know you are new to these things. In a situation like this, communication is a key thing you can't afford to ignore or misinterpret because it will surely come back to affect you. Anything you don't get you ask either the school authorities or Student Union and they will explain to you. That's why these bodies are there in the first place . Once you get your proper answer, I believe you'll know the next step to take.

Dear Gurus in the house,

Please,help out on this issue.

I made a tuition deposit of 4k pounds, but on the confirmation offer I received from the school is stating I paid 3975 pounds, a shortfall of 25pounds.

I dont know what could have led to the shortfall.

I initiated the form A in first bank and I have my telex copy/receipt for 4k pounds, I complained there, they are surprise too.

Whoelse has experience this, and how did you resolve it.
I had this similar issue with yours. Please anyone using First bank Form A, tell whoever is attending to you at the bank not to deduct the service charge from the amount you are depositing or you would be 25 pounds short. I had to pay the remaining 25 pounds to the school with my master card and recieved a second confirmation letter.

UK: work rights for dependants of PSW postgrads
Posted on Jul 13, 2020 by The PIE News team
Posted in Government, News, under Europe.
Tagged with graduate route, PhD, Post-study work visa, PSW, UK.

Within its latest immigration update, the UK government has confirmed that the dependants of postgraduate Tier 4 international students who get a post-study work visa from 2021 will “have near full access to the UK labour market and can work at any skill level”.
The graduate route will be launched in summer 2021 to provide international students the opportunity to stay in the UK to work or look for work.

"We will also be removing the study time limit for students studying at a postgraduate level"
In a statement that provides further details on the government’s plans for a new UK points-based immigration system, the Home Office unveiled more details around the graduate route due to launch next year.
“In general dependants have near full access to the UK labour market and can work at any skill level”
“The graduate route will be launched in summer 2021 to provide international students the opportunity to stay in the UK to work or look for work after they graduate,” the statement explained.
“Undergraduate and master’s degree students will be able to stay for two years under the route, whilst PhD students will be able to stay for three years.”
It also explained that graduates “will be able to switch into other routes in line with the wider approach to switching when applying for leave inside the UK”, including the ability to switch into work routes if they are able to meet the requirements.
“The graduate route will also increase the attractiveness of the UK’s offer to international students, ensuring we remain internationally competitive and assist in our ambition to increase the number of international students in higher education as set out in the International Education Strategy,” the Home Office statement continued.
Regarding dependants, the Home Office statement explained that students will be able to bring dependants “if studying at postgraduate level for at least nine months at a Higher Education Provider with a track record of compliance, or if government-sponsored to study a course longer than six months”.
“Skilled workers and postgraduate students will continue to have the right to bring dependants,” it read, highlighting that a dependant’s application must be linked to that of the main applicant.
“In general dependants have near full access to the UK labour market and can work at any skill level.”
The statement also revealed that it will be extending the period of time in which a student can apply for permission to come to the UK before the start of their course, from three to six months.
“We will also be removing the study time limit for students studying at a postgraduate level, although students will still be expected to be progressing academically in their studies when making a further application in the UK,” it noted.

This is great news. So one can come into the UK 6 months before studies but it still all depends on schools issuing CAS six months before course resumption rather than 3 months

Good morning ppl

Pls I have a few question

1. Is it possible that a UK resident pays the deposit for an international student(Given that the UK govt might be interested in these funds coming from outside their economy)?

If this is possible, what other available mode of payment is possible since form A won't be the option in this case. Can credit card be used for the payment?

2. If the student decides to pay more than the min deposit, e.g it is £4,400 min deposit for Salford butI intendtopay £6,000. How is the invoice raised to reflect that amount paid
Whatever amount you pay the invoice is generated. Most times the school takes the deposit fee then adds the remaining balance to your school fees. For example let's say your school fees is £14,000 and you are to pay £4,400 but instead paid £6000. Most universities will take the £4400 deposit fee then add the remaining balance £1600 as your Tuition fees payment giving you a balance of £8000 to complete as Tuition fee.

Mehn you try o. That University is very expensive asf. But it's a very good University especially in terms of computer science and you'll likely gain alot.

I was actually surprised by the him yesterday. He also opposed my post. Skymooore1004 sounds pained as if UK have denied him.

He doesn't even know that most PR in Canada are taxi drivers and there is institutional racism in Canada for white collar job. They tell you you must have Canada experience and Canada education. Although, this is not applicable to IT or if you have international qualifications like ACCA, CPA
It's still applicable to IT. I can say from experience. I got an IT job in Canada, even my employer had to do a Labour market impact just so they could give me Visa but for where? They told my employer there are still many educated unemployed Canadians in the IT sector and he should still put the job advert out there for 10 more months (initially the job post had been up for 6 months and after series of interviews I was chosen) then once he doesn't get any from other suitable Canadian candidates in other regions for the job then he can start considering seeking for external candidates. After doing my own personal research I got to find out that in terms of education Canadians are highly educated to even University degree Level compared to the US where most of them simply finished just high school. So even if you are coming as an IT you need to either have a Canadian experience or at least 6 years of experience in the field in order to compete.

Guys please someone asked this question on the main forum and I saw series of discouraging responses. And to my greatest surprise, it came from some of the prospective students sharing the same idea here with us, some has admission currently with UK school. pls can we trash it out here as a family

Please my fellows i need your advice, i am in between 2 choices. I have this land i just bought and wana build my house i have fenced it and out gate but i am thinking if to use the money i got to develop the land or i use it and travel abroad (uk ) for my masters pls advice me.

For those abroad is it easy there and can i get a good job after my masters or i should remain here in Nigeria and get married?

I will need to sell my car and properties if i am to travel.

Please help move to front page for more views and suggestions thanks.
This is a hard one. I'm a prospective student so I have no idea how it is in the UK unless those who are there could give you more information on this but from what I've witnessed from people who go there, there is a possibility your travelling there might favor you and it might not. It's a risk one have to take. I would suggest you find a way in killing two birds with one stone which involves not selling all your properties and you still traveling. So that if at all your stay there doesn't favor you, you still have something in Nigeria to come back to. I believe there are scholarships programs available that covers full tuition, you can do more research on that or see how you can apply for a loan.

I would decamp if I were in your shoes and apply to a school that has January intake unless you are bent on entering this September of course. A school that's always finding it hard to make decisions might definitely come back to hunt you in your academic year with them in terms of delay in graduation, result processing etc. It just shows they are either unorganized or too careful to point of being slow.

Got my passport in November 2019. NIN was part of the criteria but the immigration guys ruled it out for me.
You must have done yours at Festac Passport office which still uses the old one that doesn't require NIN or another passport office. I just want to say both the old one and new one are still valid and you can still use either of them to travel. No need to panic and switch to a new one "Unless" your passport is about to expire. Rather put the money to a good use, for starters your TB test. Since you received your passport 2019 then you still have until 2024 before it expires.

OK, so i work with a bank here in Nigeria, the question i would like to ask is , what was your mode of payment;

-FORM A?
-DIRECT TRANSFER from ur DOM account?

where did u request the charges be deducted from on your form? cos if u didnt tick anything or u ticked self and ur account is not funded enough, swift charges would be taken out of the principal amount.
I used Form A. And when filling the form there wasn't anywhere that says where the charges is to be deducted. Even when I asked the lady who attended to me how much was the charges she said she didn't know but I made sure my account was fully funded enough only for it to arrive at this which leaves me confused because even after the 3000 pounds was deducted, there was still enough money in my account.

First of all I have no idea how it's £2975 since I made a deposit of 3K secondly who have also gone through this issue? Would this have any effect on my Visa application? Thirdly, how do I over come this if there is a way? Because clearly I think this is an issue in the fluctuation of the exchange rate with no one at fault.

My question is how good and demanding is the IT sector over there? IT globally is in demand. With Covid 19, some companies especially startups have laid off staff but some are still hiring.
What are my chances in getting a job after graduation? Given that I do not know you and devoid of any other information I'd say 50/50 chance. You can get a job or not get a job
Or do I need to take a certification course first after graduation? Depends on your field but experience matters a lot.

Having said that, be aware that you start job hunting as soon as you enroll. most companies start recruiting graduates around October to start in September the next year. A lot of people complain they only have 3- 4 months after graduation to look for a job which is not true. They have over 1 year to find a job but often choose to wait the after their program to start looking. They often start by looking for temporary jobs and forget about the ultimate aim.
Thank you. This helped alot.

My question is how good and demanding is the IT sector over there? What are my chances in getting a job after graduation? Or do I need to take a certification course first after graduation? I already have skills and experience in web design and some software development, currently learning skills on UI/UX design as well.
