Normally, small businesses should be managed by the owners na.....even the uber you're talking about, na somebody go run am for you? Any small business not managed by the owner is meant to fail, cos everybody wants to steal or play fast one to make money.
Me no understand your point o
Someone want to invest 7m to get 2 cars for Uber/bolt. So definitely he will be putting them on rental or HP. He will get drivers to drive the cars and make delivery. My point is are there no drivers still making delivery of 30k - 40k weekly consistently.

Because all I see on this group lately is people saying the business is no go area for investors.

Do you think that 30k - 40k will be consistent?

Do you know much it cost to maintain and service car nowadays?

Do you know how much they sell engine oil nowadays?

Are you aware of 25% Commission Uber charge drivers per trip?

Do you how much fuel is selling per litre now compare to 5years ago I started the business

Do u know how much vulcanizer is collecting to inflate tyre now?

Are you aware of how many Uber cars that are snatched and stolen everyday.

Do think is easy to get honest and reliable driver that will deliver 40k consistently?

Are you aware of police, lastma, road safety, vio and tout extortion of drivers earnings on daily basis?

Do you know many drivers that are involved in road accident everyday and their cars damaged beyond repair?

I can go on and on.

But let me stop here
My question still remains.
With all you have listed above
Are there no driver on rental or HP remitting 30k - 40k weekly consistently.

I know people still doing well in this business.

Some of the points you listed are not daily or weekly occurrences.

A lot bro. You should find out, if you don't know. Seun BBQ at Abule oja junction makes far far more than that a day! My friend who owns a bar/restaurant at Moore Road, off University Road, makes far more than that a day. Chowdeck and other delivery bikes comes to pick food steady at his place.
These are businesses you can start with the 1.5m someone wants to use to buy car for uber.

You might want to ask why I'm still running Lagos upandan......I don't have to tell you my plans.

This biz don cast. Na just to keep body and soul, no be to hammer
The businesses you listed if not managed by the owners will still have stories.
So the point is every business has it flaws and not failure proof.

So 7m on 2cars!!!! What will be the return per month on each? When will he break even?
With 3.5m u can venture into plantain farming and and recoup that + about 50% profit within 12months and still have your 3.5m untouched
I think uber/taxify is profitable if u are driving yourself
Which plantain farming grin, better say what you know not them say. If the op buy 2 cars and put them on HP he will recover his money with profit within 2yrs and some Months. Venturing into plantain farming is not 100% risk free as you have made it seem. Several factors can make him not recover half of his investment on plantain.

I farmed maize and soya beans last year in Saki in Oyo state after I lost my job. I'm still counting my losses as we speak. I could not even recover my capital.

And someone wants to buy 2 tokunbo cars for ehailing @ #7 million naira.
Are you saying an bolt/Uber driver cannot deliver 30k - 40k weekly in today's Naija. How many other businesses are delivering such amount consistently?

Rider and indriver don cast e-hailing app so i will suggest you get a car in the range of 2m, do comprehensive Insurance on the cars, get better 3 in 1 dash cam. Use the remaining money for other maintenance/business
Good suggestion here

How can u have 7m and the best biz u can think of is bolt/uber!!! There are a thousand and one better, profitable things u can do with 7m and make as much as 50% profit so think deeper...
Oya recommend another business without challenges to him.

There is no business that's problem free. Uber/bolt is still very relevant. Transportation generally can NEVER die as long as humans keep moving from point A to B.

If you are not driving for yourself, don't try it. Use your money for other venture.
Several Uber/bolt partners are still doing well in the business. Beside which business can you do without ups and downs in Nigeria.

If you have 1.5million cash at hand please venture into another business or focus on that thing that gave you the 1.5million

once you buy a car of 1.5M u can never save 1.5M cash driving Uber.
Is it that BAD?

I am looking to start a gas refill business either through opening a gas plant or a big retail place.

I want to know the cost implications for starting a gas plant and the requirements for it. Do I need any license of any sort?
How do I get suppliers for the gas? ETC

I will be following every opinion.

Thank you
I have a close friend who has two gas stations in Ibadan different locations. You need an empty land preferably within a highly populated area. You get a land on lease or outright purchase. Can't disclose everything here though.
