If you are really an investment/biz guru in MF/TB, then there is no reason to suggest that you have no idea about first conviction in Mutual Funds (Money Market Funds) because the first CONVICTION about Mutual Funds (Money Market Funds) like that of StanbicIBTC is very clear and boldly written on their website that ''Capital Preservation''. What is financial definition of Capital Preservation? It simply means that: Capital Preservation is a strategy for protecting the money you have available to invest by choosing insured accounts or fixed-income investments that promise return of principal. So you have nothing to fear about as your money is more than SAFE
Please ask questions, ask many questions and make research.. Don't just read only on nairaland and especially don't listen to some people that have no knowledge, understanding, or ability about Treasury Bills.
As per Treasury Bills, they are securities issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria. So ask yourself this, can Federal Government collapse? Never and ever...Investment in Government Treasury bills guarantees the protection of your capital and are considered to have zero default risk. So, please stop listening to clueless people. Ask questions from experienced people like: ernie4life, ednut1, ImperialCovfefe, e.t.c.
You can also visit Treasury Bills thread here https://www.nairaland.com/878880/treasury-bills-nigeria/501 Ask questions there from people like: feelamong, TONY56, Awesomej, Partnerbiz, e.t.c. ...Also visit your bank and ask about it. Is that not simple instead of listening to people that have no idea about MF and TB but tell you bullsh1ts here? |

chukzyfcbb: its nonsense when you are investing with peanuts :-)
Someone is smiling to the bank every year with his millions. The same land you speak of. I know of some that hasn't improved in price in that last 2yrs.
Same goes for shares. Why I dey even waste my time replying you sef. na me make mistake
Na where your level of knowledge reach, u go stay in Don't blame them . I was once like them. They are many on nairaland, some eventually got the logic while some are still chasing their shadows and are yet to understand that false knowledge is more dangerous than ignorance. In all, investing your money in anything is your personal choice. It’s pointless to set goals if you are not going to try to hit them. For instance, whether Treasury Bills and Mutual Funds are nonsense or not, i love locking my money there for a reason . |

It's simple, you give funds to fund managers who invest in stocks and share the gains amongst all the contributors to the fund.
Managers may decide to put all funds in stocks/equity or share funds and put some in safer investment media like treasury bills etc
EXAMPLE :
Fund Name: Stanbic IBTC Nigerian Equity Fund Asset Allocation: Min 75% Equities Max 25% Fixed Income Guarantee: None Handling Charges: 2% of redemption proceeds (if investments are redeemed within the first three months) Investment Horizon: Long-term Investment Objective: Capital appreciation Minimum Investment: NGN 50,000.00 Nominal Value: N1,000.00 Redemption: Within 5 working days Restricted Investment: None Risk: Investors with High Risk Appetite I don't want to hear this Subsequent Investment : NGN 20,000.00 |

aaronson: If your money runs into millions I suggest you invest in Treasury bills.
Shares takes years to get high pay out dividend, most people buy share for their unborn kids as a result.
Treasure bill is like a loan to the government that can be paid back at anytime you want, however, duration determines the percentage of profit you make, could be weeks, months, 1 year or more.
Crypto currency is a big risk, I'm NOT saying don't invest but venture in other sectors before risking that of Crypto currency. Crypto is highly volatile but massive profit but eh bros, if the volatility catches up with you, your 1 million could be worth 400k or less within minutes and the painful thing about it is you would be watching your money decrease right in your btc wallet and you can't do nothing about it, Ask gurus like Tabbaz, LadyF, Ymodulus and HazzanTazzan.
Crypto investment bought me Benz in the dream but when I woke up to volatility na brand new dullop slippers I dey use cruise around town. hahahaha kidding you but Invest wisely. ONE OF THE BEST ADVICES SO FAR ON THIS THREAD |

stop paying agents. Changing anything on international passport can be done through the portal.
google nigerian immigration portal, go to the site, apply for a change of whatever , fill the form, pay the fee of about 15 or 17k online, get an appointment date immediately and go for the interview.
Make sure you go with the necessary documents for the interview and you would be fine.
you do not need to spend more than 17k to get all these done the right way.
i am applying for a name change and it is all i did. my interview is next week. and No you dont have to go to abuja, i am doing this in port harcourt. You are wrong. You must go to Abuja if you're changing Date of Birth. |
