tradepunter: Mutual funds very funny investment in naija... Worked at the core and realize how mad money is made and yet they use technical jargon to sell dreams to wannabe investors.. I dy use my 2milla steady on odds of 1.02-1.10 twice a week, and am living good... People might say it's crazy stuff but hey nah my cash and I chose it over mutual funds Smh |

Alikote: mumu number 2 which one be your own ....a kid calling someone too know is not insult ko which village your appear from Smh. Indomie generation everywhere. Now i understand. Your stupidity is alarming while your problem is embarrassing on your MR I TOO KNOW in every thread. I have read so many posts on nairaland that raised suggestions about the way you insult and curse nairalanders and turning good threads into war threads and that the best bet is to ignore you so you can continue your childish attitude. Sometimes you have to shut up, swallow your pride and accept that you are arrogantly rude and wrong. Its not giving up, its called growing up. I remember recent complain about you by another nairalander: "SamReinvented:
This Alikote needs to be banned. Seems he likes to initiate the same arguments over and over. And he does it, trying to abuse and denigrate other people. It's not cool. Do your business in peace, and let other people do their investment in peace. Don't make life unnecessarily hard for yourself"Its your way. I am done with you. |

Orlins: It's not a matter of being a kid. The people you call over here would see you are using a Nigerian number to call but you claim to be abroad and it would seem you are telling a lie and that would cause a lot of damage. Imagine calling a business associate and telling him you are in the UK but it's a glo number that appeared on his screen. You could lose the deal. Don't mind him. Its obvious he is the kid here, taking issues from where there is none! |

This guy is probably an 18 year old kid
Why would i want my phone number to show when i call Nigeria or some other countries ??
That's why i don't have a phone number or SIM card in my phone, i just download a textme app on my phone and get a free phone number
This is 2017 and not 1965, no one trips for foreign phone numbers anymore You are the kid here because you take everything serious beyond your long nose. What is wrong in voicing out what is happening to someone? Smh |

Mcowubaba: I came here asking/seeking for information about Ireland in reference to my Sister's ambition.
I was guided by many people, I'm glad to announce that she has since gotten her admission, and also she just got her VISA today!!,... Special thanks to Dotcomnamename...
Congratulations Mcowubaba, i'm happy for you. Can't wait to see my brother get his own visa too . I personally invited my brother and my father inlaw, they approved my father inlaw's application on appeal. They first refused my father inlaw's application but i appealed the decision immediately from here in Ireland and they finally approved it. This is an old man that just came back from New Jersey in US and still have a valid US visa as you can imagine. As per my brother his application was refused twice. . My family lawyer told me that they wanted to give him the visa but they probably think he won't return to Nigeria due to the fact that I that invited him entered Ireland with a visit visa and did not return to Nigeria but eventually granted residency based on family and long time residence in Ireland. I'm going tough on them on my brother's next application Once more congratulations, tell your sister to bring Ogbono and bitter leaf O ! |

ernie4life: for further clarifications
Balanced funds don't guarantee capital because of its exposure to equity assets. but the truth in equity space Always out performs money market instrument(Do your research) in this case LeeCodeman is investing for the child which is obviously long term, balanced or a mixture of balanced funds is ideal. investing in a balanced fund mitigates the risk of investing in equity directly while still offering returns close to what equity offers. Now what am recommending is that he should have part of this child's funds in balanced funds to be able to take advantage of the returns, the ratio he decides to split it between Money market fund and balanced fund is entirely up to him to decide.
cc bisiki2 So how will intended investor will order her bank to invest for the ''mixture of balanced funds''? |

bisiki2: Balanced Fund and Money Market Fund are investment portfolio under Mutual Fund. However, with BF there is the possibility of losing interest accrued and the principal invested is not guaranteed. To you, apparently with Money Market Fund there is 100% guarantee that investor won't lose interest accrued and the principal invested is your point, is that correct? |

bisiki2: @ LeeCodeman, i want to assume that @ ernie4life suggested the balance fund investment because it offers a higher yield, but i strongly advise against it. For a long term investment, a steady cash flow and preservation of capital is key. I would suggest you stick with the money market fund investment for the reasons stated by @ ernie4life Hello bisiki2, I don't understand your point above. Please read your post again. You clearly against the ernie4life's suggestion of Balance Fund Investment because it offers a higher yield. However, you also suggested @LeeCodeman should stick with Money market Fund Investment but for what REASON stated by @ernie4life? I don't get your point there. Are you saying @LeeCodeman should go for Mutual Funds for long time investment for the child and then choose Money Market Fund under the same Mutual Funds? Can you please clarify/be more explanatory. Thank you. |
