the Lagos state government can also take away lands owned by Yorubas to build bridges. government do pay compensation before taking away the lands.

the point is: anyone who sold his ancestral claim to a land can never have the land back after 99 years.

Urban planning dept needs to visit the real lagos where people just build wat they like and where they feel like.

Some lagosians are building residential houses
under powerline.
Right in the middle of residential areas some people are building churches and mosque disturbing the peace of the environ

Na for lagos dem go build school right next to club or olosho quaters.

So many irregularities, too bad for a Mega city.

Their department should do better.
True talk, na the slums them suppose begin with.

If you say so, but most of those houses I'm seeing on Lagos Island belongs to Igbos.

I'm not igbo btwn , just an observation.

Either way, Yorubas need some sense of nationalism to restrict further invasion.

they are very lazy but they have the most econmically viable region in the country that everybody from all over the country is rushing to ? yeah lol. The brains of pioneers like jagaban is what Yruba land is made of. the pioneers like lateef jakande, jagaban, fashola etc. yoruba land is the most blessed in all of nigeria. thats called working smart.
Story, indigenous Yorubas have been shifted to the slums enmasse, foreigners have occupied the most sought after locations and you're still blowing grammar.

Two things messed d Yorubas up.

Classism and saboteurs within.
Liberalism.

ceaser:
Because it is an absolute truth that bottom power can get you to places in Nigeria.

Efforts + Good parenting + Working system = success (in the west)

Efforts + Good parenting + Rotten system = Failure (in Nigeria)

Enough successful candidates in WASC/NECO or Jamb that have been unable to get their dream course to study in their most admired higher institution in the country. A lot now have to go to such countries like Ghana and Ukraine to study medicine because not knowing people/personalities means they couldn't get admission into Nigerian schools.

Even when you manage to get yourself your dream qualification, getting employment is another conundrum, another cup of tea entirely. If you can bribe/sleep with someone to secure employment or know someone who is high up there, it's mostly OYO for you.
1. No effort + bad parenting + good system = potential failure.

2. No effort + bad parenting + bad system = potential failure.

3. Good effort + good parenting + bad system = potential success.

4. Good effort + good parenting + good system = potential success.

There are exceptions off course! May we never find ourselves in position 2.

Completely philosophical.

Funny enough, we're told society doesn't need a moral code and people should do what makes them happy.

CrimeRe: EFCC Arrests 14 For Internet Fraud In Lagos by doxijaw: 11:33pm On Feb 09, 2021
studentofTruth:
My point is simple: they should learn how to separate the seeds from the chaff. They can't use a blanket approach to tag anyone working with a laptop a fraudster!

Admittedly, many Nigerian youths are into cybercrime. However, there are intelligent ways to fight cybercrime. They can liaise with Google, Facebook, Twitter, WeChat, and even this Nairaland to monitor our online space. FBI used Instagram and Nairaland to nail Invictus and used Instagram and Snapchat to nail Huspi. Even DSS use Twitter and Nairaland to track PMB's enemy. But our so-called agency for financial crimes is doing blanket arrest in 21st century.

From what I have seen online so far, in my honest opinion, EFCC is NOT fighting cybercrime. Instead, they created a business for themselves and use the media sentiments the topic generates to mask the decay in the agency!

Unfortunately, the media frenzy is causing more damage to the psych of an average Nigerian youths, instead of deterring them from the crime. The average Nigerian youths now thinks that fraud is the only way to make it really big in this country. Just this evening, I argued for a long time with a graduate of computer science to get him to change that mindset.

My point is simple: EFCC should do things the right way. Take time and build a case before making any arrest and put the fellow away for a very long time — not this their 6-18months slap on the wrist!
On point 100 percent.
CrimeRe: EFCC Arrests 14 For Internet Fraud In Lagos by doxijaw: 10:53pm On Feb 09, 2021
studentofTruth:
As if you haven't heard how they (EFCC) operate: wrongly profile anyone working with a laptop, arrest and parade the person on the media, and only then begin their investigation.

There are many public examples of that. If you want, I will list them.

My own is that if they try that nonsense on me, they'll pay heavily for it! Sorry, it's a mistake is not for me.
This fight is actually meant to protect you.

The online worker whose opportunities have been limited due to fraudsters.

Imagine a world where you can use those services that are blocked in Nigeria.

It's for you bro, you have nothing to gain from being defensive.

Nigerian Yahoos are dumb and loud, easy to catch.

If I worked with law enforcement, I don't need to step outside to spot them, that's how stupid they are.

100% sure? Where's your evidence? In a digital age where a lot of work can be done from home, you think working from home is a crime? I dare you people to try me!
The people doing legit work have nothing to worry about.

Scamming is the culture and you know it.

If you are legit, u should hate them to, because they limit your opportunities and paint the entire country bad

Nkem96:
Greetings everyone!

I'm not going to bore y'all with a long epistle; I really need your help guys. No, I'm not asking for financial assistance. All I'm asking/begging is for y'all to support my dreams.

I'm a student hoping to further his education next year (God willing). I'll be turning 23 this year. Lost my parents at a very tender age, and ever since it hasn't been easy for me.

Recently, the urge to commit suicide have been in my mind for sometime now and it kinda scares me.

I have been looking for a legitimate way to make money online; so that I will be able to further my education and possibly plan for the future. So, I created a YouTube channel with main focus on entertainment. Honestly guys, it's been quite difficult; especially with the new YouTube monetization policy which states that one must have at least '1000 subscribers or 4000 watch hours' before a channel can be monetized.

Currently I have 9 subscribers, which means that I need 991 more before I can monetize my channel.

That's why I'm calling on all my Nairaland family to please support dreams by subscribing to my YouTube channel. Subscription is free. And it will not take more than two (2) minutes of your time.

"We rise by lifting others" please guys, this has been troubling me for days now. I believe you guys can help me make this happen. That's why I'm asking for your help.

Please guys don't ignore me. 2 minutes of your time will make a lasting impact in my life.

Here's the link to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCI87DWtq6vShfkqusB82K2g

Mods, please help me take this to front page for more audience. God bless.
Your content is crap, look for something unique other than gossip like going to extreme Parts of Nigeria, filming the culture and people.

America is likely the capital of drug addicts and sex-obsessed people. Still, their police don't make it a point of duty to extort people.
Anyway, tell me, what exactly are you refuting in my comment? We know for example, that security situation is bad, but aren't police checkpoints just there to extort 50-100 from motorists in most of those places while they fail to do their jobs?
When you mix all the above with low intelligence, you get nada.

Do the maths, i used to believe in Nigerians until I realized they're true retards.

Only 20 percent have common sense in that country, most of the educated ajebos left , leaving the country's progress in the hands of demented illiterates.
