EsotericMonk: I watched yesterday on BBC where they featued the PM of Ethiopia, Abhiy Ahmad Ali , a 42yr old chap who has turned Ethiopia around in just 9 months of office. Appointed a female president and half a cabinet of women, released all political prisoners, jump started the economy and united the nation. Then I ask myself, why can't we get it right in Nigeria? Bad leadership isn't an African thing, we can get it right if we put sentiments aside and vote for a credentialed candidate.
I'm not championing Sowore or any of the popular dolts in the front line but yeah we do have young and promising candidates among the lot . That guy in Ethiopia is an enigma, he didn't blame his predecessors but went to work immediately unlike Buhari |

martowskin1: I don't understand u bros...... Are u saying this nation is in a good state,
Are u telling me, u are not seeing what is happening in this country,
Bro Nigeria is sinking seriously, forget all this media report am Talking about feasibilities
Am not one of those party blinded followers,
I voted for buhari despite being a southerner ...... My reason is atleast, as a former general, he will be able to tackle the security issue in the north,
In terms of economy I was hoping he will appoint the right people to help him out.... Which is ok..
at a time when we knew GEJ was confused in terms of security, PmB was the best option..
Its logical.... But since this guy came in, security issue is moving from bad to worst.....
I invited my friend from UK for my wedding, he was happy to come, but 3days later he said he is no coming, I had to press him to tell me why the sudden change of mind...
When this guy drop matters for me, i felt like crying, not because he is not coming but the kin d of information he was given about Nigeria, it's nothing different from a zoo..
I know u will say PDP 16yrs, to hell with that, I don't freaking care, are they not same people ruling this nation for 30yrs now....
Swapping party like pant....
I have a cocoa farm in the west, do u know how many times have seek for help as regards to program they claim they have for farmers.... Bros all na wash... U will better do ur thing than expecting any help from them
But yet report will say another thing.... How long will they continue to deceive us....
The recent card now is blaming one party after another, are they not same people moving within this parties....
4yrs is gone.... Buhari will win the next election, any sensible person will know this, eather by crook or by hook ...
Gradually 8yrs will go and they will keep mentioning 16yrs ..... This is a balanced viewpoint, not APC/PDP bias we see all over this website |

When mainstream media is no longer able to give news blackout to the Boko Haram onslaught and how our Army is now on the defensive instead of offensive then we are standing on a precipice. See the news before this one where most of the southern soldiers have fled Baga and six towns. Let northern Muslim soldiers go and fight the battle, it's easier, they speak same language, religion and know the terrain and not arranging python dance 3 for northern soldiers in Umuahia 34webers: Army no need to talk anything sef. We all know that is the handwork of ipob pigs and idiots as one of their lies to win support for their igbo christian candidate in person of Atiku abubakar. I feel your pain bro, he continues to fail despite your wish that he performs magic to fulfill his promises weeks to elections |

nonny001: The osu system in Igbo land can never end because the real osus are cowards. YES! They can't come out and fight this rubbish to a standstill. Once the talk of osu is brought up, all of them will hide. And to think that they are one of the most educated people in Igbo land beats my imagination.
Another man is discriminating against you, chancing you, in this 21st century. And you accept. How won't it continue?
Somebody will say he or she will not marry you and you will be feeling self-pity. Men, f**k self-pity. If the person doesn't want to marry you let him go to hell.
I remember when I was in primary school, they used to call me long neck. Each time they call me long neck, I will either start throwing tantrums or hide myself. So what they do is that anytime they want to humble me, they will call me long neck. But the day that they called me long neck and I looked at them and said, "Oh, yes! I have long neck. And so what?" That day, long neck ended.
Osus, you need to come out and fight this menace. I mean, you are not handicapped. If you guys come out, there are lots of Igbos who don't believe in this nonsense. We will support you. But to expect us to be at the battlefront? Mbanu. That one can't happen.
I can't be in the battlefront of another man's battle. I no fit dey carry another person matter for my head like say na my own. I can only support. We go support you.
The so-called osus are educated and well connected. So they should use their education, brains, and connection to fight this thing. Else, I don't see it ending o.
Such a barbaric tradition. It has ended, don't allow yourself to be the first to receive the plague placed on the promoters at Agukwu Nri |

Neddyogu: Oral tradition has it that before the advent of the European, there were certain people dedicated to the service of the gods. They might have sought protection from the shrine of the gods in times of war (as no warrior would shed blood in the shrine of the gods without incurring the wrath of d deity, it was considered safe to go to d gods for protection) and by so doing, these individuals dedicated themselves to the service of the deity that has spared their lives. Another way people got dedicated to a deity was when they are presented to the deity (involuntarily much like the biblical Nazarenes in ancient Israel) by their masters or owners (these were captured prisoners of war. It was a common practice to subject captives of war to a form of servitude as it was more humane than outright execution). With the passage of time, they formed a strata of society. They were Untouchable, no social interactions were permitted with freeborn citizens. Much of that has changed over the course of the late 20th century. Those referred to the now abolished Osu where among the most important and influential Igbos in all strata of life today. They are among the most educated and politically savvy because they embraced the colonialists who appointed them as warrant chiefs when other Igbos were still sceptical about the white man and they also engaged more with other tribes in Nigeria politics and got appointments into critical positions under the military and other sectors. Their offprings are among the most beautiful and handsome Igbos because only the strongest and most pretty were sacrificed to the gods then. These are few facts to be added. |

You guys will just come online and be spewing rubbish.
Nnewi people are known to be very accomodating, friendly and above all peaceful. They don't discriminate or segregate....i wonder where this ur unfounded lies is coming from.....
Be truthful coz there is no truth in what u are saying...be guided. Every Igbo know that you are not saying the fact, discrimination is the keyword in relationship between an average Nnewi indigene and other Igbos. They try to look down on other Igbos which has made many Igbos to avoid marrying from their community, the only language they speak is money and there is a feeling that to marry an Nnewi person is to marry perpetual pressure to meet up, make money or die trying to meet their needs. Nnewi need to change their mentality for the sake of the current generation of their youths, no sentiments attached here. |
