With the new Forex policy, Would there still be need to fund blocked account using formA? Because we should be able to obtain at same price from the parallel market. According to reports, It will take CBN up to 4 weeks to clear unprocessed applications that has piled up as a result of waiting on the new policy to come into play.

I dont know much about aerospace but if it engineering make sure you are part of NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) from beginning . Find out when they have their annual conference and book your ticket even if it is not popular in your school. Have your Resume ready and prepare well for interviews . Make sure you tap into that network during the conference by selling urself well and pass your Resume to everybody . ... Start with aiming for internship in NSBE conference to get your foot in

@nineteenth, people make sacrifices for their dreams. The prospects of having a better life as a graduate of a German university is high. What is 90k and danfo? If you have been earning 90k for 3yrs now ,I can boldly tell you that the value of your salary is now around 45k. The things you could buy for 20k last 2yrs will cost around 40k nw.

For some this German dream is just a " let me try thing" for others it's a major step to their futures. If it is worth it or not is based on your vision. For people who have a strong plan, quitting a job or selling a property is a must pay price. You would be amazed if you know what many have done to raise blocked account cash. I know a guy who was working for a petroleum company and earning well. Before he got his job he had this German dream, so he worked and saved for 3yrs. After 3yrs, he quitted his relatively high paying job and left for Germany( many would never try that).Today, He is not regretting it one bit.

I will never make a decision for you. Weigh your options, analyse and decide.
Since you have an admission, you are one leg in.

I don't know y some of us want to go to germany,but all I know, we must strife to make it in life no matter the conditions.

imagine urself having a good paying job after your studies,won't u live a desirable life?
one can do anything to raise his/her fund, its a dream.let us not be discourage abt the fact of doing menial job zB Kinderserziehung,katze oder Hund pützen,Auto waschen, Gartensarbeit,Haushaltsarbeit ,im Restaurant oder Kino arbeiten.

I got 2330/2400...using old SAT scoring system. Obviously my SAT score got me admissions with full scholarships to all three best engineering schools in US...CALTECH, MIT and Georgia Tech. Best decision I ever made was to go to CALTECH; my parents were leaning more to MIT for the name.

Sir, CBN has suspended all $$ transactions till Monday when the new rate would be out.
So as far as I'm concerned, there's no official rate. CBN approves all form A and it takes sometime so don't be surprised if they don't charge you @ 199

Lets see what happens next week. People are understandably very worried about the potential increase in Blocked account funding. It is unfortunate.

I personally feel for the guy that his bank couldn't bid for his funding last week...terrible!

1. Yes u can secure an admission with ur Waec but I hope u also have at least a first year transcript to back it. Age is not a barrier
2. U can still meet up if u really want it but ur documents should be sent via DHL/FEDEX cos u don't have time for NIPOST
3. Go to daad.de, there are so many schools that do not require TOEFL/IELTS as part of requirement so long as u have done English tought program here for naija....... U could also check if u could secure a place with TOELF/IELTS.
4. Have u heard about the new forex policy? From Monday guys could be looking for 2.5m-3m to fund block account instead of 1.8m

Moneygram now is 332 to a $ unlike before when it was 290. Western union too according to first bank is presently 347 to a $ unlike before too(last week enquiry). But you don't have to wait till eternity before you get it done unlike before; it is very fast now but the rate is killing. I dont have any proof for financial means because my acc has not be funded. What document would I scan and email to them in place of this to book an appointment. And what if my blocked account has not been credited before my appointment day. What can I present to them at the consulate as proof of financial means. Abeg na JJC I be o. I got admitted to TUHH.

futurewise please don't make it sound like am a crook ok I have nothing to gain by saying they debited me same day if they didn't. My dad is not the CEO of diamondbank so I can't be running a free advert. I repeat, I applied and was debited same day(Wednesday). The lady even pre-informed me that my account would be debited that day bcs according to her CBN was bidding at that moment. I saw her submit mine and later same day I got a debit alert of 1.823000. This formA thing all depends on who did it for u. Some bankers don't know the tricks involved in doing it while others do. Let me stop here before I say another thing u would doubt...... Next time pls always verify

Hello winter peepz I applied for Form A today at diamond bank and I received my debit alert today....... Isn't that incredible? And there rate is cheaper compared to some banks like GTB, UnionBank etc. Though the transaction was done with USD but when I tried converting it I found out that it is around 225/euro. Unionbank/GTB is around 240/euro.

I started this jouney sinz 2014,unfortunate I was duped then cos I didn't knw abt this thread though,came here and read through part one and I learnt abt STUDIENKOLLEG,then I encouraged myself and learnt German to B1 level.
I got an invitation to wrt an entry test into studienkolleg konstanZ dis summer,I did my interview and applied for Form A,unfortunately,the time was too short and I withdrew my visa application.
I replied agn for winter and I've gotten invitation from abt 4 schools and STil expecting from 2 more.
I reAplied agn for visa with an invitation letter from STUDIENKOLeG KIEL, my interview was on 22.04.2016.
I initiated form A sinz last two weeks with sterling bnk Bt the pain full truth is that my accnt hasn't been debited till today.
now the problem is,ny aufnametest is on 6.06.2016 and truth be told,I dnt c any possibility of meeting up with this deadline,unless Gid intervenes
my dad is tired of this stuff and he told me that its my last chance of tring Germany.
now my question is,I hv abt 3 more letters from other studienkolleg
with different dates for entrance test

wat should I do?I dnt wanna miss dis winter agn

OMG 2months? Two months is crazy. Form A is what is still delaying my Visa up till now. I did in UnionBank too for almost 2wks but each time I call the Form A guy he tells me no forex in CBN. Which bank can do this form A thing faster pls. Suggestions needed

I got a mail notifying me that they have accessed my documents, and that I should check my status in the KIT online Platform. But each time I try putting my details, it keeps saying incorrect details. I tried resetting my password with my Email and DOB, and it says email or DOB incorrect. And I am positive that the details are correct. Please my fellow NLers what do you suggest I do?
