I beg to differ. I work in a multinational and I can loudly say to your hearing that I didn't know nobody to land the job. God came through for me.

In this life God moves in mysterious ways when he wants to bless a man, either he uses familiar people or total strangers. The latter is usually the case.

The OP is ascribing the glory due to God to another man. God used someone familiar to upgrade him, after all there are those who know connected people but yet they are still struggling.

My advice will be to first leave the marriage for now with her kids and work hard on getting her fellowship before thinking of ever getting back into that marriage.
