I applied for sowp and sp for my children, we got medical request and it has been updated to pass for all of us.

Here is my concern, one of my children's PPR dropped almost 48hrs ago, however, no update for the rest of us since then.

I sent a mail yesterday, but nothing so far. What's your advice to me?

Passport Submission Information after Study Permit Approval.

For Lagos Office:

Walk into any DHL or UPS store, you can google & check for the one's near you.

This is the Address you will mail your documents to:

Documents to go with to the DHL Office:

- Two photocopies of your international passport data page
- Your International Passport itself
- Passport request letter
- Biometric confirmation slip (the document you were given after u did your Biometrics)
-Two copies of signed VFS consent forms

The VFS consent form is available at https://www./vfsconsentform

Put everything in a Big Brown Envelope,

Write your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NO. & Email Address on the Envelope boldly

When you go to DHL, also indicate that you want a two way courier service. Then provide them the address you want your passport sent to when ready.

For Abuja Office:

Put all the documents below in an envelope and send to:

Documents:
-2 duly signed consent forms.
-2 copies of passport data page

That is why it is good to get all info before an action. But I understand the anxiousness that comes with PPR. My sarcasm for your initial question was because your situation was not explained. Effective communication matters. You will need to pay for a return courier to get your passport back through mail or plan to pick it up yourself.
If it is not possible for you to pick it up in person, then pay for the return courier, it’s about 18710 I think, then mail the receipt to VFS and follow up with a call. I got someone to do this last week and he has received his passport. I hope this helps.

At this point, i think something is seriously wrong somewhere. How can application submitted in September be ignored and those submitted afterwards are getting approved. What exactly did i do wrong? I have seen soo many December apps approved. Even those submitted in January are getting approved....

My spouse left in September but we waited for a semester to end so we can gather more funds and attach school transcripts.

I sent an email and webform to IRCC last week stressing how the delay is affecting us to which they replied that they are handling a lot of applications at the moment and we should exercise patience.

The wait was indeed emotionally exhausting but it ended in praise.

yes if you can the explain the lump sum in your SOP. You can say the Mf is for saving purpose so you are moving it to your commercial account for your study purpose since you know MF POF isn't accepted

Can i transfer the money to a commercial bank account and then attach POF of both the commercial and microfinace bank to my application?

There is no option for Spouse Open Work Permit on the new portal unless it has just been added.

Goodafternoon House, please based on the medical request from IRCC for a friend, she did it at IOM, she called IOM and they told her the day it was sent, do you all think is ideal she includes the date it was sent to IRCC in the letter she's writing to IRCC and also attaching the medical sheet.

If the family member can send the required funds to your account over a period of time and you can prove that you are financially stable, then you can apply together but if not, let her apply alone while you join later.

Wife got admission to study in Canada, but will be under sponsorship of a family member whose statement of account will be presented during application. It's quite unfortunate that I don't have enough money to present and stand as a sponsor for her.

We just got married, no children yet. Is it reasonable enough for me to go along with her as a dependent because she wants us to go together as couple so I can work and support her studies or I should stay off the picture of moving along with her for now in order not to put her own study visa application at risk?

I am just gathering documents to apply for SOWP. As it is obtaining a leave letter from work seems like a long thing moreso as I don't know when the visa will be approved. Can I skip attaching a leave letter in my application and just explain that my employer will approve a leave of absence once my visa is approved?

TESTIMONY TIME

It’s been a long ride with IRCC. Approval after three applications.

I got a fully funded Ph.D. admission last year in June for fall resumption but deferred admission to January so I could have ample time to prepare my visa application. I applied from China in September and rejection came in within two weeks on personal assets and financial status, immigration status, and purpose of visit grounds. I was devastated, to say the least.

I explained my ordeal here on Nairaland and was advised to come back home to reapply. An immigration lawyer from my school helped me review my LOE for reapplication. I however panicked when flights from Nigeria were banned in December so I reapplied from China. Your guess is as good as mine. Another refusal, based on the same reasons as above. So, I packed my bags and came back home.

For the third and final application, I submitted same documents as before. The only thing that changed was updating my LOE with the information that I am back home and applying for a new CAQ to be sent to Nairobi office.

Final application was sent in on the 12th of March through the new portal.

Medical Examination – 30th June
Medical passed - 15th July
PPR- 29th July

Kindly note that in both refusal cases, I requested GCMS notes before reapplying. The reasons were quite vague. I guess their main concern was applying from a country I had “temporary ties” to.

After 12 weeks processing time, I sent an email. It was after this I got the medical request. I also sent emails when my new medicals was not updated on time.

About the medical request, instead of waiting for IRCC, you can book an appointment upfront at either IOM Abuja or Lagos or Qlife clinic Lagos.
