Apart from the gin and rum the bandits are now addicted to, they now inject Coca cola into their veins for high i can confirm this 100 percent.
The recent ban on weekly markets by kaduna state government will further degrade them in the bushes because only small shops in the villages will be available to them now and they are frequently loosing ally villages and no trader will risk trading with them now seeing that the governor had no interest in wasting scarce resources to feed them while they await trail.
The current military operations and the large one coming will not stamp out banditary in the Northwest but it will give villagers some relief during the forth coming harvest and dry season.

Police tactical operatives in Zamfara state, in collaboration with other security agencies, have repelled a large number of armed bandits, who came to Shinkafi town in their hundreds, with intent to attack innocent people of the area.

In a statement issued to Newsmen in Gusau Friday, the the Public Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu, said the bandits, who were from the camp of a notorious bandits kingpin, “TURJI” were heavily engaged in a gun duel by the Joint security forces stationed in Shinkafi to safeguard the lives and property of the community.

“At the end of the gun battle that lasted for hours, one of the bandits was fatally injured, while others escaped with possible bullet wounds,” he explained.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ayuba N Elkana, had already directed the immediate deployment of more security operatives to complement the existing security arrangements that will curtail any further attack by the bandits.

“The Commissioner of Police further commended the resilience of the operatives and charged them to sustain the tempo so that the state can be adequately protected,” he stated.

I don't know how you come about that assumption. And what's reliable in this context is subjective. It's like casting aspersions where there is none. The JF-17 and the M346 don't fill the same role in the NAF doctrine of combat. The first which is supersonic is purely an air superiority fighter whilst the latter which is transonic is mainly for LIFT & ground attack.

It was always going to happen when you put a decent radar in a LIFT, add capability to fire AA missiles, two engines and ordnance capacity above 2500kg. I think M346 FA is more than just Alpha Jet replacement.
It's GRIFO346 radar can see > 90km
