Disneylady:If you had said you preferred Messi, while acknowledging Ronaldo's capabilities, there wouldn't have been a problem. But most of you want to show how much you love Messi. And you think a good way of doing that is by insulting or trying to pull down the only person better than him. No matter how good he gets or what he does, you'll never want to say he's the best. So he had to realize it for himself. Messi is football, yet he couldn't do anything against Juventus for 180+mins while Cristiano scored two in just the first half. Don't bother trying to defend him there. You can't. Anyway, it's obvious Messi has achieved some demigod status to you. So no point trying to tell you anything more. Cristiano and Messi are the best two ever. All the others are below them. |
Disneylady:And how does that stop him from being the best footballer? Watch the Ballon D'or award speech and the conversation between Cristiano Ronaldo and Nazario Ronaldo. Why do you guys hate Cristiano? Have you ever given him a chance before? Just watch him play without trying to hate him. And try not to listen to what everyone says about him. |
xreal:The only two who can even talk in that Photo are Pele and Ronaldo Nazario de Lima. And both of them have acknowledged Cristiano's greatness. |
Midgut:Don't allow hate to speak for you. |
STILESGANG:Just ignore. |
Lero15:I checked the site. I also watched that match. He congratulated Arbeloa a few seconds after Arbeloa's celebration, and Arbeloa himself wasn't offended. |
Olamyyde:It's quite obvious you enjoy hating him. No matter, everyone must do what they enjoy. I don't want to talk much about the fact that it happened in 2015 and we're about to cross into 2018. I won't also talk about the fact that Arbeloa himself didn't complain, but you who have no business with it, are the one carrying it up and down. When you have a target to meet and in a split second from achieving that target, a slight change occurs. Even if it's to your advantage, won't you react? You talk like Ronaldo is meant to be some form of Angel. He's a human. He reacted. And on that same pitch within the same match, he congratulated Arbeloa on his goal. But you wouldn't know that, would you? No need to bother yourself. It's okay if you hate him. All I'm asking is that you shouldn't add lies to it. |
Olamyyde:Lol. You bring me a quote and happily tell me it's from Goal.com. You don't even know much about the site you just cited. The same Goal that took a picture of Ronaldo after he missed a shot and said that he was angry because his teammate scored. Then again, let's assume he said that. How does that translate to him being angry when his teammates score or him only wanting individual awards. Someone who sold his golden boot just to provide funds for a child's treatment, you say he strives after individual awards. He had an award speech last night. Did you watch? He acknowledged very many people and said he was lucky to have received what he got. He has acknowledged Messi, Neymar and some others repeatedly, even yesterday. Yet you guys run all over spreading hate against him. |
Olamyyde:Why do you feel the need to spread lies and hate against Ronaldo? He's a fellow human for God's sake. He has not done any wrong to you. Even if you want to support Messi, must you lie against Ronaldo to do it? Even Ronaldo once said that his Euro trophy means more to him than all the UCL's and individual trophies. Ronaldo is just another human trying to do his best for his club and country. If you prefer Messi, it's fine. But it doesn't make sense to hear rumuour and start spreading it all over. He never gets angry when his teammate scores and he doesn't. I know you're not happy that he is the best in the world, but deriving joy from lying against him is not sensible. |
Keneking:Is she sewing background? |
Narldon:Why not Like for Ronaldo and Share for Messi ![]() |
wizzywisdom:Have you ever heard of Sony? Or HTC? or OnePlus ![]() Even the Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 have no physical home or option keys. So what "premium brand" are you talking about? Dude carry your hate elsewhere. You don't even have a legitimate reason for your hate. You just started ranting about what you know nothing about. They didn't force you to buy their phones. The "premium brands" are available for you. |
Okikiade:How stable societies work indeed. So you're now comparing Nigeria to Germany or Norway. Don't decieve yourself. Nigeria does not have money. Keep waiting for better education with the fees you're paying. |
izzou:Nigerians like free things in general. It's like they think Nigeria has all the money in the world. In some other countries, parents save millions over years in preparation to send their children to good universities. While here in Nigeria, they are looking for how to pay 20k a year for education. Yet, they expect education here and abroad to be the same. |
safarigirl:It's all formalities...following the tradition. I don't think the groom is actually meant to get confused while selecting the bride. And I think they did well too. That "fake bride" is really beautiful...some people might even reconsider ![]() |
safarigirl:You want them to create a clone? |
momentusjay: Savage!Well it's good now that everybody knows Cristiano is better than Messi. |
momentusjay:That's a nice comparison. |
NwaObinkita:So they should have killed him. Why you dey reason like mumu?
|
Desyner:Guy don't argue too much. These people never learn. Just make your point and leave. |
Rorachy:If the government should increase that 20k to 70k and use it to develop your university, you'll be surprised how much better your university will become (Assuming no one steals the money). In a bid to subsidize education in Nigeria, the government has succeeded in making the universities underfunded. And that's the cause of all this ASUU wahala. Lack of sufficient funds. As for that your line up there, make a comprehensive research in the running costs for just electricity (24/7) in a standard university, and compare it to the total fees paid by those students in the "profit oriented" private universities. You might be surprised how much they spend. Not to talk of paying workers salaries, expansion and maintenance. They would be true idiots if they would decide to reduce the standard of their universities to nearly nothing, just to satisfy their "church members". They give scholarships to their members and that's enough. At least it will enable serious students to receive quality education. |
crotonite:We have heard. Don't pull this kinda joke again. See as Divay22 made me afraid for no reason ![]() |
DonMekino:I won't make too much argument here. Leave other universities aside. Focus on Nigerian ones. Now, make adequate research on the running costs for electricity alone in a university (24/7 for a year). Not to talk of salaries, other general running cost. There are many things I don't remember. That's why I said make a comprehensive research. Now relate that to the fees paid in such universities. You may find something different. Sure, some might make profit, but not as much as people think. |
mhisbliss:The same Mhisbliss You don't seem the same ![]() Nice thread BTW. |
martineverest:So why do you think they are asking for resource control? If they got all the proceeds of their oil, you wouldn't be able to compare Lagos to any of the oil producing States. They share their proceeds with the rest of Nigeria and it's not fair to them. |
soberdrunk:I think a monopoly on certain sectors by him wouldn't be so bad. I mean, some of these things are simple things the government could have just closed their eyes and built. But instead, they decided to let us wallow in the repercussions of their poor reasoning. Now this same Dangote is rumored to have began preparations for a standard private university with focus on science and technology. Tertiary education sector is not known to be an avenue for making profit. This guy is using his money to make things better. Honestly, I see no reason why he shouldn't have control on some of Nigeria's resources. After all, he won't use millions to start buying Christmas trees ![]() |
dominique:No be Nigeria again? ![]() We can only hope. But if someone actually derails this refinery from full operations, don't be surprised. After all, this is the same country whose Ministry of Science and Technology thought it a great achievement to produce pencils by the same 2019 ![]() |
Guy I don't think it good for you to enter University now. You are not ready for tertiary education. Why not repeat SS2 and see if things improve. If they don't, you can always repeat. After all, you have all the time in the world. |
Divay22:They took it as a joke. And I can't really blame them. It does appear comical. |
