Family / Re: "Virginity Doesn't Guarantee A Successful Marriage" Is A Statement Of Stupidity by DrayZee: 5:04pm On Oct 03, 2021
shaybebaby:

I'm reading as I go along so if I've been mentioned or I see something of interest, I respond.

That said, we are sort of in accord here. You don't see women creating threads policing men's sexual conduct. Neither does it matter what personal choice one makes about their body- be it abstinence or not. Its their business.
So women shouldn't be shamed into being one, neither should men be shamed into not being one .
Without context, in and of itself, it IS worthless. Much like a lot things. It's about relative value individuals choose to place on it. It is valuable to someone who perceives it as valuable. And valueless to someone who perceive as such.
The koko is no one is to be shamed into or out of their personal stance.

Right.

More or less yes because I don't see folks from that society dying trying to cross the med in dinghies. Na una dey try "japa", na una dey carry virginity for head like gala.
Cognitive dissonance much? undecided
Lol. You seem unable to reply one person at a time. Who is trying to “japa” or carrying virginity on their head?
Don’t insult virgins for being virgins. It doesn’t guarantee a successful marriage (yes), but it isn’t a worthless attribute either. Allow those who value it to value it in peace. That’s all that matters.
The OP and some other commenters are being vile in their support of the above, which is wrong.
But these days, people are literally trying to demonize virgins. They did it to men successfully, now everyone is asking why there are few virgin men. Because it’s a shameful attribute for a man these days.

We’re getting there sha. The demonizing will soon be complete, and women will finally be “free”. All this talk will stop.
We will achieve civilization at last.

Never have I heard it. Tell you what, one of your ilk mentioned reddit and quora. Why don't you go over there and repeat the foolish stance on here? Come back and report on the feedback you get. undecided
What foolish stance?
“Virginity doesn’t guarantee a successful marriage, not being a virgin also does not.”
Is that it?
I don’t see the need for feedback in that statement. It’s quite clear.
What exactly are you people angry about?
And I wouldn’t use Reddit. Being a virgin is more or less an insult there. That’s probably where you want us to be.

Mentally enslaved people. Even with access to information at their finger tips, with everything going on the world, natural disasters, global economic instability, poor access to healthcare/education, a global pandemic, rising food prices, bad governance etc.
In the face of weightier issues facing mankind, their most pressing problem is..*drum roll* ....virginity.
It would be funny if it wasn't was soooo pitiful. undecided
Yes of course...citizens of more advanced nations only discuss about the factors you’ve listed above.
They don’t say anything about their preferences in non-platonic relationships.

unlike the law it holds no real tangible value in society except momentarily in the minds of those who celebrate it. Once it is gone, like salt in the rain- those who were enamored are forced to move on or seek similar excitement elsewhere for that value... the law on the other hand is ever present, governing society and the lives of all those who live under it. Comparing it to this other social construct is akin to lipsrsealed. . undecided
Value (in the society) is decided by what people collectively decide to cherish. That holds for virginity, as it holds for the law.
Fortunately (or not), these days, people have collectively decided to devalue virginity. So the worries of the OP and others should soon be abated.
We’ll eventually be having threads about how we should stop shaming virgins.

So a lady does not deserve to be blessed with a virgin man? You people just put a lot of stupid pressure on women, and it's sick.

Also, if you can't share your opinion without insults, you don't deserve to be heard.
Do women want a virgin man?
Romance / Re: Virginity Is Just A Social Construct by DrayZee: 10:30pm On Oct 01, 2021
It may be a social construct, but so are all our laws and widely accepted values. The fact that it’s a social construct doesn’t make it valueless. Chastity is still quite a feat, especially in this age where sex is all everyone talks about.

These days, the shame/stigma is actually now on those who are virgins.

OP...don’t be distraught because of the insults you see here. You seem to have a good heart. Unfortunately, some people don’t care much for that.
You’ve seen a good number of red flags (from your previous thread and this one).
You know what to do if you want peace of mind.
Family / Re: Dr Penking Receives Death Threats Over DNA Laboratory Opening In Lekki by DrayZee: 8:33pm On Sep 30, 2021
etrange:

You guys are too eager to believe anything against women even when it insults your intelligence. Even a baby can tell this is purely marketing. You think one woman just woke to go after him as if he's the only DNA expert in Lagos? Or the cheats now have a body fighting for them? Dude is just promoting his business. The so-called 75% is like black Friday. It's just a percentage of whatever he says his original price was.
Do you use Twitter?
There may be other testing centers, but this guy was tweeting quite regularly about DNA testing, his proposed partnership to build a new testing center, as well as the fact that the centers were getting ready.
His tweets got thousands of engagements (likes, retweets and comments).
So why do you think it’s impossible that someone who is massively publicizing his center on Twitter would get negative engagements (or death threats), just because other centers exist (who are not on Twitter, nor do they publicize themselves).

When this paternity fraud/ DNA testing thing started on Twitter, it was like a new concept. You should’ve seen how virtually all Twitter women were on edge. Insults and curses flying once anyone mentions anything about conducting DNA tests. You’d have thought they planned on committing paternity fraud even before finding a partner.
It may be marketing, but people have received death threats for much less. His claims are far from impossible,

I think it is wisdom to act like you don't care what rumors are being peddled but do your own personal findings and react however you like, off the media. For all we know, this guy might be giving Jane hell right now.
I don’t think he’ll be giving her “hell” sha.
Someone who married Janemena would know that news of this sort is inevitable (whether true or not).
Their marriage probably isn’t the conventional one we are accustomed to.

The pleasure in watching some of these guys get disillusioned about their exclusive polygamous nature would be sooooo worth it .
Nigerian men? The ones always calling women hoes/ashawo, think they’re the only ones who are polygamous?
Are you sure about that?

LilMissFavvy:
When I heard that DNA tests will reduce by 70%, I began to wonder the motive behind the reduction, is it to make money or to scatter homes? They think they want to help men by reducing it's costs, but they do not know that many men will develop heart attacks, most of them their lives will never remain the same again if their wives are guilty. As long as a child bears your name, and grows to love you like a parent, why fret, if you can forgive your wife, fine.
Money. Definitely.
Scattering homes? Not really. If the man has reasons not to trust the woman, then I don’t think that’s much of a home.
The outrage from men (discovering how common paternity fraud is), and the heavy defense from women (for reasons no one knows) when the new test centers were proposed, shows that it’s going to be a lucrative business grin
A doctor spearheading one of the new test centers started receiving death threats after he announced it.
Women are not smiling wink.

It is not a gender war thread it is just calling out the obvious some of the men on nairaland are crying over paternity fraud but when their fellow men cheat they don't use the same tone they use on women.

No one wants to be cheated on but then some men should stop justifying infidelity and shaming those women who choose to not take it that is where the problem lies, the excuse and failure to hold men to account is the reason why infidelity hasn't reduced but keeps on increasing as men are also searching for other men's wives
Who shamed women for choosing not to take infidelity? When did that ever happen?

I didn't see this until someone mentioned me while quoting you, The point is that failure to hold men accountable for their promiscuity results to paternity fraud when people try to absolvge someone of infidelity and don't condemn what needs to be condemnable these men will continue sleeping with wives of other men
I didn't justify paternity fraud I chose to see it from another angle.
So mens “promiscuity” is why married women sleep around?
You people blame men for all your shortcomings.
You also wrote that with what you’ve seen, you can also be sure that women are also promiscuous, right?
Should I now come out asking why women are outraged over cheating men when other members of their gender also cheat?
Or maybe men are only promiscuous because there’s an equal number of women willing to enable their promiscuity to come to fruition....therefore, we should blame women.

That’s what whataboutism gets you.

For Civil and Mechanical Engineering students, it’s good to be proficient in CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks).
You should also look into programming to some extent. Python is quite versatile and I think it’s a good place to start. C/C++ are also good.

In fact, the guy below has said it all.

I’d have preferred this answer from the first person I replied. Twice as Tall should’ve been a failure since it barely has anything to do with Fela (if anything at all). And one of the Fela samples should also have been Burna’s biggest song, since Fela is the only reason Burna is successful.

that thing pass 2 or 3 ooh! Over 50 at least 20 are Fela samples. 10 are samples of other artists.
30 out of his 50 songs have samples.

But this does in no way discount his achievements. Even fela's children are not as commercially successful as Burna.
Can you help me list 5-10 of those “Fela samples”?

And he was trolled bitterly, was he not?

Well, look on the brighter side...

This loss should re-focus and reorient them.

Even in the absence of a world class coach, everyone just has to be serious. Especially the midfield and strikers!!!

Lille didn't have much, but worked their butts off to get that top trophy last season!!! Leicester did the same thing with highly average players and a manager who couldn't be regarded as world class!

As for Ole... I really don't get what his problem is. I sense he has quite limited ambitions.
Exactly. He would’ve been very happy to end that game with a draw.
Because removing both Bruno and Ronaldo doesn’t make any sense.
