Rubbish news. Post UTME that was being used to check the excesses of JAMB has been removed. So, those who paid to have answers to the questions will now have an edge over those who studied for the exams. And what will be the fate of those wrongly scored? This year's Jamb that everyone knows is not credible is what the government deemed fit to be a yardstick for entrance into universities. Now they are talking "sreening".
I wonder how these people think. |

Nice incentive, but in this harsh economy, 23k per month will go nowhere. And since they will be teaching all day, they won't have time to lay hands on other ventures.
They could make this better by providing somewhat free transportation, and maybe take housing costs upon themselves by creating some estates where the teachers will stay. This would make the situation far better.
....that is if the government is actually able to do this in the first place... |

T2Justman: Help me beg Mods make them take-am go homepage This write-up just sums up every thing I had ever thought about the JAMB and Post-UTME. I pray this write-up receives traction and gains adequate media attention to be recognized by those at the academic helm of affairs. Especially the part about remarking the examination, and also about the English scores. Even if I would accept the other score(knowing fully well I did far better than that), my score in English was just a clear determining factor that the result I was sent did not belong to me. I had personally answered English questions from the previous years(scoring 80> in all). So the result sent to me was just not possible. I have also been thinking that since the test is Computer Based, why can't we see our scores immediately after writing the examination? Why does it take so long? Kudos to whoever wrote this! Let me call the mods: Lalasticlala, Olawalebabs, Fynestboi, Richiez |

Education › Re: Prepare For 2016/2017 Post UTME ---- Nigeria Universities Tells Students by DrayZee: 9:31pm On Jun 04, 2016 |
Educationentry: The Nigerian universities has said that all those students who passed the just concluded 2016/2017 (UTME) exams and got up to 180 which is the cut off mark for all universities in Nigeria, should go and start preparing for the forth coming POST UTME exams which is coming up in 2 month time and not to feel relaxed despite the suggestion made by the ministry of education.
There is no how all students that applied and pass this year JAMB will get into the university at once. It’s never possible for that to happen, because if it is like this, virtually all the Nigerian polytechnics would be empty because no student in Nigeria would ever wish to go to polytechnics to study rather everyone would like to go to the university.
Hence all students are advised to start preparing for POST UTME exams before it too late. Universities can conduct screening exercise, that simply means that there is still going to be an exam.
http://www.educationentry.com/2016/06/prepare-for-20162017-post-utme-nigeria.html The source though... When did all the Nigerian Universities and their heads come together to contradict a law by the FG? Improve on your site. |
