A software for 2015/2016 conflicting 2016/2017 isn't scientifical, it would be extremely wrong to assume that the problem here is the conflict. If we are all familiar with so many of these quiz's tools available everywhere in the world, they all adopt the same marking techniques, the marking engine running beneath the interface is what is responsible for the score. And there is no how to marking engines runs beneath a single program.

The error, could be that the questions are not properly assigned the mark weight for each of the questions available for student to take for examination.

First thing, as a citizen of this world, where others get it right, we ought to be sensitive enough on the type of information given out at any point in time whenever there is need for such. Saying according to our source in Jamb. For crying out loud, it is possible for me to be in jamb and not having idea of how xyz comes together before playing together. The "department" in all organisations establishes this theory, is the so called source in jamb an IT officer?

One of the big factors playing down on us all is our attitude to resist a positive change. I am not in support of Jamb, but truth be told, enough of this I can say and I'll say without a fact.

No wonder Bishop Oyedepo during a speech @ function talked about a Ph.D being a waste if no positive thinking leading to positive innovations for the benefit for us all.

Think of this:
You work in the IT department of Jamb, and you discover a flaw that would lead to misappropriation of scores in Jamb which would lead to mass failure, but your officiating superior decides to cover it up to avoid being queried and/or relieved permanently of his duties. But you with your conscience-stricken heart decide not to let the vast populace fail,by making known the flaw albeit anonymously on a nationally renowned forum.

Couldn't that have been the case here?

Let CBT continue. That is not the issue. What we are saying is #RemarkJamb2016.
If you can't do that, then add 40 marks for all,or prove to us that the scores you sent are indeed the actual ones.
But the main thing here is remark the examination and send the scores. If possible, let us be able to see the marking scheme.

Thank you for the information. After writing Post UTME, will there be another cut-off mark? Will your score for admisson be decided be an average of your JAMB and PUTME together or just the PUTME score?

na back to topic. The man has tried. And I don't think students are clamouring for the removal of the CBT. The protest held was misinterpreted. Yes,there were a lot of hitches this year but last year was fully computer based test and the complains were not much. I don't no why the idea of going back to the ppt. That's baldadash


The protest is mainly for the low and outrageous scores. How do they explain someone who scored about 250 last year only to intensify efforts and end up getting 178 this year .note that this was a common problem. how about the addition of 40marks to some candidates how do you explain that . The same error they complained of also happened to many yet there scores cant qualify them to sit for post ume .


Why should students protest for the scrap of CBT? no one want to write again. They protest for a remark! scraping the CBT won't add to their marks. so why protest on the that. abeg I don tire to type.

if JAMB can't remark ,then they should reduce the cut off further so that many will be able to sit for the post ume and prove their worth or better still add the 40 marks to everybody.

This is just it. We don't want CBT scrapped,just remark the examination. If you can't, then reduce the cut-off mark so we can write Post UTME. I won't be surprised if I see people scoring higher in Post UTME than those who passed them in JAMB.

How do you take an exam and be sure of your score? How many times has that worked out accurately? How can you say so assuredly that the marking is wrong? Did you look at the code behind? Did you see that the answers put in are wrong? It is a computer, Garbage in Garbage out, how can it mark it wrong?... Na wa O

So when you take an exam totalling 100 marks, you will not know whether you will score 80(give or take 10 marks) or whether you will score 40.
Or you want to assume that everyone who wrote from 8th upwards are just dullards?
You ask how a computer can misappropriate scores?Go and ask Dibu that question. It was the work of a computer so why did it take so many days for my result to come out online and why send me multiple results?

If UTME is removed, what will happen to those given scores lower than they should have received. So the only hope they have from being released from Jamb's tyranny which is the UTME should also be removed? This is how people perpetrate ideas that will affect the future of other innocents.
So if someone cheated in Jamb, that will be the end. No other test to prove he/she worthy to enter the higher institution. SMH

Take exams and be sure of the least score you should expect. Then come out of exam and see half or 3/4 of that score. And someone somewhere is expecting you to take it as your score, as if this is the first time you're writing a computer based exam. They did well in the aspect of input of answers but marking appropriating correct marks afterwards which is the more important part, they failed. Well, everyone has his/her own view.

I don't believe anybody is sponsoring any protests against Jamb. People are genuinely worried about misappropriation of result scores. The truth is Jamb was not ready CBT.
Talking about making the next Jamb better means that those unjustly affected by misappropriation will waste a whole year of their lives waiting for a would-be "better" examination.
Why should so many people suffer for the frivolities of just one board?
