Dennis should start writing apology letters ahead of March at this point
If Dennis continues his form, na Chuks he go bench las las because Simon don grab that left wing.

Na Chuks una suppose dey pray for to improve because his performance so far has not been up to expectations.

Emmett Till happened in the 50's. The days of negro lynching and civil rights protests. That's what you argue with in a millennial, gen z dominated era with substantial social awareness and human empathy.

Are you sure you're living in today's America, or did you find yourself deep in the Midwest, surrounded by white farmers with rifles grin?
I never one day believed that the guy lives abroad. It may just be a facade for social media. No Nigerian or African I have seen that lives in the US has the mentality he has.

Hold up, are you talking about Aribo's performance with Rangers FC or Super Eagles??

Are you aware Nwakali is a Nigerian HERO ??

The kind of disrespect he suffers here is quite unimaginable.....He is a national hero !!
Chrisantus, Bamgboye, Musa Muhammed are all national heroes too. Why don't they come back to play for the SE?

How come the teams we played in the qualifiers of world cup seems to be pulling weight this afcon

Sierra Leone and now cape Verde..

And funny enough, people were of the opinion we could have won them by wide margin..

Now I hope y'all can see that the super eagles is the best team in Africa
Yes, we could have won them by a wide margin.

Compare our game without some key players like Osimhen to the nonsense we played with Rohr even when we had our best players.

Rohr was a good coach but even the best products have an expiry date. Look at Djamel Belmadi now. Guy was the hot cake of African football but see how he is expiring.

That's right but don't forget Algeria can be in the mix too if they manage to defeat Ivory coast by a goal margin

I don't know why I'm even bringing up this permutation convo tbh, the eagles I saw against Egypt will outplay and defeat any team in this AFCON. it's only Cameron that may be a bit hard nut to crack but I still don't think they stand a chance against us

All things being equal, Nigeria na confirmed favourite for the trophy
Cameroon are playing nonsense today from what I've seen so far. The Tunisia I saw against Mauritania will comfortably dispatch this Cameroon side, let alone us.

i am not really sold on that sadiq guy, he hasn’t really impressed, to say i am disappointed in his performances so far is an understatement,i think we should see someone else or continue with awoniyi
Awoniyi himself didn't really impress with almost 45 mins of game time against CAR in Lagos, but see how well he is doing here.

Sadiq came in 72' against Egypt, 82' against Sudan. That's 26 minutes of gametime so far in the tournament. That's too small to judge a player on, especially if he has not been given a chance to start.

Let him start. If he performs poorly first half chop him off and put Olayinka in as CF. We are so lucky to have a dead rubber game, let's use the opportunity well.

Hahaha....tell me you aren't scared Nwakali's performance will dwarf Aribo's if given full time and constantly.

You can play Aribo if you like but dont get hurt when your hype didn't equal the performances. Aribo has struggled in SE shirt before Eguavon, did you all forget ....lmao
I want Nwakali to start against Bissau. If he doesn't produce what Aribo has been producing... well it's not his fault, he is not on Aribo's level so you can't really expect the same performance.

I will be happy though if he comes close. It'll give us much desired depth from the bench going forward.

My opinion about that Guinea-Bissau game is not to make too many changes to the starting lineup. It is very important that we maintain consistency and win that game against Guinea Bissau. We need to continue to build that momentum and maintain that winning spirit, also for more team cohesion.

I think Eguavoen should maintain that same backline and Ndidi- Aribo Midfield Combo. One of the starting wingers may start from the bench and We may give Sadiq a starting role for him to fully prove himself. For me, not more than 3 changes to the starting line up and it should be in the advanced positions.
You can't play the same personnel every game. Which team that went far in any tournament you have watched used the same starting lineup from matchday 1 to finals? Your players will get fatigued, some will pick up muscle injuries. Remeber, games are 4 days apart and the matches only get tougher and more intense.

The mild fielders i would love to see on wednesday.

Onyeka
Nwakali
Iwobi

These guys should get the job done against guinea bissau..

Attack should be henry on the right, ejuke on the left awoniyi leading the line…
Good lineup but Awoniyi can't play and start every game, same with Nacho. I say we give Sadiq the opportunity to start and prove that his performance so far is not representative of his qualities.

Quick question pls,
Has Nigeria topped the group to qualified for the quater final with 6 points in hand? Even if Nigeria lose to E. Guinea(not possible tho) and Egypt beat Sudan with a wide goal margin

Simply put, is the head to head rule still applicable in AFCON?
Yes, head-to-head is applicable in this AFCON.

Your first question is a no, we not confirmed as table toppers now because if super eagles loose by a goal margin we will be on +2, while Egypt winning by 3 goal margin they will top us and be on +3
Head-to-head is considered stronger than goal difference in this tournament.

The Algerian coach seems to be playing favorites... Benrahma not starting for the second game in a row, Ounas not even on the bench.

Algeria have really regressed. They are not commanding games anymore like they used to. It started with the WCQ when Burkina exposed them twice. We thought they would keep their form into the world cup and do Africa proud, especially after they won the Arab cup. Seems we would have to turn our hopes elsewhere, maybe to Nigeria if we can keep Eguavoen going into the world cup.

By the way, I wonder why NFF haven't canceled the sham deal they had with Peseiro already. That guy's 5-4-1 formation killed Venezuela. Very poor coach, another ultra-defensive coach not much different to Rohr.

It's so funny how Rangers fans approach any praise of Joe Aribo.

Once someone commends Aribo, they are on the tweet begging people to stop saying nice things of him. If you're a Rangers fan and you make a positive tweet about him, they ask you to delete so others don't see it. They are talking about how Nigeria should crash out early, so, nobody can notice him.

Probably the most vocal of club fans for any of our players. It's nice to see
He is their best player, many EPL clubs are looking into his matter this transfer window. They are also close to winning a second consecutive title. They know him leaving is inevitable, but they want him to stay until at least the end of the season when the title is in the bag and hope they can negotiate a new contract with him.

Sierra Leone Vs Algeria 0-0 , Sierra Leone vs Ivory Coast 2-2. It is obvious they have a tactical coach couple with determined players. Great results against two heavyweight
They are not tactical anything. They just have a very good keeper, are extremely physical, and extremely lucky.

Cote d' Ivoire are playing advance nonsense. They are the most lax team I have seen so far in this tournament. Every minute they are creating chances and exploiting spaces, but they are just so lazy and inefficient. No sense of urgency after moving into good positions, no desire to kill off games.

If we meet this Sierra Leone side, we will give them nothing less than 3. They are not a good side. It is almost like they are using jazz. You play so well against them, but once you come close to their penalty box you just forget your occupation as a footballer. Ivory Coast had at least ten different chances to kill this game, they wasted all. Same with Algeria.

Why Kamara run comot from him net abeg? He literally stepped aside to allow Haller score
The way Haller was positioned with the ball centrally, he could score in either corner. It was basically an in-game penalty. Kamara chose right, Haller went left.

Thank God Sadiq saw 30 minutes of game time today and 15 minutes in the last game

It is not the usual 10 minutes cameo. He did not get a cameo and we have seen more than enough

Iwobi that came on for less than 10 minutes against Egypt, we saw what he did in those 10 minutes.

A player who is good does not need to start a game or play for 45 minutes before they show their mettle.

Even Awoniyi's first game, despite not scoring, we saw what he brought.

Please, let us not even try to use game time to make excuses for some players, because there is no truth to it in this scenario.
Sadiq hasn't seen up to 30 mins total since the tournament started, so what do you mean?

Let's see players start first, that's all I'm saying. 10, 20 or 30 mins, sub is still a sub.

Remember Osimhen vs. Tunisia 3rd plaace game? Osimhen tried as a sub, but he came into a dead game and played a whole halff almost isolated. He had only one half-chance which was off target. Imagine, Rohr and many people on this thread used that game to justify why he didn't play other games in that AFCON. That was full 45 mins o.

Let us start a player and see how he plays in a fresh game to clearly assess his abilities. That is all I am saying. Guinea Bissau is a dead rubber game. I expect to see a rotated squad to give our main guys rest.

I hope you guys sha know if Osimhen came to this tournament, we may never have known how good Awoniyi really is. Awoniyi would be getting like 10 mins gametime at the end of games when the game is dead already. Because of limited gametime, he may not be able to grow into games and would probably look poor and out of place.

This is why I don't like bashing debutant subs. Give a player a starting berth in a normal game where he can show his abilities on equal footing with everyone else before concluding that he is not a good player.

Showing exactly as I said. Not as aggressive as Osimhen, but he plays more for the team than Osimhen does. We are set for striking options in coming years.

My Observations and Notes after the First Twenty Minutes:

*There is no creativity in this Nigeria's fiest eleven.

*Ndidi , KC and Aribo has not shown their presence.

*Moses has been a bit quiet.

* We have lost the midfield...there is no creativity.

* It beginning to show Aribo offers very little in midfield control.

*Sudan is becoming more threatening and dominating the midfield.

*Awoniyi is not getting any ball supply.

* Chukwueze and Aina most lively.

Suggestion: We definitely need some form of authority and control in the midfield....Nwakali's introduction has become crucial if you mind.
