Subzero047:Replace Dele-Bashiru with Onyeka and you have the best lineup we can muster. |
Dennis uses Ndidi's head to get a penalty. |
Ekong with another stupid defensive error to gift Maddison a goal. |
Utonwanne:Footballers generally, but I used Igbo boys as a point of contact because you can readily compare. |
mkrest:Villareal defense is a mess. Estupinan is a defensive Adama Traore. Chukwueze is not dribbling as he used to, which is both good and bad. Good because it shows his game is improving, bad because it is still necessary in some situations to beat your man. Gerard Moreno's injury is really hurting Villareal this season. |
komekn:I provided players to back up my statement. Before dismissing it, at least provide a reason to. I personally think that the more competitive your environment is, the higher your drive to succeed, and that could be a reason for that. |
Am I the only one that has noticed that Igbo boys raised in Lagos are more ambitious career-wise compared to Igbo boys born and raised in the East. Compare Ndidi/Onuachu with Nacho/Nwakali/even Chuks whose development has stalled for years now. |
Onuachu was in match day squad for Dinamo Zagreb game but didn’t play. He is not even in match day squad for their next game this weekend. Potential move or injury? |
charlesemeka85:German international, capped multiple times. Also what Napoli needs right now is a backup striker for Osimhen because Petagna is not there at all. |
TFLASHOGEE:Nacho has the 'touch' players like Salah, Messi, Ronaldinho etc have. The problem was that he became lazy. Refused to develop his fitness, work rate, pace, etc. Osimhen is as gifted as Nacho, but in a different way. You don't have to have the touch to be gifted. Ronaldo doesn't have it, yet he is a GOAT. One thing though I have noticed with Osimhen is that his ball control, especially with aerial balls, is special. Guy can trap any ball, no matter how high. However, his first touch is surprisingly poor, which is weird with someone with excellent ball control. Also, his crosses are pinpoint accurate, but his short passing is also poor. That is usually the difference between kids who have been playing from academies at 9 years and guys like Osimhen who grew up with street ball. Some of the simpler things like short passes and first touch are missing in Osimhen's portfolio because they weren't drilled into him when he was very young. However, he is better at the more natural things that only talent can help you with like ball control and crossing. |
Subzero047:More like he didn't fit West Ham's style of play. Haller always had the talent. |
Oma bleeped up badly by asking Klopp to apologize. When you use the words “small” or “little” in the context Klopp used it, it is obviously sarcastic or humorous or ironic e.g “I have not gone out today because of one small exam I am preparing for” or “I am just managing my little Range Rover” etc etc. I suffered second hand embarrassment watching that video. Imagine getting offended by someone for using sarcasm/irony in his second language which turns out to be your own country‘s official language. It just shows that even Klopp that is German and learnt English on the side knows English language better than Oma who is a journalist from a country that has English as its official language. |
And still not getting invites.
|
Chuks was noticeably poor today. Villareal seem not to be playing to his strengths. |
ChrisKels:Comparing Swedish league to Champions league? Bro. The better the players you are playing against, the less good/special you look as a player. |
Also, I would prefer if Osimhen stayed with his club and helps them win the Scudetto than if he comes with us to AFCON, because there is no way we remotely deserve to win that AFCON. It is better we get beat in AFCON and learn from it than we masquerade with Osimhen carrying the team on his shoulders and end up getting bronze or something again, then we look like a decent team when in reality we are not. |
Starboytwo:It is good news for me. We are not ready for this next AFCON. We need to use this AFCON to develop a team that will go far in the World Cup. To me, the AFCON is but a training ground to really hone the arsenal we have for the bigger stage. |
I like the fact that Osimhen is missing AFCON. Guy has been carrying our team for so long. Now that he's out, we will be exposed badly if Rohr is still the coach by then. There will be no way Rohr will carry us to the World Cup. Any new coach must learn how to develop the attacking talents we have asides Osimhen. Osimhen will not always be there, and he doesn't need to considering our bench. |
ChrisKels:He will probably play next week or so with a mask. Dseko did it the last time. |
andrewbaba44:Please remind me of any notable attacking opportunity in our last five games that he was not a part of, either directly or indirectly (e.g creating space for others with his pace and strength). |
andrewbaba44:Osimhen. Difference though is that Osimhen is at his best. We haven't won any game Osimhen has not started since AFCON 2019. |
SoftBrest:Damn This is far worse than I thought. He may miss AFCON. |
TFLASHOGEE:Can we afford Pizzi? This is a former Saudi Arabia coach o. NFF that struggles to pay salaries. The only way we can bring in someone like Pizzi is if an independent non-government owned organization is contracted to pay his salaries. Else, it won't work. |
codemaniacs:You do not understand what I mean by horror injuries. Head injuries are always dangerous because of how delicate the head is. However, the worst and real horror injuries are internal. Outside injuries such as swelling and bleeding are usually good signs. The injuries you cannot see (internal bleeding, concussions) are far worse. With massages and proper treatment, he will be back in a few days maybe with a headband or some sort of headgear. For example, the injury Ospina had was far more dangerous than Osimhen's, even though Ospina continued. Di Lorenzo had to put his hand in Ospina's mouth to stop him from choking to death. That was how bad it was. |
Subzero047:It is not a horror injury. He could probably have continued, but his visibility would have been affected. That's a regular head injury we have normally when heads collide. He should be back in training tomorrow. |
Meliforme:Technique, simply, is knowing the optimal move to make with the ball at a particular point in time that will lead to the overall progress of the team. It could be to pass, to dribble, or even to shoot. |
yinkeys:Vlahovic takes penalties. Four scored this season. Ten goals total. 6 non penalty goals. Osimhen has 5 non-penalty goals with one less game. |
andrewbaba44:We are finished then... Any mistakes/Last minute Rohr's packing bus fails and it's over. |
andrewbaba44:The reason is not connected to their actual abilities, but off-the-pitch issues (mostly arguments about starting games, attitude issues, issues with coach etc). |
Dennis with 4 goals and 4 assists in 10 games in the EPL this season. Arguably our second best player in Europe this season behind Osimhen. |
Dennis with an assist. Man of the match so far. |
do4luv14:Two in a row actually. First one was retaken, the mumu Sarr still missed the second. |
