Problem was, Nacho wasn't pressing. That was why Rodgers brought in Maddison. No press, no counter, no hold up play. It was like Rodgers gave him instructions to stay back and contribute in build up play which limited his game play.

Ndidi didn't start well, it felt like he was overrun by Kante, but we could all see how he grew into the game and dominated the misfield in the second half.

Did you watch the game? Iheanacho was almost playing as a midfielder at a point. Dropped too deep, when time came for counters, he was too far behind. Poor first touch, poor hold up play. Chelsea kept winning the ball back from him with his back to goal.

He also felt burnt out at a point. He should have played further forward, run into spaces etc.

Iheanacho isn't a big game player.

Yes. He has 8 clean sheets in 11 games, with only 3 goals conceded. I don't think any keeper in UCL history has a better record, ever.

Sincerely, I had some level of concern when Osimhen was going to Napoli, especially considering the way Serie A teams are set up.

Napoli plays like someone who buys a Ferrari and decides to drive it in traffic. You have blistering pace in your arsenal, but you choose to play like a go slow. Very annoying.

Napoli can't go anywhere with their current set up. Keeps possession, no drive, everyone wants to shoot. No crossing, no through passes, nothing. Osimhen would do best to leave before they stagnate his progress.

The way Napoli play, no CF can thrive. Everyone that gets ball in the opponents half wants to shoot or dribble unnecessarily. Very disgusting style of play.

Hit the post again in the second half. Also had some Robben-esque top corner curlers which were brilliantly saved by Livakovic, the Zagreb keeper. He also put in a good defensive shift, but he was partially at fault for Zagreb's goal. Failed to keep on marking Orsic, allowing him to run in and score.

There is a certain Andrew Omobamidele at Norwich. He is just 18, and already a starter for their first team. He is a defender, and Norwich is playing in the EPL next season as we all know.

Assuming Nwalkali is relatively unknown, given his performance with Alcorion some of us in this thread already will be clamouring for his invitation.

Of every midfielder in perspective, Nwakali is the most suited for the CM role. He looks like the missing ingredient.
In the pecking order: Nwakali-Etebo-Aribo-Ejaria.

Aribo is above Nwakali and Etebo.

Like play like joke, it will be very funny when you see Aribo playing for a team like Liverpool in few years time. He is English, so it will be easy for him to get clubs in EPL. When Agu was playing week in week out Rohr ignored him just like he did with Onyekuru who every "sane" person knows merited to be in the team abead of Moses Simeon. Now , since Aribo started playing for Nigeria what is the impact he has made on the team, so far ? I put it to you that the only reason Aribo is playing for Nigeria is based on his English privilege , which Rohr has no problem validating. Rohr has never given Agu a clear opportunity to prove himself simply because he has no confidence in his talent. Of course , we all know you have a loose nut in your brain , hence your penchant to make careless utterances.

The only match Agu was given a bit of chance was against Zambia in the world cup qualifiers and he played excellently. I will never rate Aribo ahead of Agu because I know Agu has more talent just like I will not put Aina ahead of Awaziem.

Thankfully, Rohr will soon leave and all these foreign born otu will get a reality check.

Agu that I watched against Algeria? That guy deserves to be flogged mercilessly for his performance. Trying to dribble and impress as a DM when he should be humping the ball away to attackers. Algeria almost snatched the ball away from him once, which would have led to their second goal.

It is blasphemy to compare Agu and Aribo. I even prefer Onyeka a million times over Agu.
