I wonder why Iwobi is still in this match.
Nacho seems lost in this game. |

Second half: Remove Ekong, put Awaziem. Remove Iwobi/Etebo, put Onyekuru/Iwuala. At some point, remove Iheanacho, put Onuachu. |

Our passes have been so poor, considering the level at which these players are. |

Chukwueze doesn't dribble as much as before. It seems he is evolving from a Robben kind of player into a more rounded player. However, Chukwueze's dribbles were his greatest threats then and I feel like his unwillingness to cut inside is harming his forward threat. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by drDoom3(m): 5:55pm On Mar 30, 2021 |
Anytime Chukwueze plays a short pass inside the 18 yard box, the receivers (Iheanacho, Etebo, etc) are always afraid to shoot. If Iwobi was a 10 in this game, he would have attempted some of those shots, and maybe scored. Half of his super eagles goals were from similar positions. |

mowah: Thank God they are in the same group, so the risk is minimized. As long as it’s not Senegal, Egypt, Algeria or Tunisia we will be fine. Still have a feeling a minor country will shock everyone and qualify for the World Cup next year I prefer Tunisia or Egypt to Ivory Coast, though. |

JohnBullMySon: Please stop being silly. Has Onuachu missed any close range shot before? give me an example?
Even if you don't rate him, at least don't make yourself a sheep trying to discredit his goal. Asinnn... The way people just talk sentimentally without facts or evidence. Osimhen missed three chances with weak shots to the Benin goalkeeper. First one played through by Onyekuru, second after a one-two with Iheanacho, third the shot leading to the goal. Onuachu had just one goal-scoring opportunity, and he took it with both hands, which is why we are celebrating today. Cut the guy some slack abeg. |

Icon79: Did you know the efforts it took for him to even get a shot out from that awkward spot? Put Onuachu in that spot and he’ll miss the ball completely.
O pari I have watched Onuachu's games with Genk this season. The guy is one of the best finishers to come out of Nigeria. Miles ahead of Osimhen. His problem is that he is not agile and slick enough like Osimhen to create chances out of nothing like Osimhen does, but if you feed him in dangerous positions, he rarely misses. |

Because the dude is one of the most lazy tall players I know
But anyway any tall player can score that goal except he is cursed.... credit should goes to oshimen Exactly how he scored that goal is the secret behind his 25 goals in Belgium. His most important ability is his height and strength in duels. Use it well and reap the benefits. |

zoboizee: Maduka Okoye is an averagely ok goalie. Small pressure and he would crack open with nothing special about him. Have seen him in the Eredivise with that weak team Sparta Rotterdam. Uzoho is better than him. Have not seen any measure of improvement in this guy. Still same weakness. I think his problem is pressure. That's why I said if you've beaten his defenders, you've beaten him already. He is good, but not the kind of keeper that can save a small club in a match against a big club that will keep on knocking. At some point, he just gives in. |

elunico: Do you watch him in the Eredisive? Yes, I do. He makes some quality saves, no doubt. But he isn't the kind of keeper that you can rely on to make quality saves after quality saves in a single game. In some of his conceded goals, his positioning was faulty, and he looked lost. It was almost as if, if you beat his defenders, you had beaten him already. |

zoboizee: I equally believes Uzoho is better than Okoye. Funny how some people think Okoye should be our number one goalie. The guy to me is poor at crossing or aerial ball. Okoye is still very inexperienced. He makes good saves sometimes, but he can't be trusted to make series of saves against tougher teams. For instance, when Nigeria is playing a team like Brazil/Argentina, I would trust Uzoho to make the crucial saves needed to keep us in the game (which he has done multiple times). Maduka may also produce some good saves, but all it takes is one poor save or mistake and we're down by a goal, which we saw against Sierra Leone. |

This Atiemwen guy in Dinamo Zagreb is impressive. Although his ball control and pressing are poor, his passes are exquisite. He gave the assist for Zagreb's second goal against Spurs with a low weighted pass for a tap in. |

elunico: I don't think the news about clubs holding back their players from travelling this international break is true. These countries where these leagues are played would also be participating, I don't know where OGN is getting their news from. The problem is outside Europe. European players who play in Europe under the EU are easily monitored, with less restrictions. Going outside Europe is a different ball game. |

jihday: Fulham and Man City are on par abi what am I seeing? For raw talent, Fulham's first eleven matched Man City's first eleven. Aside the goals, Aguero was lost. Jesus was fairly caged. Only the first goal was legit, the other two were schoolboy errors caused by Fulham's inexperience. |

drDoom3: Fulham can ball, but their players are too inexperienced. So many unpolished talents in that Fulham squad. And talents lacking football IQ. Making schoolboy mistakes. For raw talent, This Fulham team is on par with the Man City they are playing with. However, you can clearly smell the inexperience in their passes and gameplay. The only players in their squad with real experience and football IQ are Areola, Andersen, and Reed. Anguissa slows down the game when he should not, Tosin is overconfident, Aina is too easy to dribble. Even Lookman looks lost. |

Forget the absolute Balderdash presented as rational by some here that exonerates the NFF from crass ineptitude.
I actually think it's not just ineptitude but conflicts of vested interest in players by various parties official and unofficial.
In the HERE and NOW Ademola Lookman is the best Nigerian winger. Fulham can ball, but their players are too inexperienced. So many unpolished talents in that Fulham squad. |

Mumu West Brom players just unnecessarily gave Semi Ajayi a red card. I don't see how this team can avoid relegation. They just play as stupidly as they can in any situation. How do you play a short pass to your last man, knowing there is a striker waiting to intercept it and get one on one with your goalkeeper? |
